The final male card in this group is a die cut one. I used Paper Rose Tool set die and Pegboard die and Kaisercraft Occasions die for the sentiment. The patterned paper is a scrap of woodgrain paper. I die cut the tools and sentiment from some silver cardstock, and distressed and inked the edges of the woodgrain paper. The next series will be Graphic 45 Portrait of a lady, because I know some of you are waiting to see what I have done with that collection!Til tomorrow….

die cutting fun!
Hi! So sorry I have been missing for a few days, but this week has been amazingly busy at work, with lots of new products coming in and it was all hands on deck to get them all out on the shelves. I don’t think there was one day when I didn’t come home without purchasing something! Today I have posted 3 cards to make up for it, and these cards are very similar to the cards I am teaching next week. I have used what looks like a lot of dies, but really the list is quite short! here goes… Memory box lorelai leaf, Paper Rose Vases and stems,Flower set one and Leaf scrolls. The embossing folders on two of the cards are Kaisercraft decorative frames embossing folders ( you may recognise these from the last post…I do like them!) The flowers on the bottom card are martha stewart punches. Some of you may also have noticed that I embossed the top part of the vase on the top card with one of the embossing folders. These cards have lots of potential as a favourite design because they can been done in lots of different colourways and I think they have made it onto the short list for my cruise cards. Today is Roast day so thats in the oven, and I am really looking forward to sitting in the craft room, new stuff will have to wait though as I am going to start working on my July class cards …all in all a great day ! til tomorrow….
A die cut card..
I have playing around with my dies and mixing them up a bit – normally I like to keep the different companies separated…but I am going to bite the bullet and experiment! The simplest way for me to start now that I can finally use my die cutting machine is with different dies, so on this card have mixed Paper Rose flower and flourish dies with a memory keepers die and a kaisercraft ( butterfly) die. Pearls for a bit of bling and a stampin up sentiment. This one is going to be adapted to a class in the near future. Roast is in the oven, leek and potato soup on the oven, and now it’s craft time! til tomorrow….
More die cuts on cards…
Todays cards are put aside for an order, I like they way they came out and will more than likely design a class around these dies. The dies are by Paper Rose, and they are: leaf scrolls, vases and stems, flower set one,and the embossing folder is a kaisercraft one. I also like this embossing folder – it fits my size card ( 15 x 21 cm folded) perfectly. I also embossed the vases. A terrific way to use up scraps of cardstock.Well, today roast is in the oven ( bit of a poor choice really as its so humid here today) washing is sorted, everyone is happy so i am off to the craft room! Brand new cuttlebug/bigshot card
I came up with this card at short notice for a lesson.I used pearlescent cardstock ( for the card base) and pearlescent paper in the same shade of pink for all the embossing and die cutting. punches used – martha stewart lacy border, leaf, and branch , and the flower die is a new release from kaisercraft. I added flat backed pearls in the centre of the flowers. This card was actually so simple, but looks really effective in real life with the shimmery card and paper. A gorgeous day here in adelaide, so we are all off to a bbq lunch in the park..must dig out my sunscreen and hat, at 29degrees celsius our winter skin may get a little burnt! til tomorrow….
Cuttlebug card with some stamping…
Todays card is a really good basic design that leaves lots of room for improvising. I have layered two shades of purple cardstock, embossing the layers with two different embossing folders and stamped flowers from stampin up fabulous florets stamp set onto more cardstock – no colouring. The leaves are stamped onto green cardstock ( they are stamped using stampin up secret garden stamp) and then all the stamping is fussy cut. if you don’t want to use stamps it would look just as effective with flowers fussy cut from patterned paper or shop bought flowers instead. I used a big green flat backed pearl in the middle of my flower. The butterfly is punched with a martha stewart punch. Til tomorrow…..
Very quick layered card
Todays card is a very quick and simple layered card, and one which I did for a retirement village lesson. All the papers and cardstock used here are from stampin up but any paper collection would work with this design. So we have the base card and then 4 layers alternating pattern and plain.I die cut a beautiful butterfly and added a strip of rhinestones down its body to finish.I hope you have all had a lovely crafty weekend..til tomorrow…..
Wedding Cuttlebug card
This is a card that I made for a friends wedding.I used two 6′ white cards, cut the fronts on the diagonal and stuck the backs together. I embossed the front triangles with a Hearts embossing folder, and punched the edges with Marhta stewarts lace doily punch. I added some prima flowers, a flourish die cut and some white and silver ribbon. Then the card that i slipped into the pocket created by the shaped front – a seperate piece of white cardstock stampoed and silver embossed with a stampin up stamp, two die cut heart run through the cuttlebug in two different folders, and a little tag and flower and ribbon.I have shown a close up of the insert detail. The computer has decided to type in blue all underlined today, hopefully when I publish this it all looks normal!Til tomorrow..
Cuttlebug card – white on white baby
No colour co-ordinating dilemmas on this card! i did go through a white on white phase a little while ago, and this was one of the cards i created. The embossing folders i used were cuttlebug swiss dots, and stampin up square lattice. I cut the banners at various lengths, and punched out four circles with a 1″ circle punch, and inked around the edges of them with pale pink ink. i used a piece of wool fibre across the top, some pink ribbon bows, and a prima lace rosette down in the corner. This one was so simple, but I love the effect of white on white for this card.I had a great time with my ladies this morning, and am looking forward to a weekend of crafting – the weather here is cold and wet, so a lovely weekend for crafting.. Cuttlebug – Wedding Card
For the next few days I will show you some wedding and Engagement cards I have been working on for my craft fair stall. This one makes the most of my cuttlebug, and I used 3 different embossing folders – Tied together ( couture creations) for the main background, and swiss dots ( Cuttlebug) and Vintage wallpaper ( stampin up) on the Hearts which were punched out with a Stampin Up punch. Spellbinders Floral Oval for the wording, and a ribbon bow, flowers and pearls to finish. The cardstock is Stampin Up Pool party, and pink pirouette. The nice thing about this design is you can change the colours to match the wedding theme! Til tomorrow….
