Kaisercraft sandy Toes number 4

IMG_5739 (Medium)Kaisercraft sandy Toes paper and matching collectables. The trim ( I love!) is Prima, and I used a kaisercraft sparklet and stampin up cardstock and bitty banner sentiment. Perfect male card right there!I haven’t been in the craft room today, I went over to Paper flourish this morning to drop off my March classes, and ended up visiting all morning! I was looking for some papers to get a head start on April lessons, but while there a new shipment of Kaisercraft Dies came in. I love their dies as they are so easy to use – the dies cuts just fall out – no struggling, so I bought a couple more to add to my growing collection. I don’t think I will buy any other brand now, Kaisercraft seem to be coming out with new ones every month so there is always a good choice.Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Sandy Toes number 3

IMG_5738 (Medium)Kaisercraft Sandy Toes..and a lot of the matching collectables on this one. I inked around all my edges for definition, and added a few sequins.First day of my holidays, and I was going to pick up the new release of Kaisercraft from paper Flourish, but it hasn’t come in yet, so I spent the morning in the craft room finishing off my March classes, and cleaning up my craft table – I can see it again! I have promised myself that I won’t let it get like that again . I have a new 6 drawer cabinet which I have put in the crafting annex to hold all my christmas dies, embossing folders, papers etc, so that may be a job for tomorrow.Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Sandy Toes number 2

IMG_5737 (Medium)Today we start a new collection – Kaisercraft Sandy toes.Great paper collection for this time of year although we have been lucky here lately – not too hot at all, just lovely sunny days. For this one I did some basic layering, and fussy cut the palm trees from a panel to place at the bottom of the card, stamped a sentiment with a stampin up stamp, and added a few sequins ( my new like) scattered across the card. Now that I have a couple of weeks off I will be visiting spotlight to get a few more colours.Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 time to flourish 8 and 9,october.

IMG_5735 (Medium)IMG_5736 (Medium)At first glance I  didn’t think I would use any of the October papers in the 12 x 12 pad of Graphic 45 Time to Flourish collection, because it was quite halloween themed which we really don’t get into here in australia, but on closer inspection I spied these gorgeous images of scottish thistles. That is my heritage, and I thought if I could make a couple of male orientated cards, that would be my Dad and my uncles cards sorted for this year. So, no ribbon, lace bling or anything too fancy, just a lot of matting, and a little fussy cutting, and strategic placement of said mats, but I really like how they both turned out,and no paper wasted!Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Rustic harmony (number 7.)

IMG_4060 (Medium)While I was making the stepper cards I made one with Kaisercraft rustic harmony paper, and then made a box to pop it into as it was quite bulky by the time I finished it.Lots of lovely lace trim on the card on the left, and a little more on the box lid on the right. I also used – martha stewart lace doily punch and leaf punch, spellbinders rolled roses and papillion butterflies dies, and Kaisercraft mint pearls.A lovely lazy day today, with a little crafting, and lot of relaxing! til tomorrow….

Card in a box cards

IMG_4067 (Medium)IMG_4070 (Medium)So, I started to go through my papers to have a bit of a cull, and straight away got distracted. This is a kaisercraft paper, a couple of years old ( and I can’t remember the name), and when I bought it I hadn’t learnt how to make these card in a box cards. when I saw the paper again this is the first thing I did with it.I have been through to the card room to try and find the rest of the paper so that I can tell you the name, but I have lost it again, I don’t think I finished it with these cards so I am sure it will turn up again , maybe in another couple of years! Meantime, if anyone knows the name of this collection can they let me know cos it’s going to drive me crazy!Today I have been making baby cards – I had to pull out all the baby card papers to make a special card for a friend, so while it was out I made a few more. Now I have moved onto engagement/wedding cards using kaisercrafts new collection xo ( funny name!!)Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Time to flourish June number 7… the last….

IMG_4079 (Medium)Here is the last card i made with Graphic 45 time to flourish June papers. I have used every scrap of these few sheets, which doesn’t happen very often!. this card was another experiment with measurements for the stepper cards, an awkward size for envelopes, this one, so I had to get my envelope maker out to make one for this.a little fussy cutting, ribbon and lace, and it did become the inspiration for one of my classes in February, so really I haven’t seen the last of this gorgeous paper!Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 time to flourish number 6

IMG_4078 (Medium)This one is a side stepper card, ( graphic 45 time to flourish June papers) again, I just sat down with my cardstock and ruler and fiddled with measurements until I made something that would fit into a normal c6 envelope. Luckily for me I scribbled down the measurements and made templates of all these cards so that I could do them again, because I really like this one in particular – it’s perfect for showing off this beautiful paper. My holidays start at the end of next week, and I will get Nathan organised with the video camera and we will do a bit of a clip on how I made this one and the previous card posted so that you can all try ! As for the rest…. fussy cut bits , and layers on each step( which you can’t really see in the photo) and a gorgeous ribbon bow to finish. Two days of 6 am starts over with, a day off tomorrow, one more day of work and three days off after that – got to love long weekends!! Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Time to flourish 5…. June.

Graphic 45 time to flourish June, 3 and 4

IMG_4075 (Medium)IMG_4076 (Medium)two cards today, Graphic 45 Time to flourish, the June papers. The top card is lots and lots of fussy cutting with some lace and a ribbon bow, while the bottom card is a stepper card – I have been experimenting with measurements for these types of cards, so this one is a 13 x 13 cm stepper.Martha stewart lace doily border punch, lace and lots more fussy cutting here. This afternoon I have spent a couple of relaxing hours in the craft room stamping with some new stamp sets, but as usual the weekend has gone far too quickly! til tomorrow….
