Today has been a very wet day here, so I have been continuing on with my financial year resolution which is to use up all those bits and pieces leftover from older collections. its a very interesting exercise . I didnt realise how many more cards I would get out of those so called leftovers, so could still be trying to finish this resolution next year! Todays card is the second card we made in my village lesson last week. The flocked paper is by teresa collins, cardstock is Stampin Up cameo coral and basic grey, the embossing folder is craft concepts In stitches, Bird stamp is an absolute favourite from stampin Up Friends 24-7, the label stamp is from stampin up Just believe set and I also used nestabilities labels eight dies.I’m off to do a bit more creating before tea, til tomorrow….
Twisted Easel card
On this card I tried to come up with something a little different, and so it became a twisted easel card. Its just a 6″ square card with the front folded diagonally onto itself. A stopper is placed diagonally across the base, and then the fun part of decorating. I used Kaisercraft pink gelato papers, and matching fussy cut flowers, and a couple of flowers cut with a sizzix die to decorate. Til tomorrow…
More English Rose
Here are the other two cards i made while I had the Kaisercraft English Rose paper out. I used Stampin Up cardstock ( pink Piroutte) for the bases, and my Stampin Up bird punch, Martha Stewart lace doily punch, prima flowers, hand rolled flowers, ribbon and bling. Settling back into work, what a rude shock to the system! Many books in the stockroom still in boxes, but I have been given some help, so we should be caught up by next week! Til tomorrow….
Revisiting English Rose
Quite often I play with a range of papers til I’m all out of ideas, but I still have some paper left, so it gets filed away, til its discovered again and I have a whole lot of new ideas for it. That happened with this paper – Kaisercraft English Rose. I had made so many Mothers day cards with this paper, but tonight I am shiowing something a bit different. I also usedthe matching chipboard, and oxford impressions stamp from the Nature set, elements Collection printed acetate, and I hand rolled some flowers.Til tomorrow…..Â
Multifold card with graphic 45
Todays card is a multi fold ( not sure of its official name!) that I have been practising with as in a couple of weeks I’m teaching my muture ladies this fold in a class. I used Once apon a sprigtime papers by Graphic 45, some lace and stampin up sizzix leaf die. Today is my last day of holidays, and tomorrow I am back to work. Those 2 weeks flew by, and I want to start them again! Til tomorrow..
Football cards
One reason I was so pleased to purchase Docrafts Pappermania Nostalgia stamp set was because there was an image of a footballer, something I have been searching for for ages. I couldn’t wait to get home and make these two cards of our Adelaide football teams. I used stampin Up cardstock in whisper white, basic black, taken with teal ( retired), real red, yoyo yellow ( retired) and night of navy. I will be in trouble when my stock of those 2 retired colours run out! must run, we have a 21st tonight. til tomorrow….
Retiement Village class card
This is one of three cards we made the other night in my retirement village class. The backgroungd paper was a flocked design by teresa Collins, and the cardstock was bazzil and Stampin up – Cameo coral – retired, and I have nearly exhausted my supply of that particular colour. We used a martha stewart punch, some ribbon, and for the flower we used Stampin Up sizzix die – Blossom Party. The flower was sponged with matching ink, and misted with water so that we could mould the shape a little bit. I was busy today over at Paper flourish planning my August lesson, but I’m full of creative ideas, so I’m planning to spend some time in my craft room tonight! Til tomorrow….
My flower made from a book card
The other day I showed you a flower I had die cut from an old book, and now here is what i did with it. I used Stampin up cardstock – early espresso, and various shades of bazzil for the layering, the patterned paper is Prima reflections paper, and i also used my new Nellies multi framed die ( a favourite at the moment) The swirl was cut using my cricut and the serenade cartridge, and I used a vintage brad from stampin up -( isn’t it gorgeous), I’ll have to get another box of these. A bit of lace along the bottom to finish.Thats its for today, til tomorrow…..
The last prima madeline card – Really!
I know I posted a card titled the last prima madeline card, but I fibbed! when browsing through old files I found this one, and thought I would show it, as it really shows what you can do with a pair of scissors! I just fussy cut around various flowers on one of the Prima madeline papers, and mounted them on the script paper from the same 6″ pad.I have had a busy couple of days, I became the student when I attended a class at paper flourish yesterday. I thought it would be interesting to see what it was like on the other side of the table, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Last night I taught a class over at the retirement village and a good time was had by all! those ladies are remarkable. Today I have been visiting a friend in hospital who broke her leg in 2 places while vaccuuming ( her foot rolled over the hose) I knew housework was not good for you, and she proved it! She’ll be out of action for a minimum of 12 weeks, I’m thinking I might get her to do some stamping and cutting, but I might wait a week or two before suggesting it! Til tomorrow…
Teen boys card
I picked up a great stamp set the other day – Nostalgia Pastimes by docrafts papermania. It has lots of great images for mens cards and this is one of them. I used Stampin up cardstock for the base ( Early Espresso) and some Coredinations put through the cuttlebug with Marg’s melodies ( cuttlebug brand) embossing folder.I sanded that back a bit, and added a couple of brads, and done!Sorted out my Market boxes today, not much left in them, so I won’t go to the market next month, and concentrate on building up my stock. Til tomorrow….
