I farewelled this paper some time ago, but Nathan and Ididn’t take any photos this weekend, and I was going back through my files to see what hadn’t been posted yet, and I found this group of cards, which is – I promise – the last of kaisercraft English rose paper ( mainly because I haven’t got any of that paper left) and a collection of ribbon and flowers, and some sizzix tattered florals made with my cuttlebug.I am looking forward to spending a few hours in the craft room tonight, I really haven’t had time for a nice long card making session all week, and have quite a few ideas I want to try out. Til tomorrow….

Nature garden 2 – For mum…
For this mothers day card I have used Prima Nature garden, and fussy cut on of the bird images from one of the sheets of patterned paper. I found a kaisercraft acrylic overlay in a drawer which went perfectly over the top for this design, and all i had to add was a length of gold lace. I spent a lovely morning at Paper flourish setting up my May lesson, and i plan to spend some time in my craft room tonight – I haven’t spent much time in there this week, and I have a few ideas I want to try out. Til tomorrow…..
Charlottes Dream 4 – teacup card
I have made a few of these teacup shaped cards now, and they are stunningly easy to do. Just draw your shape onto folded cardstock -( fold at the top) and cut out and decorate. I have used Kaisercraft Charlottes dream Paper, Pool party Stampin Up cardstock, and a couple of Martha Stewart punches to decorate this one, but they are great to use up all those strips of patterned paper that we always seem to be left with! Tonight I will be making another one as I have an order for one to do. Til tomorrow….
Charlottes Dream 3
The paper is Kaisercrafts new release Charlottes Dream, and I dyed the seam binding from cream to green with some stampin up reinker in certainly celery to match. The Butterfly is cut with another new die I purchased, by Memory Box, – it’s actually 2 dies – Moonlight butterfly and Kaleidoscope butterfly, but they are designed to fit together or you can use them seperately. I just added a paper flower ,kaisercraft pearls and a sentiment from my Stampin Up Blessed Mother set. Cooking tea as we speak, so must go for now.. Til tomorrow….
Charlottes dream…
Here is a card with a couple of firsts… The first card I made with Kaisercrafts new paper collection – Charlottes dream, and the first card i made with my new die made by memory box called La Rue Flourish. It is the most dainty die – I worried that it wouldn’t work well through my cuttlebug, but I have purchased a metal adapter plate to add to the cuttlebug sandwich, and it works like a dream! I also used my well used Sizzix tattered florals ( a most popular addition to my cards – Every card with one of these flowers on it sold at the market today), Stampin up Bird punch for the leaves, and some gorgeous lace , which I just wanted to keep… to finish it off. As I mentioned a busy day at the market, and beautiful weather, but so tired now, I will just be sitting in front of the T.V. tonight.. Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft These days number 7..
I can’t believe how many cards I have made from this Kaisercraft These Days paper collection. I would normally space the posts out a little bit so that you don’t all get bored seeing the same papers, but as Nathan was busy last weekend we didn’t take any photos of my cards, – tomorrow will be photo day. I added a doily, ribbon, a bling flourish and used my cuttlebug to die cut a sizzix tattered floral which was put together with a kaisercraft brad. I fussy cut around one of the papers for the roses along the bottom of the card.Another Mothers day card done! Til tomorrow….
These days 5 – Mothers day
This is number 5 in my Kaisercraft These days paper collection series, and although I still have a lot of cards in this collection to show, we will take a little break for a day or two before we come back to them. For this card I used a bit of a 12 x 12 sheet and a couple of the collectables which I edged in tea dye ink. I added acouple of randomly spaced Prima flowers.Today has been a lazy day with a bit of crafting, and I have been dying a few lengths of cream seam binding ready for my next projects. For now it’s back to the craft room. Til tomorrow….
These days 4 – Mothers day
Todays card is number 4 in my These days kaisercraft series. I have combined the 6″ paper pad with the matching collectables, and added some lace, flowers, and used martha stewarts fern punch and a border punch. The cameo was stamped with a stamp from Oxford Impressions jane Austen set. I had a lovely morning with my group of ladies at paper Flourish – we had a great lesson today. I have tomorrow off work, and the rest of my family are tied up all weekend with putting on a couple of wrestling shows for the fringe, so the weekend stretches peacefully in front of me with lots of time for crafting with all my new purchases! Bliss…. Til tomorrow…
These days 2 – Mothers day
This one is kaisercraft these days papers, Sizzix tattered Florals and 3D Flowers dies, and memory box lord faunterloy die. I added a doily, lace, punched leaves, and the greeting was stamped with a stampin Up stamp – Blessed Mother. I like these colours – they make a change from the usual pinks that i often grab for Mothers day cards – What do you think? I will be found in the card room for a little while tonight, making some boys cards. til tomorrow…..
Farewell to English rose
In keeping with my new years resolution to use up some of the paper collections I have accumulated I took out this one – Kaisercraft English Rose, which was released last year before Mothers day. I had made a lot of cards with this paper at the time, it has been a favourite, but it was time to use up the little bits that were left. Who knew I would get so many more cards out of the scraps! I have used various dies, ribbon, cardstock, lace, flowers and bling and still had bits left so I took the leftovers to the Village ladies for them to use on their Mothers day cards for the troops. This photo took Nathan and I half an hour to take, the light wasn’t good, and the cards kept falling. I was up on a chair holding the backdrop and had no control over it so its not as good as nathan likes but I gave up! Today is an exciting day in my blog world because at some stage this afternoon someone is going to be my 30,000th visitor. That number has made me stop and think about all things bloggy! In the past 18 months since I started my blog I think my cardmaking has come a long way, and I have learnt lots of new techniques thanks to the many lovely friends I have made in the crafting world. I have started teaching in that 18 months as well, and some of my students are also my blog followers and my friends. I have developed e -mail friendships with lovely ladies around the world, and I love hearing how life is in other countries.Of course Nathan has been with me all the way as my techie support and my photographer. We have taken close to 600 photos of my cards – to the point that the budgie makes the click of the camera as soon as she sees Nathan coming with it! Would I stop blogging – No Way – it’s like a crafting diary that I just happen to be sharing with as many people as want to see it and I am so appreciative that you all do ! This is a very long post today – I better go or else I will have no time for card making today! Til tomorrow….
