October Afternoon farm Girl number 10 and 11

IMG_1175 (Medium)New Home cards today! These two cards were made with October Afternoon Farm Girl papers. The one on the left has some interesting layering on it, which used up a little bit of the scrappy off cuts I had on the table left from previously made cards.I fussy cut some of the little flowers from another sheet of farm girl paper, and added some ric rac and Kaisercraft rhinestones. The houses were from the same kraft sheet as my previous post, I have had them for at least 2 years, and can’t reemember what brand they were, but they match this paper beauitully, and I have managed to use up a little more stash! I taught a class this morning, and I picked up some Tim Holtz glass bottles. I am going to make my husband a Valentines day card and put one on the card with a message inside it – I will post it when I have done it. Til tomorrow….

October afternoon Farm Girl number 8 and 9

IMG_1174 (Medium)For these two cards I have done a fair bit of layering, and added ric rac, buttons, and bakers twine. The heart images are some I found in my craft stash, I have had them for years, and they came on a kraft sheet with quite a lot of home spun  images. the patterned paper is October afternoon farm Girl. Super quick post tonight as the family are waiting for me to play a board game1 Til tomorrow….

October Afternoon farm Girl Number 5

IMG_1172 (Medium)Number 5 in my October afternoon farm Girl series, and for this one I used a lovely gingham patterned paper to cover my card blank, and a strip of paper on the side, punched with a martha stewart punch, and highlighted with a little ric rac. three lovly buttons threaded with bakers twine down the opposite side, and I fussy cut the farm girl from another piece of the patterned paper.Thats the last of the animal images, tomorrow we move on to what else you can do with this wonderful collection.I taught a class this morning with my lovely ladies, and had a terrific time with them, as always. I came home full of ideas for my March classes, so have been creating in the craft room, and will head back there now while I am in the Zone! Til tomorrow….

October Afternoon farm Girl number 4

IMG_1171 (Medium)A very late post tonight – it’s been incredibly hot here today, and only now have I been able to sit in comfort at the computer! This is one of my favourite cards as it combines all the elements I love – fussy cutting, buttons, bakers twine, ric rac, the use of paper scraps ( the strip I used threaded through the gorgeous ribbon slider – not just for ribbon)The paper is of course October Afternoon farm Girl. And so to bed –  til tomorrow….

October afternoon farm Girl number 3

IMG_1170 (Medium)This one was super easy – I covered the whole card base with October Afternoon patterned paer, and then just decorated with other pieces that I had fussy cut from the same collection. The gingham strip down the right hand side is a scrap from the same range, and I added a button and flower for some texture. Most of the fussy cut images were stuck in place with mounted squares to add some height. a bit of bling to the fussy cut flowers in the corner, and done! It is a really hot day here today, but I will pop into the craft room for a short while to fulfill an order, but I won’t be hanging around in there – it’s definitely sit under the air conditioner and watch t.v. weather. Til tomorrow……

October Afternoon Farm Girl number 1 and 2

IMG_1169 (Medium)I loved working with this new paper from October Afternoon, called farm Girl. The images on one of the 12 x 12 sheets of paper were crying out to be fussy cut, ( that is the little girl with an assortment of animals) and the other papers in the collection are gorgeous and bright. I used a Martha stewart punch,Bakers twine, flower rhinestones, and ric rac ( which I found in my Late grans sewing bits and pieces). in Particular the ric rac and bakers twine go perfectly with this paper.I fussy cut a few flowers from another piece of paper in the collection to finish. This was such an easy collection to work with – I made a lot of cards all in  one sitting, and for once had no bits of papers left over ! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft tropicana number 5

IMG_1167 (Medium)IMG_1168 (Medium)This is the last for now, of my Kaisercraft Tropicana series. There are 2 images here, so don’t forget to scroll down a bit to see them both! I used the 12″ paper and collectables for this card, and punched three circles down the front of the card. Inside the card I positioned three images from the pack of collectables, so that they show through when the card is closed. This is a card that was easy to make, but has a lot of added interset to it – you could completely change it around – use feminine paper and add die cut butterflies to the inside circles – this design has lots of possiblities, and I will be experimenting with it more when I finally find some time to myself in the craft room!  On to something else next post…. Til tomorrow….

KAIsercraft tropicana number 4

IMG_1166 (Medium)For my fourth card in my Kaisercraft tropicana series, I have used some of the 12 x 12 paper and the matching collectables, and matted the image on some Stampin Up Early espresso cardstock. The card base is Stampin Up Early Avocado, and I joined the tags from the packet of collectables with a length of string. Even though there is some hibiscus’s in the corner I think this one would be suitable for a male! Looking forward to an evening in the craft room, I haven’t been in there all week, and my fingers are itching to get started on something! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Tropicana number 2

IMG_1162 (Medium)Kaisercraft Tropicana paper collsection, and collectables on this card, and just some Stampin Up early espresso cardstock for matting, and a stampin Up sentiment stamp. I do like the imagery on this paper, and makes me wish I was there!Quick posts this week, as I am teaching a couple of evening classes, so have to be super organised to get there in time after work at my day job! Til tomorrow….

GRaphic 45 a place in Time number 6

IMG_7236 (Medium)Number 6 in my graphic 45 a place in time march cut outs series.I used Stampin Up garden green cardstock, and some bazil which I punched with Martha stewart lace doily punch, and also used some to matt the main image. A strip of the reverse side of the paper, some flowers and ribbon , bit of fussy cutting the fairy image  and this is a great card for a young lady!
