My favourite cardmaking technique is paper piecing. I love the idea of creating little scenes and works of art on the front of a card, so I had great fun making this card. I used Stampin up cardstock – Bashful Blue – and fussy cut the trees out of Kaisercraft ‘Be Merry paper. I stamped the background with a retired Stampin Up stamp, EK success reindeer punch, and finally had a good play with my new Cricut and some stampin up cardstock to make santa! Tonight I will make a couple of quick cards for my boxes, and then a little t.v. before an early night as I have to be up at 4.30 am for work at 6 tomorrow. Til tomorrow….
Happy 60th Birthday
I can’t tell you a lot about tonights card because I have lost my little scrap of paper that tells me everything I used on it. I do know that the cardstock is Stampin Up Pink Pirouette and I used Kaiercraft pearls. The small butterflies are punched with a Martha Stewart punch, and the big butterfly is cut and embossed with a spellbinder.Tonight I’m making a farewell card for a customer at work who is moving to Burra, and I have an order for a teenage birthday card as well, so thats tonights crafting sorted! Til tomorrow….
Sorry!
Just a fun card tonight! The cardstock is Wild Wasabi from Stampin up, and the paper is from October Afternoon – Thrift Shop. I cut the letters using my new Cricut (I haven’t had nearly enough time playing with it yet ) and the cute dog was a freebie off the front of a craft magazine. Its called Hot Diggedy dog, and the whole set of chipboard pieces were so cute that I tried to source them but they are not available anywhere – they were just designed for the giveaway – a shame -I’m sure they would be a winner.Anyway just a lighthearted post tonight, I have spent the afternoon doing orders, and it’s back to work tomorrow.Til then….
Because I care
Tonight in celebration of the lovely day I had (as Kays guest) at the Stampin Up Regional in Adelaide I thought I would post a card that uses all Stampin Up products ( except for the Martha Stwart doily punch ). I have used the Because I care stamp set, bashful blue and pacific point cardstock, and Blueberry Crisp designer paper. We had a wonderful day full of crafting, although Kay and I had “easily distracted”  written on our report card, and both have lots of homework as we only completed 1 of the 4 make and takes!I will complete the second one tonight, and then sit in front of the t.v. to let everything I learned today sink in. Til tomorrow….
Happy 50th Birthday
Tonights card is another 50th birthday card I made for a girlfriend, lots of 50th birthdays lately.I used Stampin Up cardstock and prima patterned paper. Also used a Martha Stewart punch ,kaisercraft rhinestones and flowers from paper flourish . I spent the morning over at paper flourish and had great fun looking at all the new stock. The new websters pages are beautiful and I also purchased a Tim Holtz 12 x 12″ paper pad.Tomorrow I am off to the Stampin Up convention as Kays guest, and I am so excited! Will give a full report tomorrow night! Til tomorrow….
In the Deep
Tonights card came about by accident. I was mucking around with some ink and cotton balls, with a totally different card in mind, but when I saw the result of my dabbings I thought That looks like the sea and it needs a ship on it so thats what happened! The Cardstock is Stampin up choc chip and night of navy, and the stamps are Oxford Impressions In the deep. I added a bit of white gel pen for the tops of the waves. It never fails to amuse me that so often I see a card in my head, but when I sit down to make it the result is so often something completely different! My back is so much better today, so tomorrow will see me over at Paper flourish setting my november class, and doing some shopping too! Til tomorrow…
Bird on a Branch
Tonight I thought I would show you my first attempt at brayering. This is a technique I am still practising, and will be for some time! The cardstock is Stampin Up Pumpkin Pie, Inks are Stampin up Cameo Coral and Yoyo yellow, Stamp is Stampin up Bird on a branch, and the greeting is a new one from Kaisercraft from the After 5 range. I do love the brayering technique,I think though that I need to attend a class or two!Back to xmas cards tonight, the back is improving, and I can finally sit down. Til tomorrow….
21st Card
Tonights card is a 21st card, using Stampin Up cardstock – Baja Breeze and Kaisercraft Le Chateau 6″ paper pad and `key . I used an Oxford Impressions bird stamp from the Nature stamp set and the ribbon is from my craft supply. My back is a little better today, and I managed to sit for a short while and make up some xmas cards, so I’m feeling much happier! Til tomorrow….
New Home
Tonights card uses Stampin Up cardstock (early espresso- this is fast becoming a favourite colour), and the background paper is Kaisercraft Undercover from the Secret Bird society patterned paper range. The greeting is from Inique Boutiique patterned papers, and the key and house images are from K&Co Lifes Journey stamp collage embossed paper. The gorgeous brad is from stampin up. There is a little glimmer mist (old mist) sprayed on the card. I am suffering from a bad back just now, so not much card making happening this week so far which is frustrating as I still haven’t made my own xmas cards yet!Oh well, til tomorrow….
Paris
Hello! We’re back! Had a lovely time down at Robe, and the weather was beautiful, but I must say I missed doing my posts. Today I want to show you my first ever foray into ripping paper. I find it almost impossible to rip paper, I think its because when we were young we were in all kinds of trouble if we ripped the pages in our books. I used Naturals Ivory cardstock, and designer paper – Newsprint – both from Stampin Up. The postmark and lady stamp was Hot off the press, Vintage ladies, and the Eiffel tower was from Stampin Ups Artistic etchings stamp set.Inks were Stampin up sahara sand and Tim Holtz antique linen, walnut stain and worn lipstick. A prima flower and Old lace glimmer mist finished it off. Must go and unpack, Til tomorrow….
