A bit more paper from the Tea for two designer paper range from Stampin Up. This time I cut out some of the hexagonal paper, and layered it onto each other to make this hexagonal flower, and added an inked doily, a bit more paper wrapped in twine, and stamped a sentiment from the Vintage verses stamp set with soft suede ink. The embossed background was achieved with my stampin up honeycomb embossing folder onto very vanilla cardstock, and the card base is stampin Up Bashful Blue.I have finished making the sewing box I was doing, and am eager to get back to my cardmaking, but once again it is incredibly hot here, so it may be a cool night under the air conditioner watching t.v! All stampin Up nature card
Todays card is a favourite. I lean towards nature inspired cards when I am making cards just for fun, and this one is no exception. The designer paper is from Stampin up – it’s a retired collection, but I bought up big when it was available because I fell in love with it!Cardstock is stampin up early espresso and very vanilla, and I used my stampin up designer frames embossing folder and labels collection framelits. I punched out the centre of the embossed oval with an oval punch, and stamped an image from Stampin up organic grace stamp set to set behind the resulting frame.a little linen twine and a stamped and cut out butterfly finished off this one.I have completed a card order today, and now I am starting to organise my january classes, which will be here before I know it! For You
Here is a different style of card for me – hardly any patterned paper! I have relied on stamps and dies for this one. Everything on this cards Stampin Up – the patterned paper is from the comfort cafe designer paper collection, the stamps are from the Layered Labels stamp set, the dies are from the Apothecary accents framelits die set, cardstock and ink are Cajun craze and soft suede, and even the ribbon is stampin up – crumbcake! I have quite a few projects on the go in the craft room today, which is highly unusual for me – I like to finish one thing before I start on another, so tonight my mission is to clear up some of the outstanding projects.Til tomorrow….
The Last prima songbird ( number 10 and 11)
Well this is it. The last two cards from my Prima Songbird patterned paper series. 11 cards from 4 sheets of paper was pretty good, and I only have little scraps left.I used stampin up sentiment stamps on these two, and trimmed with lace, seam binding, prima flowers, liquid pearls and bling strips. Tomorrow I might check if there are any more Fathers day cards in my files to be shown, for those of you that have left your cards til the last minute!Til tomorrow….
Thank You card
Still using the Fine and Sunny kaisercraft range of papers and collectables today ( the last one) and I stamped the sentiment with a Stampin Up stamp from the Perfectly penned set. I dyed some seam binding and tied it a ribbon and added it to the top of the card.We had a lovely lesson today, and my girls did a great job of following my garbled instructions! The great news is that I am doing a few extra lessons next month, so giving up my other job is a goal that is getting closer! Til tomorrow….
The Lake house 3
Still using the 6″ pad from Kaisercraft The Lake House,I fussy cut around the flower sheet, and also cut a couple of extra flowers to pop on top with mounting squares. I added some ribbon, a stick pin, and flower, and used some liquid pearls and kindyglitz to decorate, and also slipped in a die cut from the matching collectables pack. The cardstock is Stampin Up Early Espresso.I am busy this week coming up with some lesson ideas, but also very busy at work, so a bit tired when I get home, already looking forward to the weekend when I intend to craft a lot! Magnolia grove 2
Kaisercraft Magnolia grove number 2… Again I have used the 12 x 12 papers, and the matching collectables. The sentiment is Stampin Up perfectly penned ( love that stamp) and in the top corner I have done a little arrangement with one of my hand crocheted doilies ( still learning – don’t look too closely) , ribbon, and prima flower and prima petals pin – these were new in my local craft shop the other day and I couldn’t resist them…. Magnolia grove
Straight off I want to say that I found this paper a challenge – it is very pretty, but the muted colours are not what I usually choose, but learning is all about stretching yourself, so I will share my creations with you! I did make an initial 4 cards with this paper which sold before I could photo them, so some people do like this colourway. The paper is Kaisercraft Magnolia Grove, and I have also used the matching collectables, some kaisercraft pearls, lace, ribbon and websters pages clear rhine sparkler. The papers used on this one are all cut from 12 x 12 sheets. Til tomorrow….
Rue des Fleurs number 4
This card was so simple – Baja breeze ( stampin Up) cardstock, Stampin Up attic boutique designer paper, and the Rue Des fleurs stamp set. The die used for the label was stampin Up decorative labels die, and I lightly coloured the image with inks and a blender pen and sponged the edges with so saffron ( stampin Up) ink..I do like this particular stamp, and when I get home from my trip I look forward to doing some more with it!
