Todays card is a favourite. I lean towards nature inspired cards when I am making cards just for fun, and this one is no exception. The designer paper is from Stampin up – it’s a retired collection, but I bought up big when it was available because I fell in love with it!Cardstock is stampin up early espresso and very vanilla, and I used my stampin up designer frames embossing folder and labels collection framelits. I punched out the centre of the embossed oval with an oval punch, and stamped an image from Stampin up organic grace stamp set to set behind the resulting frame.a little linen twine and a stamped and cut out butterfly finished off this one.I have completed a card order today, and now I am starting to organise my january classes, which will be here before I know it! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Periwinkle number 1
Here is another kaisercraft collection that I purchased last month, but due to the volume of christmas cards I have made, I haven’t had time to fully explore. I have managed to make a couple which I will post today and tomorrow, hopefully I will get back to it soon… collection is Kaisercraft Periwinkle, and I have also used the matching collectables here. The cardstock is Stampin Up early esspresso, and the sentiment is also stampin up. I tied a big ribbon for a bit of added interest, and sponged the bird in a matching shade to tie it all in. I am in the craft room today, have made another 10 cards using kaisercraft turtle dove – that brings the total up to 40! great collection.I am not going to photo them as I think you are all over that particular collection. I have moved on to boys cards, and will be photoing them. Til tomorrow…
Prima songbird 5 and 6
Here are 2 cards, same design , just different colourways. Still using my limited supply of Prima songbird paper, and punched a border with an ek success border punch. I added a seam binding ribbon, prima flower and some strips of bling. It’s shopping night tonight, but I am hoping to get into the craft room for a little while as I have an idea for a class card I want to try out – til tomorow…
prima Songbird number 2 ( and 3)
A late post today as I have spent a lovely afternoon over at kays playing with all her crafty stuff ( she’s got some good stuff!)and I have come home in the mood for stamping, so after this I will spend a little while in the craft room digging out my unused stamps looking for new ways to use them. Tonights cards are still my Prima Songbird group, I loved the strips of birds balancing on top of each other,so didn’t alter them to much. The cardstock is a retired stampin up colour, and the sentiments are from various stampin up sets.I distressed all the edges, annd sponged them with Tim Holtz Antique Linen, then just added seam binding, liquid pearls, and prima flowers. Til tomorrow….
A found stamp…
While I was looking for something else entirely I found a stamp I had purchased at the same time I bought the matching papers ( kaisercraft English Rose) and filed away and then promptly forgot about, so I thought it was about time it was inked up, and I made this series of cards, same design, just changing the colourways.I used my new Cheery Lyn Polynesian sails Oval die, and coloured the stamped images with Tim Holtz distress inks and an aquabrush.I have found the perfect paper for male themed cards, ( Simple stories Awesome) and today I have been on a creative roll making lots of boys and mens cards.Til tomorrow….
Elegant Bird
I fell in love with this Stampin Up Elegant Bird die, although i didn’t realise it would cut such a large bird – all the same he’s a beauty! On this card I used Stampin Up Twitterpated designer paper, bazzil and stampin up cardstock – basic Grey, a My Minds eye brad, button and ribbon. I ran the body of the bird through the cuttlebug with my trusty swiss dots folder – the first embossing folder I ever bought and still the one I reach for most.No Cards tonight as it’s shopping night and I have to get my gear together for my Paper Flourish class tomorrow – I am looking forward to seeing all my ladies. Til tomorrow….
Apothecary art stamp set number 4
This is the last in my apothecary art stamp set series, and its a very simple one. The cardstock was Stampin up basic grey and blushing bride ( I did mention I was haveing a pink and grey period) and the stampin up designer paper is Twitterpated. The labels were die cut with Stampin Up labels collection.I just added a little ribbon, and coloured the stamped image subtly with ink pads and a blender pen.I have some new Kaisercraft paper that i got a couple of weeks ago, and haven’t cut into yet, so tonight I will be found in the craft room if it’s not too cold in thwere! Til tomorrow….

sketch series for scraps number 9.. the final..

Hello! If you have been following my sketch series you would by now realise I don’t have very much of my original 2 sheets of 12 x 12 paper left! In fact only enough to cut these 3 squares and punch some flowers out of the scraps! So here it is a clean and simple card. The cardstock mat is stampin Up Pool Party, the paper is of course Stampin Up Everyday enchantment, and the punches are Martha Stewarts hydrangea punches. I made use of that old mis printed book and die cut a few petals from Stampin Up blossom party die. My American Crafts neapolitan card follows the sketch exactly, and I used a Stampin Up cardstock – blushing Bride for the matting on this one.Tomorrow we move on to something different – Til tomorrow….
Sketch series for using scraps number 1

Over the next week I will be posting a series which I have called Sketches for using scraps. I have thought hard about how to present this series as there are quite a few card ideas in it, but Nathan convinced me that doing it this way was best – we will see. The top card is the ” experimental” card, and for all those in the series I used just two sheets of 12 x 12 paper , 9 cards in all, which is great value when watching your purse! The 2 sheets are from Stampin Up designer series – Everyday Enchantment, and I love this paper. The second card is a copy of the basic design of the first sketch card and for these cards I used 4 sheets of American Crafts Neapolitan collection. I still have a lot of this paper left and will make more with it at a later stage. It too is great paper, the handy hint for all the sketches I have done is make sure you purchase a stripe pattern, floral pattern, and a quite plain pattern. With the stampin up paper I found all these just on two sheets, and I have also done some of these cards as a lesson and managed to do the same with some Kaisercraft paper so it easy to do, and total value for money! The litttle flower on the top card was punched out of old book pages with a punch and a little perfect pearls in the centre. for the second card I added two brads and the cardstock used for the card base was Stampin Up certainly Celery.Til tomorrow…..
