This week I have been creating cards with the new Uniquely Creative paper collection which is called Once Upon a Christmas. I have done a different fold for these ones, a sort of accordian fold with step down features. I have included an image at the bottom of the inside of one of the cards to give you a better idea. WordPress has changed the way I can do my blog, please let me know if there are any issues your end, I am having a few this end and I am going to have to pay Nathan in double quantities of chocolate to get him to show me all the ins and outs!Til next time, stay safe…
I have started Christmas cards! I have worked out a way to work my way through my stack of papers without losing interest! I just make a few cards from a collection and move on, so this week it is a kaisercraft collection from last year called Peppermint Kisses. I had the 6″ pad, collectables and a sheet of imagery (12 x 12) which I fussy cut. I didn’t add very much, just a ribbon, bit of lace and some glittery die cuts. It’s been very wet and windy here this week, perfect weather for staying inside next to the heater! i hope all is well in your world, til next time, stay safe…
An extra post this week to show you a few cards I was working on yesterday. They brightened up my day! Tim Holtz dog stamps, watercoloured with distress inks.Til next time, stay safe..
Todays cards use an assortment of embossing folders, dies and a little bit of older Stampin Up christmas paper. When Stampin Up brought out this range of paper a couple of years ago I loved it so much a bought a bit more than I needed, so I have a nice supply of these cute deers, and the little village houses. I have used glitter paper, and they all came together so easily. This is my favourite kind of card making..little scenes…and also shows how easy it is to combine Christmas stash with ordinary embossing folders and dies. I have finished with Christmas card making now, and this week have been playing with some gorgeous Mintay papers for an upcoming project. I am hoping this week to get a bit more crafting done, I have got so many papers still not cut into and i have to start thinking about filling my boxes for the craft fair next year!! Til next time….
This week I have been making some Christmas cards with an Australian theme using Kaisercraft Under the Gum Leaves collection. I have enjoyed using this pretty paper with lots of cute Australian animals , nice sentiments and pretty background papers. Because I made these when I was at our monthly crafting get together I was forced to keep them very simple ..no bling or ribbon to be found in my bag but truly I like them as is so that is how they will stay. Today is a free day so i will be found in the craft room… til next time….
