Simple Stories I am, 1,2,3 and 4..
Last month I chose some Simple Stories paper to prepare for Mays class, and before I knew it I had made 10 cards. I couldn’t choose which cards to do for the class, so in May my ladies will be making 10 cards! Anyway, I went back and purchased for myself some more paper, and the matching brads, washi paper tape, packet of bits and pieces, and chipboard pieces, sat down over one weekend ,used it all, and made 32 cards. I love this paper! So easy to create with it. Here are the first 4 cards, we might see a few and take a bit of a break otherwise you may all get thoroughly sick of seeing it!Today I taught a lesson at Paper Flourish, and then headed to the shops to pick up some groceries as the shops are closed on Saturday for Anzac day, , my usual day for shopping.we have a busy weekend coming up as it’s Mums 80th birthday and we are having a big family shindig! Simple Stories the story of us numbers 11 and 12
Here are the last two cards in my simple stories – the story of us series. The top card (anniversary) has just lace and sequins added, while the bottom card just has a bit of fussy cutting and sequins.I did enjoy making these cards – the paper was so easy to work with, and I made all these cards just in one sitting.Love it when that happens.Last night I went to a class to learn how to colour with copic markers, lots to learn all at once, so today I have been in the craft room practising, but I have to get a few more colours before I can complete any of my images. So I moved onto distress ink colouring as I have a lot of images stamped out ready to paint, so no completed work today, just relaxing fun playing with colours! til tomorrow…..
Simple Stories – The story of us, 9 and 10.
Two wedding cards today, although the bottom card could also be used for anniversary, engagement or even valentines day, from Simple stories the story of us paper collection.A bit of fussy cutting involved here, especially on the top card, and just some punched leaves, pearls, and ribbon bow to finish. Thank you all for sticking with me through this simple stories marathon, we have two more tomorrow and then we will move on! I certainly got my moneys worth with theses few sheets of paper!Today I sat down at my craft table and found some images I had stamped and coloured, so I turned them all into cards so feel good – I tidied and created all at once! Til tomorrow…
Simple Stories, The story of us 7 and 8
Two more cards made with Simple stories ..The story us paper collection. I used doilies and flowers, punched leaves and liquid pearls on both these cards, and the addition of die cut hearts ( one run through my machine with a swiss dots embossing folder) on the bottom card.Today I was out and about looking for a smaller desk for my craft room. The trestle table just invites random placing of items, and before I know it no room for me to work, but so far no luck in my search. ikea have an ideal one but they were out of stock, and I really wanted to organise my room while I was on holiday, but i will just have to wait!Til tomorrow….
Simple Stories, the story of us 5 and 6..
Simple Stories, the story of us paper collection. the beauty of this paper was that it didn’t need too much else to complete the cards. The top card has some fussy cutting, sequins, ribbon and a leaf punch, while the bottom card has the addition of a doily, flower some sequins and leaf punch.Today I have been busy putting together some Ikea furniture, while Nathan rejigged the sitting room corner where my computer lives. So pleased with myself that I managed to follow the instructions and build my 2 drawer wooden filing cabinet, and I only have a couple of screws and thingmajigs left over. I hope they weren’t integral to the sturdiness of my cabinet! Til tomorrow….

Simple Stories the story of us number 1 and 2
I bought just a few sheets of this collection – Simple stories the story of Us ( I think it’s really meant to be used for scrapbooking pages but I saw lots of card making potential) and made so many cards just in one sitting, that I am going to put them up two at a time otherwise we will be going for quite some time !the top card has quite a bit of product, starting with sequins to match the sequin patterned background, doily, die cut hearts, ribbon, kaisercraft mini flowers, martha stewart leaf punch, liquid pearls and a stampin up sentiment. At the other end of the scale the second card only has a few sequins and a couple of leaf punches. The rest of this one was fussy cut bits from the papers.Throughout the range of Cards that you will see I have used metallic cardstock in gold and / or silver for the matting. This afternoon I have been in the craft room planning April classes – I know I am really getting ahead of myself, but I had some new kaisercraft paper – it was released this month – Betsys couture – and I really wanted to use it for a class and April will be the first opportunity to do so. I love this paper, and can’t wait to start creating my own cards with this range! Til tomorrow…

Here are the final two cards in my Simple stories hello baby series, although I do have paper left so we will revisit at some stage! As before, all product used is from the simple stories range with the exception of the cardstock which is from stampin Up.( and the ribbon which is from my rather large stash!)On to something different tomorrow – maybe some cards using some older paper that I was attempting to use up! til tomorrow….
