IMG_1067 (Medium)I have a few more cards to show that I made with Kaisercraft Velvet Crush paper collection. This collection sold out very quickly at my local papercraft store, and I beleive kaisercraft are out of stock at the moment too, it’s been so popular. The colours are gorgeous I have to say… These few cards that I made are Mothers day cards – I start them early because I sell so many Mothers day cards – it’s busier than christmas for me!for this one I used the 12 x 12 papers, and i fussy cut some butterflies out of some of the paper, and there is a butterfly from the collectables there too. The sentiment, cardstock and ribbon are from stampin Up, I used an ek success border punch, and Kaisercraft rhinestones to finish.you could of course change the sentiment to suit your celebration. I am going to spend a good few relaxing hours in the craft room after tea making some engagement and wedding cards. i have pulled out some old collections that are suited to these themes, and I am ready to go! Til tomorrow….

Tilda country escape number 6

IMG_1076 (Medium)Tilda country escape 12 ” pad, and spellbinders Persian motifs die. A similar sketch to yesterdays card, with less ribbon, and a smaller spellbinders die, but I still inked all my edges with tea dye ink,and embellished with some kindyglitz and liquid pearls. That is all I have done with this range so far, so tomorrow we will find something else to look at! today I have been playing around with some heat embossing and sprays, just experimenting really, sometimes it’s just fun to go into the craft room , pull out a few things and see what happens! til tomorrow….

Tilda Country Escape number 5

IMG_1075 (Medium)This next group of cards that Nathan and I photographed is a real mix and match! This one is a vintage style card, which I made with Tilda Country Escape papers. They came in a 12 x 12 pad, and there were a few pages of die cuts included in the pad which made it great value.I have run 2 strips of paper down the card and hidden the join with a wide ribbon. I used another wide ribbon for the bow, added a die cut ( spellbinders persian motifs) and some liquid pearls. I inked around all my pieces with tea dye distress ink, in keeping with the whole vintage style. I am off now to organise Nathan to get the camera out and photo some new cards, til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 double easel card – and side view

IMG_5871 (Medium)IMG_5872 (Medium)Graphic 45 couture collection paper, and lots of fussy cutting! I have included a side view so that you can see how I constructed my double easel card. This paper lends itself wonderfully to easel cards because there are so many elements to fussy cut out, without needing to add flowers, ribbon or bling. the paper is really enough on its own. I have come to the end of this series, so tomorrow we will have a look at something different! very hot here today, so I only ventured into the craft room for a short while – the first time I have been in there in quite a few days, and had a play with some of my new paper, but the heat has driven me back to my comfy chair under the air conditioning vent!Til tomorrow….

Graphi8c 45 couture collection – double easel cards

IMG_5870 (Medium)I am back from my little mini break to Perth, and we had a lovely time – a very quick visit, but we managed to squeeze in a lot of sightseeing, and a bit of relaxing too!todays cards uses graphic 45 couture collection paper collection, and I have done a lot of fussy cutting for these ones. The style of card is what I wanted to show you all – I am calling it a double easel card, with the second easel a fair bit smaller than the main easel – I am going to do a youtube video with this style so that you can all see how to do it and the measurements will be on the video – I always learn better by seeing it done – much easier than just reading I think. In my class at paper flourish this friday we are doing cards very similar to this and I can’t wait to do them! til tomorrow….
