This week something different for me..The new paper collection from Uniquely Creative is called Steampunk Safari, and although I like the look of steampunk my cardmaking style is really too neat for it but I gave it a go! The clue I think is lots of cogs! The numbers die from Uniquely Creative is also brilliant and I will be using it lots. Next week I will have more cards made from this range to show you but they will be back to my comfort zone! In the meantime, stay safe …til next time…

Mens Cards..
There comes a time in every cardmakers calender when they have to do mens cards and mine was this week when it was time to book my June craft fair spot. Mens cards are always last on the list! This year I had some new dies to use so made it a lot easier, and I had my very old stamps which are dug out every year, stamped and coloured and teamed up with newer purchases to refresh the look. I kept the general layout very plain cos blokes really don’t like fussy! Next Saturday I have our first crafty girls gathering of the year so I have been very busy organising that and I am so looking forward to catching up with all the girls. Til next time….
Yesterdays Retirement Village lesson…
Todays cards are the cards my ladies made over at the retirement village.Everything used ( except the ribbons on the top two cards) are Stampin Up supplies, and I admit I cheated on these ones taking inspiration from Pinterest! The colours I used on the top card was totally decided by the ribbon – I had it in my stash and was just waiting for a reason to use it- I love it! I always try to do three completely different cards for the ladies, and always include one male card, mainly because they avoid making them,so try to show them different ways of making and enjoying the process! this weekend my crafting mojo has finally reappeared, after going AWOL for a couple of weeks and I have been spending every spare minute in the craft room, so many ideas, so little time! Lots of wedding cards , they are a best seller over at the florists , luckilyn i love making wedding cards almost as much as baby cards! til tomorrow…..
Golfing Tom.
A male card today, The stamp is called Golfing Tom and it is from C.C.Designs. I stamped onto copic blending card and coloured with my copic markers, then mounted on two shades of card from Stampin up. this one was a nice quick card, and the stamp is big enough to stamp onto patterned paper and fussy cut if you don’t want to colour..something I will try next time I have it out on the craft table! For now though, it’s off to work I go..til tomorrow…
Graphic 45 By the Sea, number 1
Sorry I was missing last night – we had no power… Nathan said it went off at 1pm, and it didn’t come back on until close to 8 o’clock in the evening, so we sat in the dark, and were quite cold until then! It was a very late dinner last night!Todays card is Graphic 45 By the sea patterned paper, and a fussy cut quite a few images . I mounted the lighthouse on some stampin up real red cardstock, and used a little of the trim from the same paper down the right hand side. This paper is out on my craft desk at the moment, as I was planning to make some more cards with it, but I have a few orders to complete, so will have to pack it up again! til tomorrow…..
Another couple of male cards
Echo Park/Graphic 45 Transatlantique
This paper collection is unique because it is a collaboration between two paper houses – echo park and graphic 45.I have made quite a few cards from this paper, but this is the only one that made it to be photographed – the others all sold before the camera came out!I have layered a couple of pieces, wrapped one layer in twine, and added craftworks candii to the corners. The sentiment stamp is stampin up. I must see what i have left of this paper and make some more! til tomorrow…..
Kazzazz train stamp
keeping with the male themed stamped cards, tonights cards use a stamp I purchased from Kazzazz.I used stampin up cardstock – cherry cobbler, crumbcake and not quite navy, and the little bit of patterned paper is Prima Craftsman. The card on the right makes use of the negative cardstock left over after I had die cut the labels on the left card. ( dies are from stampin up – sizzix decorative labels.) I just had to add a little bakers twine and prima trim to finish these ones! til tomorrow….
