Beautiful season

I thought it was time to share some xmas cards, which is what I have been working on this weekend. These ones were made using my new Stampin Up stamp set – Beautiful season. I stamped in choc chip ink, and coloured with Cherry cobbler and old olive ink and an aquabrush. The cardstock is stampin up, and I also used Nestabilities label eights,a Martha stewart punch, and some ribbon.I have done my first scrapbook layout this weekend as well – last night I was at a Paper Flourish staff party, and the whole have a photo taken and then do a layout was sprung on us, but it was very enjoyable and did drag me out of my cardmaking comfort zone.  when I have added the photo, I will get Nathan to photo it so i can show you all! Til tomorrow….

Hi…. Beau Chateau

Still using my new designer papers from stampin up – Beau Chateau – I created this card just using the papers and some fussy cutting. The letters were on a sheet of the paper and they spelt out Cherish, would have made a good scrapbook page, but everyone knows by now that I leave the scrapbooking up to my sister!, So instead I cut them out for my card, and added a little soft suede ribbon and kindyglitz to complete. Still not well, so no crafting yet this week. Til tomorrow…..

Cardstock colour Chart

Welcome to my new subscriber! Today is one of the very few times that I am not posting a card. This is my pinboard colour chart which is positioned right opposite my craft table, so now I only have to look up to see what colours I have available to me. The space at the top is reserved for the stampin up new in colours, which arrived today. I was finding that I was stuck in a rut when grabbing cardstock to use and I have a few go-to colours, so with this new system in place I can really expand my crafting horizons! Til tomorrow,,,( and a new card)…

Some xmas cards

I know its only september, and we still have Fathers day this Sunday but I thought I would post a few xmas cards I made recently as there have been a lot of searches  for ideas. This paper pack is a Docrafts papermania classic christmas pack, which i picked up at the beginning of the year after xmas at a great price. I have teamed the cards with some ribbon, and thats all they needed. A tip – where possible buy whole ranges as everything co -ordinates, and you don’t need to add much more in the way of embellishments! Til tomorrow…..

Z Shaped card

They say third time is a charm, so lets hope this post publishes correctly. This card used the last of my kaisercraft bubblegum hills, and kaisercraft candy lane. I thought the shape would be perfect for butterflies to fly up!Fingers crossed as I hit the post button……Til tomorrow..

First xmas cards!

I know it’s really early to be starting on xmas cards, but I was making the previous posts cards with the Cosmo Cricket odds and ends paper pad, and I thought it wouldn’t take much at all to make xmas cards out of this paper, and it didn’t !All I added were some small stamped images ( Xmas tree and father xmas) and there you are, xmas cards without using xmas paper! Til tomorrow…..

Today was the marathon cardmaking day over at the village to make xmas cards for the troops overseas. We had a great time, lots of laughs and a lovely lunch supplied by the ladies. Our grand total was 180 cards, with 50 of those donated by Sue, a lovely lady in my Paper Flourish cardmaking class. To see a larger version of the photos just click on the image. Til tomorrow…..

Birthday Book page

Last night I showed the cover of my Birthday book, tonight  here is one of the pages. The gorgeous paper is from Megs garden, and the book image is a stamp from Oxford Impressions Jane Austen set.Today I finished setting up my village class, and in a minute I will go and get all my xmas gear ready for our xmas cards for the troops marathon which we are holding tomorrow. Til tomorrow…..

Birthday Book

In a complete break from tradition, I have been making Birthday books, and thought today I would show you the front cover of my latest one. Tomorrow I will show a random page from inside it. I used Megs garden Couture collection, mainly because I couldn’t bear to cut into this beautiful paper to make cards, and it doesn’t need much embellishment , just a squeeze of liquid pearls. I bound my book with my zutter bind – it all. Not feeling so well today, so will just sit for a little while in front of the t.v. tonight and then back to bed. Til tomorrow…..

More flowers made from old books!

Once again having trouble blogging – not sure what the problem is, hopefully Nathan will get to the bottom of it soon! Tonights card uses Echo park off the record paper and sticker, nestabilities label eights, some lace, and a stampin up vintage brad. The flower is made by running the pages of an old book through my cuttlebug with a Stampin up  Blossom party die., I coloured the petals with various coloured ink pads and held them all together with a gorgeous vintage brad by stampin up. Tonight I am spending a little time tidying up my craft room, it looks like a tornado has gone through it – paper etc everywhere! Til tomorrow….
