Cuttlebug card with punches

IMG_8828 (Medium)This is another village lesson card – the ladies gave me the embossing folder which they had purchased and asked for some ideas on how to use it.I embossed a piece of cream cardstock and then inked the raised areas with a green ink pad and sponge. The flowers were punched using a cosmos martha stewart punch and I added some bling and a ribbon bow, and mounted everything onto stampin up daffodil Delight cardstock. The butterfly was punched with a stampin up punch.I have been busy in the card room making some more class lessons, and preparing for my class later in the week, but when I go back in there later I will be creating with some new papers – can’t wait!

Cuttlebug card

IMG_8829 (Medium)This afternoon I taught a class over at the retirement village which reminded me I didn’t show you all the cards I taught last month over there, so here’s the first one – very simple – cardstock is all stampin up – Pool Party, blushing bride( which is the card base) and whisper white. The embossing folder is Stampin up fancy Fan folder, and the border punch used is martha Stewart lace doily punch. I found the middle of the embossed piece of cardstock , cut down 4 cms, and folded each cut back to create the V necked sweater. The buttons are craftworks craft candii, and liquid pearls for the necklace. Have a look at your embossing folders – I’ll bet one of them would work for this design!A lovely evening last night spent in the craft room, and I am heading in there again this evening as all my lot are busy putting on a wrestling show…..peace…..Til tomorrow….

Cuttlebug card – Mothers day

IMG_8824 (Medium)Today a card using my favourite pastel colours – white, pale pink and pale lilac. The spellbinders dies used are Timeless rectangle, and I added some prima flowers, satin ribbon and lilac liquid pearls. The sentiment which i stamped in chocolate brown is from a stampin up set – wonderful mother.Next time I do this one – and there will be a next time – I am going to emboss the background mat.I have had a hugely productive day in the craft room today – making boys birthday cards. I picked up 5 sheets of Bo Bunny  Surprise paper, and have so far made 10 cards with it – the ideas just keep flowing – got to love days like today! Til tomorrow….

Spellbinders labels seventeen number 3

IMG_4281 (Medium)IMG_4282 (Medium)There are two views of todays card, because the is a bit of work on the inside as well as the outside! I covered the front of the card ( all papers used are Kaisercraft Miss Nelly) and used the spellbinders label seventeen to die cut an aperture. The piece that was cut out was stuck inside on top of some more patterned paper, and I added a couple of butterflies die cut from Cheery Lyn exotic butterfly small #2. just added some bright ribbon and bling to finish. This is a simple card to make but looks really effective, and I must remember to make more like this! Til tomorrow….

Purely Cuttlebug…

Todays card is made purely by utilising my cuttlebug and a couple of dies. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug Goochie script, and the 2 dies used are sizzix flowers – 3d ( for the flowers) and Cheery Lyn tropical flourish. I used stampin up cardstock, and did a bit of layering with Old olive,Pumpkin Pie and very vanilla, and just added a ribbon bow to finish. This is really a simple card, and would look good in a number of different colour combinations!I am all crafted out today, so i am going to have a bit of a break and watch some T.V. tonight! Til tomorrow….
