Another group of cards I made while I was supposed to be cleaning up the craft room… What can I say, I am easily distracted. After I made the first card ( and these were quick cards…no hunting around for bits of lace and ribbon..everything was found where I was sitting..) I decide that this paper lent itself perfectly to the double zigzag shaped card, so the remaining three were done in that style. I have since filmed a youtube clip showing you how easy this card is to create. You should be able to find the link over there on the right…maybe click on the three little dots… Nathan has been playing with my site so you may notice a couple of upgrades! Til next time, stay safe…..

Uniquely Creative Winter Rose 1 and 2….
This weekend i received my new Uniquely Creative Winter Rose collection in the mail, so everything was put on hold while I fussycut elements, gathered matching cardstock and flowers and started to create! These are the very first two cards I made, using papers, creative cuts, and on the happy birthday card a glitter die cut using Uniquely Creative Flourish die, and a clear dome in the flower centre. The second card is all ready for dads fathers day card.. being scottish he will love the stag! I am off now to make more with this stunning paper collection! Til next time, stay safe…
Kaisercraft Cherry Tree lane..revisited..
As regulars to my blog all know, I have been having a huge tidy up of the craft room. I have done my best to stay on task, and I have three tubs of assorted paper collections that have to go. Now and again I have been distracted with some collections that I am ready to give up but just wanted to create with one last time. This is one of those collections that I stopped the work and sat and created with just what was to hand, so quite simple, just a ribbon bow, and a little lace added. The collection is a couple of years old…Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane. the top card is a double z fold card, and I know I have said it before..I am going to film a youtube video on how to do this fold. I have no excuse as we are pretty much confined to home just now, and aren”t we lucky that we are crafters and have lots of projects to keep us busy!Til next time, stay safe…..
Uniquely Creative Urban Garden 3, 4 and 5….
Today’s cards are thre more I made using Uniquely Creative Urban garden paper collection. There is a multitude of opportunities for fussy cutting with this collection and i took full advantage! I did a little layering with stampin up cardstock, and on the bottom card added a ribbon bow, some lace and a clear cabishon in the centre of the big flower. The die I used is a Uniquely Creative Stitching rectangle die, and I hand cross stitched the greetings on each card with some embroidery thread I had in my sewing box. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting sewing these as I watched tv, and will do that more often! The big clean up continues, in between organising our crafting get together and planning something big to share in a couple of months! Til next time…
Mintay Bloomville…
Mintay Bloomville is a gorgeous paper collection, with glorious colours to work with. Lots of fussy cutting opportunities, but I only did a little bit for these two cards. As with every Mintay collection there is a sheet of really pretty mini card fronts and they are what I used for the focus here. As usual when I am working with any Mintay I did lots of layering..I like to get as much of the different paper on one card as I can ..lol… The only extra I added was the little oval metal on the second card and the sentiments. I have added a photo my little Luna, who waits patiently for me to move from the crafting table and play with her.. Til next time….
Uniquely Creative Wise and free 5 and 6..
Todays cards both have an owl theme, and both are made with Uniquely Creative Wise and Free products. The top card is all papers and matching Creative Cuts, with some sequins and flowers added, and the second card is paper from the collection for the background and some Creative cuts, but also some stamping! The stamp is Uniquely Creative Wise and Free stamp and I coloured it with copic markers. A flower, doily and sequins to finish this one. After weeks and months of no rain today it is finally raining! Hopefully it is spread wide enough that it helps the firefighters in our Hills area as we are expecting more hot weather by Tuesday. I am just grateful to see it, and have all the dust settled. last night we had to do something we have never had to do before ..due to the choking smoke we had to head to the hardware store and pick up face masks. We are miles from the fire zones, so can only imagine what it is like closer to them. Today I am starting the big craft clean up… anything I haven’t used in the past year is going.. I have to make some room for new things so this is my only option… lets see how far I get before I get distracted….Til next time….
Kaisercraft ladylike 5, 6, and 7..
I am back after a little break when I enjoyed a lovely cruise, and taught many lovely ladies in a series of craft classes. Now I am madly chasing my tail catching up on so many things that need to be done before Christmas day, but it was all worth it! Todays cards are from a set I made with Kaisercraft ladylike collection – the 6″ pad and just one sheet of the 12 a 12 from the same colection ( the one with the roses all over it with lots of fussy cutting opportunities!) I trimmed the front of the top card down so that you can see some of the inside and decorated that as well, as you can see from the second photo. I added bead trim and lace to that one and one of my homemade resin birds. The other two cards are very simple and just rely on the papers, and a little layering. Next time we will move along to something different…til then…..
Kaisercraft Lady Like ..the first one..
This week I purchased Kaisercraft lady like 6″ pad, a packet of collectables, and a couple of sheets of the 12 x 12 papers. After a lovely afternoon of fussy cutting, dinner was put on the back burner ( literally!) while I made this first card.. I just couldn’t resist ! For this one I used the 12 x 12 papers, and the die is a Uniquely Creative little Leaves die. Today roast is in the oven and I am off to make more, this time with lots of lace, ribbon and bling… til next time…
All about butterflies!
Today’s two cards have one thing in common – Butterflies! The top card has layers of black and white patterned paper, with the focus on the top piece of paper which is covered in butterflies. I fussy cut a couple of extra butterflies to pop on top for a bit of dimension. The papers are from Stampin up, but I am not sure if they are still available. The second card is a really simple card, a layer of patterned paper, an embossed piece of white cardstock, and then the butterfly die cut. The dies are all one piece, with the finer die stuck on top of the thicker die to make a shadow effect. It is a Stampin up die called Butterfly Beauty, and brilliant for quick makes. I just added some bling to the centre of the butterflies. Til tomorrow….
Stampin Up lovely Lattice..Watercolouring with re- inkers..
Today’s two cards focus on a stamp from Stampin Up called Lovely lattice. The top card has an embossed layer – the same Stampin up embossing folder as the card on the previous post ( Lace Dynamic Embossing folder) and I stamped the Lovely Lattice stamp on watercolour paper and coloured it with an aquabrush and re-inkers. For the lower card I stamped onto watercolour paper with versamark ink, and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Again I coloured with an aquabrush and re-inkers, also painting a very light wash over the background. If you want to know more about watercolouring with re-inkers check out my little clip on my you-tube channel – the link is over there on the right hand side of the page! I have been a bit time poor over the last couple of years, but I am retiring at the end of this week so will have more time to focus on my blog, and you-tube channel – exciting times!! til tomorrow…
