Tonights card is made using a new stamp from Stampin Up – Dasher – and stampin up cardstock – Handsome Hunter, Cherry cobbler, and Very vanilla. I also used a Kaisercraft greeting stamp and cut a bit of holly out of a Kaisercraft Be merry paper. The background paper is Fancy Pants designs – Xmas magic. The dasher image has glitter on his antlers, but I think it would look just as good embossed , which I will try later. I have had no success finding my little acrylic block, so now I will have to source another one.It was only about 5 cm square, but perfect for small stamps and phrases.Oh well.. Til tomorrow….

xmas mantlepiece
Here is a xmas card that uses up a lot of those scraps. The patterned paper is retired Stampin Up paper, but I thought it looked so good as wallpaper, and the rest of the card is scraps and shaped brads. No card making tonight. I’ve been grocery shopping, busy at work, and so a bit of TV is on the agenda.Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Be Merry 6″ pad
Early post today,Nathan and I have been photographing cards this morning and I couldn’t wait to share this one with you. Remember my personal challenge to see how many cards I could get out of a 6″ pad? Here is the result – 25 ! Admittedly I had to set myself another personal challenge –  to complete my personal challenge, but I got there in the end. I had 4 pages of patterned paper left over, but no plain paper, so in the interests of the self imposed rules of the challenge I had to call it finished. I will use those papers on other projects though. All in all ,  a good result I thought, and good value for money. I particularly liked the fact that the pad included greetings sheets as well. Til tomorrow…
Barrow Boy
Finally got here. This is my third attempt to blog, glitches in the system somewhere, and no Nathan to call on, as he is off photographing the wrestling show. Anyway I managed without him, and tonights card is the Barrow boy. I used stampin up cardstock – not quite navy, riding hood red and close to cocoa. The stamp is Oxford impressions from the Farm Boy collection. The paper is Inique Boutique, and I used button and string from my supply, Kaisercraft pearls, and a stampin Up punch for the flower. I thoroughly enjoyed making him, but now I have him I don’t know what to do with him! Any ideas? As I mentioned, no-one home tonight, so a lovely long evening of crafting stretches in front of me! Til tomorrow….
Group of 4
Tonight I grouped 4 cards together, because they were all made using the same range of patterned paper, which was K&Co T.C. Blossomwood and the matching acetate and die cuts which come all in one pack. I have made so many cards with this pack, still have some to show you, and still have plenty more diecuts to make more with. I am into all things Birdie at the moment, must be spring! It’s market weekend this weekend, so the rest of the week will be spent sorting out the boxes, but I will be back tomorrow night with another post. Til tomorrow….
2 more Lovely as a tree
Following on from my foray into chalking, I created these 2 cards. I must thank Sandy for the inspiration. I used Basic grey Indian Summer, and 7 gypsies, pattern unknown, and Stampin up Mellow moss and chocolate chip cardstock. I stamped the images onto acetate, and chalked the background paper.A miserable Sunday after 2 nice ones, I know the rain is good, but we could have done without the wind. We lost a tree which landed on the back fence, so now we have to replace a fair bit of the fence.Oh well, til tomorrow….
Lovely as a tree
A couplr of weeks ago I showed you all a card my friend Sandy made, using a chalked background, something I had never tried, but was keen to have a go at when I saw Sandys beautiful creations. Here is my first attempt. I stamped Stampin up stamp Lovely as a tree onto acetate, and chalked a white piece of paper and placed it behind the acetate. I used satampin up cardstock – Bashful blue and 7 Gypsies patterned paper, and cut an aperture for the acetate, and 2 blingy leaves finished it off! Another quick post as I have an order to make tonight – another baby card! I have made 3 for orders so far this week – I will have to stock up on my pink and blue patterned paper and cardstock cos I have just about run out! What a great excuse to go craft shopping on Friday! Til tomorrow….
A Kind word
Wasn’t today glorious! I spent some time sitting out in the sun, just enjoying – it brought back memories of long ago ( well , quite long ago!) summer school holidays that seemed to stretch on forever, playing cricket in the street, mud pies in the back garden, and Dad hitching up the Sunwagon, all of us crammed into the car heading off north  to the Flinders Ranges to admire the wildflowers! So I thought it would be a good day to show you these cards I made with Stampin Up stamps – A Kind Word. I also used stampin up cardstock – Pretty in Pink, and Kaisercraft patterned paper Little Miss and Little Man. I used some Bazzill cardstock , kindyglitz and flowers from my craft supply. Lets hope for more days like today! Til tomorrow….
Sandys card
Hi everyone! I missed my blog last night because I had a work commitment, and didn’t get time to come near the computer, and after the efforts of the last time I tried blogging ahead ( and somehow sent the blog straight into the archives ) I wasn’t game to try again, no telling where it would have ended up this time! Anyway, I am cheating tonight and showing you a card made by a work mate. Quite by accident I discovered that Sandy is a cardmaker, and last night she brought a folder of her work for me to have a look at. She does beautiful cards, and totally different to mine. It’s funny how we all have our unique looks isn’t it? I got my son Daniel to take a photo of one with his phone, so that I could put it up here for you all to see, and she also put me onto an american stamp company that have lovely stamps for a reasonable cost . Find them at www.oxfordimpressions.com. Tomorrow I will return witha new card for you all to see, til then…..
