Spellbinders birdcage die….

I had to hunt through my stash of papers to recall this one…. it is Prima Reflections 6″ pad, combined with a newly purchased spellbinders die which has the birdcage and this cute bird, and just had to add ribbon, a stick pin and some flowers. The flourish is a Stampin Up die. A lovely day today, creating with friends, the best way to pass a Sunday afternoon. For now I am back to the craft room and more xmas cards.. sigh… til tomorrow…..

More Cock a Doodle do…

Still on my collection of Kaisercraft Cock a doodle do papers and collectables, one that doesn’t feature farm animals! I added three buttons with some string. The card stock is Stampin Up garden green. Very hot day here in Adelaide today – 35C or for my visitors that measure in Farenheight – 95  F . Awful however you say it, and it came with a truly hot north wind, so unpleasant all round! Still we managed to have  a fun time over at paper flourish where I ran my monthly lesson, and I get to do it all over again on Monday, but for now it’s back to the craft room and xmas cards for me… til tomorrow…..

cuttlebug and sizzix dies no.3

I’m calling this a cuttlebug card as I used three different sizzix dies on this one. The thanks, flower and Leaf dies were all used. The paper is Madame Boutique by Kaisercrafft. After saying  in my last post that I am finished with xmas cards, I received an order for 25, so its back to xmas for me! Til tomorrow…..

Quick and Easy….

Here’s a qick and easy o using very little product. The paper is kaisercraft cock a doodle do, and a couple of the die cuts from the collectables in the same range. This range is quite versatile, and to think I very nearly didn’t buy it! I worked on quite a few xmas cards last night, tonight I have a couple of orders to do, so thats me sorted! Til tomorrow….

Mainly Dies and cuttlebug

I found this lattice die during an on line browse, and now that I have it, I have forgotten what brand it is! Sorry, can anyone help with that? Anyway its a great die, and perfect for floral themed cards. The paper I used was frpm Kaisercrafts Blae and Ivy range, and I also used my sizzix butterfly die, and Stampin Up swirls die. Martha stewart punch and an assortment of flowers completed the look. Back to xmas cards today, quite enjoying making them so I must have just needed a break from them for a few days! Til tomorrow…..

A couple more xmas cards….

I have to apologise for the quality of the photos, Nathans camera is still in being repaired but hopefully you get the gist of these xmas cards. The paper collection is Kaisercraft December 25 and the card on the left has a little flap which opens to show another image.Having said that I’m done with xmas cards, I am going to have to do a few more, as I had a bit of a run on them at the market today. It was very good there today, with lots of stalls and people around. I was next to an antiques stall, which had lots of interesting things on it including boxes of old photos, and postcards, but a bit out of my price range for buying to put on cards, and a lovely box of broken bits of jewellery which I dug through and bought some interesting bits and bobs for using on cards. The lady also had an old straw hat with lots of silk rosebuds (55 in all) which she gave me for free! Those rosebuds will be featured on a card very soon! Til tomorrow….

Another male card

This is a stamp from Hooked on Craft that I found on my recent holiday. It was great to colour, using my aqua brush and an assortment of stampin up pads. The cardstock is also stampin up and the paper is Kaisercraft Up Up and Away. I will be doing more with this stamp, more stamping and colouring altogether as my village ladies are all keen to learn how to colour. Great fun will be had by all of us next lesson! Thats the end of the working week for me, a very busy first week back at work, and I am looking forward to a couple of days off. Market day tomorrow, always enjoyable…. Til tomorrow…..

Odds and Ends

This card was made a little while ago using Cosmo Cricket Odds and Ends patterned paper and just a couple of buttons.I had to rumage around in my drawers (Dad would have a field day with that one ladies, but you all know what I mean)  to find out the name of the paper for this post, and discovered a 6″ paper pad, barely used, and an elements sheet to match, so I will be revisiting this paper in the near future! Til tomorrow…..

Mariannes Birthday card

This is my Boss Mariannes Birthday card. I have used Stampin Up Early espresso cardstock, and Die cut an oval on the front panel. then backed both front and back with papers from My Minds Eye Lost and Found  Blush 6″ paper pad. Lots of ribbon, lace trim, hat pin, flowers and bling! The bird and birdcage were die cut with a Tim Holtz die, and I coloured them with some glossy accents which was coloured with a drop of ink. ( a great technique, thank you Kay).I had some trouble – the card really didn’t stand very well, so I made it a little stand at the back after we took this shot.Marianne loved it, but wonders at the patience required to make these creations ( maybe I’m not that patient at work!) I’ve never thought about it – I didn’t think patience came into it – what do you all think? Til tomorrow….

A Mens Card…

It has been a while since I posted a mens card, and  wanted to show this stamp. When I was on holidays, I found a little scrapbook shop in Kingston and among my purchases was this stamp set. It has this golfer as well as a fisherman and a bloke with his tools. Great stuff! I particularly like paper piecing and this stamp was perfect for that technique. I stamped the image three times onto various scrap papers and then cut out elements instead of colouring. I used a retired Stampin Up cardstock, and Kaisercraft Up Up and Away paper pad. I punched three circles and ran them through the cuttlebug machine with the swiss dots folder and used the debossed side to resemble golf balls. Paper piecing is a great alternative to colouring your stamped images, and I am going to have a closer look at my stamps to do some more of this technique. Til tomorrow….
