Todays card is made purely by utilising my cuttlebug and a couple of dies. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug Goochie script, and the 2 dies used are sizzix flowers – 3d ( for the flowers) and Cheery Lyn tropical flourish. I used stampin up cardstock, and did a bit of layering with Old olive,Pumpkin Pie and very vanilla, and just added a ribbon bow to finish. This is really a simple card, and would look good in a number of different colour combinations!I am all crafted out today, so i am going to have a bit of a break and watch some T.V. tonight! Anna griffin Camilla 5
We appear to be all over the place with my postings but I have a few cards that have missed being posted, and I am trying to tidy up my folders. so, this one is a card made from Anna griffin paper and matching embellishments( Number 5 apparently)I used a spellbinders dress form die as well, and decorated it ( the most fun) with ribbon, lace, a flower and bling. The cardstock is Stampin Up Pink Pirouette.I have a true mess on my craft table today – I am playimg with a new kaisercraft collection, but will have to pack it up for now to plan out a lesson for my ladies at the retirement village this Friday – never have I left a lesson plan this late, but I have been busy with a few commissions which are now completed. Crate paper Little Boy Blue 8
This is the last in my Crate Paper little Boy Blue series. Tomorrow we will move on – possibly more christmas! Buttons and bakers twine were added.Handily enough the paper was printed with the word baby which I cut into a banner. The tags were also printed on the paper, so it was just a matter of cutting them out and layering onto each other. It has been a day of finishing off projects in the craft room, and tomorrow I look forward to a full day with no interruptions in there working on some new designs. Til tomorrow…
Christmas All is Bright 9 and 10
Here are the last two cards in my My Minds Eye All is Bright series… tomorrow onto something else! The card on the left makes good use of the sticker sheet that matches this paper, and I have added a little seam binding. the cardstock is Stampin Up Cherry cobbler. The card on the right is purely paper, with some snowflakes die cut with Spellbinders 2012 snowflake pendant dies. The cardstock for this one is Stampin Up baja breeze. Nathan and I had a marathon photo session today, so tonight I will be sorting out all the photos, and will have new cards to put up. Til tomorrow….
Vintage style
A short break from all things christmas to have a look at some new papers I purchased a couple of weeks ago – they are Anna Griffin from the Camilla collection, and I only bought a few sheets, not the whole range, but I did also purchase the matching die cut embellishments. These papers were gorgeous to work with – I love the soft colours, and for this card I turned on the vintage flavour by adding lots of ribbon, lace and bling. I used my spellbinders Dress form die and painted the die cut with Viva Metallic silver paint, and had great fun dressing it! In the craft room today I am making more christmas cards, I have decided to do one day xmas and one day non xmas – that keeps the ideas fresh! Til tomorrow…

Christmas cards 2012 – simple…
Very little christmas purchases used on this one! The cuttlebug folder is Winter Tress, and I used my Tim Holtz embossing diffuser to leave an oval at the bottom plain so that I could stamp straight onto the cardstock. The stamp used came from Stampin Up Welcome Christmas, then all I had to do was add some thin gold ribbon, and die cut a flower from my Die – namics Upsey daisies die. I used stampin Up Chery Cobbler and handsome Hunter cardstock to try to make it look like a Poinsetta. had a lovely morning with my Ladies this morning, and spent a little time this afternoon in the craft room, mainly looking for things – I have to clean that room out!Til tomorrow…
group of 3 fathers day cards
With fathers day just around the corner now I thought I would show this group of three fathers Day cards that I made using Simple Stories Awesome papers, and my Docrafts papermania Dad stamp. The general theme is the same, just swapped around the colours, and used Stampin Up cardstock for the base card. On all the cards i stamped the Dad stamp a few times and fussy cut the letters out to mix and match .Some flags were fussy cut from the papers, and twine and brads were also used. Today I finished some christmas card ideas I had floating around, and now I am ready to head to the craft room to create some bright sunny cards in the hope that it encourages the real thing to show itself – It has been an amazingly wet ,cold and dreary winter, and I am ready to see a little sunshine! Shades of…pink
I like the colour combination on this card.I used a white cardstock base, and matted 3 different shades of pink bazzil onto some Stampin Up Crumbcake ( thats kraft ) cardstock, then stamped a floral image 3 times across the bazzil in white ink. I added some lace, twine, stampin up crumbcake seam binding and a button I found in my button tin to finish this one. Just something different for me, but I really like it, and will try this one again in different colours. Thats it for today, til tomorrow….
Love….
I chose this card to show tonight, because I think it shows a nice layout ( sketch) idea that you could adapt for any card. I have started with a base card of stampin Up early espresso cardstock, and the papers I have used are kaisercraft The Lake House ( this is card number 12 for those of you counting!)The first layer was cut only a little smaller than the base card, and I used a circle punch to chomp out the corners. The next layer was quite a bit smaller, and again I chomped the corners.I used a pre printed panel from one of the 12 x 12 sheets in the collection, and stuck a collectable across it, but you could achieve the same look by using your dies and cuttlebug. All that remained was to die cut some flowers ( I used Stampin Up blossom Party and sizzix tim holtz tattered flower garland)Â add a grey satin bow, and a bit of perfect pearls.I am still thawing out from my day at the market, and as it was a very early start ,it will be early to bed for me tonight!
