Working with Acetate

One of my purchases a couple of weeks ago was a sheet of this acetate called Posh lace by Teresa Collins. I couldn’t wait to use it when I got home, and out of a blur of paper ( Prima Romantique collection) bling flowers, ribbon and Maya stick pins  emerged  7 finished cards, 2 of which are here! I went back to the shop to purchase more thinking I would design a class around it but they had all sold out! A shame – gorgeous acetate. Til tomorrow….

Lets Celebrate….

Today is the end of the working week for me, and I am so looking forward to 2 days off and some time to sit and create, as I haven’t done much this week. Tonight I will finish off a couple of Baby cards i started, and then play with my new stampin up goodies. Tonights card is made with papers from Websters pages new range – Lets celebrate. Added to the card is a bit of  ribbon, and assorted flowers. I did some fussy cutting of the papers, and added a bit of kindyglitz. The cardstock is stampin up. Til tomorrow….

Thank you card

The weather here has gone from sunny and warm to wet and very chilly just overnight, and is a bit of a shock to the system! Now, unbeknownst to me my sister Kay put a lovely gift of a stampin up colour coach in my order bag ( I haven’t picked it up yet -its at Mums waiting for me) and in the meantime I have spent a fair bit of time making a wall hanging of my cardstock – see previous post, so now Kay is asking what I will do with her gift now. It is still going to be well used as it will fit into my bag, and when I’m at the craft shop I will whip it out to match up my colours with all the new new goodies that I will no doubt be buying! It will still be very well used.I wonder if I dream of a new car whether Kay will give me one?On to todays card. The cardstock is Stampin Up Baja Breeze, and the paper is Echo park for the record. I have used a couple of sizzix dies to make the embellishments, and the brad is from kaisercraft. Til tomorrow…..

Cardstock colour Chart

Welcome to my new subscriber! Today is one of the very few times that I am not posting a card. This is my pinboard colour chart which is positioned right opposite my craft table, so now I only have to look up to see what colours I have available to me. The space at the top is reserved for the stampin up new in colours, which arrived today. I was finding that I was stuck in a rut when grabbing cardstock to use and I have a few go-to colours, so with this new system in place I can really expand my crafting horizons! Til tomorrow,,,( and a new card)…

Victoria gardens 8

This is the eighth card I have made using echo park Victoria gardens paper, and only one more in the queue. what I like about this paper is that all the cards look different, and are all for different celebrations. Tonight I have teamed the papers with my Cricut heritage cartridge to cut the cameo, and added some lace and a flower. Tonight I will be found in the card room making a couple of orders! Til tomorrow…..

Victoria Gardens Wedding card

We are back to the cards i made using Echo Park Victoria Gardens, after being interupted  with fathers Day. On this on I added a posy made from flowers, tulle , and organza ribbon and sprinkled pearls liberally! Quick post tonight as its shopping night. Til tomorrow….

Spring Birthday

Spring is here, and we have been enjoying glorious weather, so today I thought I would post a spring Birthday card. The patterned paper is websters pages farmers Market, and I have used stampin Up cardstock – Not quite Navy, and daffodil Delight trim. I also used some liquid pearls and a bit of ribbon. I’m off now to dig that paper out again and make some more spring inspired cards! Til tomorrow….

Happy Fathers Day

Here is a Fathers day card which would also suit any Gardeneners in the family. I used Websters pages Farmers market paper ( lovely collection, and I haven’t begun to do it justice yet) and Stampin Up Pumpkin Pie cardstock. last night while I had the house to myself I pulled out all my cardstock scraps and made my colour chart pinboard which Nathan photoed this morning and as soon as he loads the photos onto the computer I will post it. I’m really glad I did it, and I can see it’s going to be invaluable already. Til tomorrow….

Oxford Impressions Nature stamp

This is a different card for fathers day, but I love this stamp set from Oxford Impressions. I stamped it in stampin up chocolate chip, and mounted it on some patterned paper, the brand escapes me at the moment, and the cardstock is Stampin Up baja breeze. I have a couple of projects tonight, one is to finish off the 7 cards I made last night using my new supplies, and I am so pleased with how they came out I’m hoping Nathan can photo them tomorrow so that I can post them! The other project I am going to start tonight is a colour chart. I found an unused pinboard hanging around, and I am going to cut squares out of all my scraps of cardstock and pin them to the board and hang it in front of my craft table. I will then have at a glance all my available colours of cardstock, and I will even be able to move them around to see if the colours match, and maybe even come up with some outstading combinations! This could be a project that takes a little while, but as soon as I have completed it, I will post a photo! Til tomorrow…..
