More die cuts on cards…

img_6791img_6792Todays cards are put aside for an order, I like they way they came out and will more than likely design a class around these dies. The dies are by Paper Rose, and they are: leaf scrolls, vases and stems, flower set one,and the embossing folder is a kaisercraft one. I also like this embossing folder – it fits my size card ( 15 x 21 cm folded) perfectly. I also embossed the vases. A terrific way to use up scraps of cardstock.Well, today roast is in the oven ( bit of a poor choice really as its so humid here today) washing is sorted, everyone is happy so i am off to the craft room! Kaisercraft Ooh La La 6….

img_8030-mediumNo die cutting or stamping on this card – just all paper!I used a bit of everything in the collection – some papers from the 6″ pad, collectables, and one of the card front rectangles from a 12 x 12 paper.Did some fussy cutting, and added some bling. Got to love this paper! Til tomorrow….

Julie Nutting Belle Vie..vintage..

img_9337-mediumcontinuing on with the cards I made with a couple of sheets of Julie Nutting Belle Vie papers I layered the first paper, after swiping with Tea Dye ink around the edges, and popped a postcard print from the other sheet on top – It had a lovely image on the left so i just added my greeting ( stamped with a stampin up stamp and fussy cut) behind which i glued some fibre wool. a group of flowers and some old beading to finish! Busy day today, long overdue trip to the hairdresser, and a family picnic in the park thios afternoon – hope the weather holds! Til tomorow…

Kaisercraft True Romance

IMG_9327 (Medium)This is the last Kaisercraft True romance for a little while, next in the queue are some Christmas cards made with some new release papers. This card still relies heavily on layers, and inking each piece with tea Dye ink. There is some fussy cutting as well as a collectable from the range. The sentiment was die cut with Kaisercraft occasions Dies on glitter cardstock..(Also from Kaisercraft).Kaisercrafts glitter cardstock from this year doesn’t shed its glitter..which is fantastic!I purposely trimmed the paper background so that the flowers were in opposite corners. Continuing on with kaisercraft true Romance

IMG_9326 (Medium)As I started with the revisit to Kaisercraft True Romance paper collection yesterday we will continue on with the cards I made before I created the rectangle aperture card. This card uses some of the 12 x 12 paper,a couple of the collectables and some fussy cut flowers. There were lots of tags in this collection so I have done a lot of layering here, with the tags and the doilies that are also in this collection. This is another collection that I have lots of so it will take a few revisits before I have used it all! I have inked around the edges of everything with tea dye ink. Inking around edges is a good idea when you are doing lots of layers as it defines each layer.Tea dye distress ink is always my go-to ink pad for this job. Til tomorrow….

Back to the beginning….

IMG_0306 (Medium)IMG_0309 (Medium)When I first started cardmaking I made 3D cards. This is before I discovered patterned paper! anyway, now and again I go back to my cardmaking roots and rediscover 3d sheets all over again. I love the act of sitting in front of the TV fussycutting the layers..the most relaxing thing ever, and it is always fun to try an old style with new tools such as the top card with the Kaisercraft  Roses embossing folder and the bottom card with swipes of my clear wink of stella pen.I bought a few  3d sheets when I was at the craft fair for a very good price, so over the year you may see some more ideas from me as I create with them. Today i have plans to actually enjoy some quality time in the craft room – something that has been lacking in the past few weeks..til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft cottage Rose number 2

IMG_0595 (Medium)Today we start a series of cards that I made with kaisercraft cottage Rose paper collection and matching collectables. This first one is a wedding card – I used a kaisercraft die for the sentiment and die cut it from stampin up silver cardstock.( this set of kaisercraft dies are brilliant – they have anniversary, engagement, birthday and congratulations all in the one set – brilliant value). The flowers are green tara and prima, and the silver thread is stampin up. I punched the leaves with my martha stewart leaf punch. This one is a favourite of mine! I was hoping to get into the craft room and make some more cards for my boxes, but I have a few orders to do, and I am picking up my new stampin up catalogue from my sister today, so will probably spend my spare time studying it and making an extensive wish list! Til tomorrow….

Two more fresh from my desk

IMG_6468IMG_6469I finished my orders yesterday, and here are two of them, the top card is being posted, so had to stay quite flat. I used Stampin Up botanical blooms dies and stampin up cardstock for this one, and die cut some glitter flourishes, punched a glitter butterfly, and added liquid pearls and sequins. the bottom card was much more textured with lots of flowers, more glitter flourishes, and key and ribbon bow. I am caught up with my orders now, but no crafting today, I am taking Mum out to spend her Mothers day money at Paper Flourish and we will visit spotlight too – we are on the hunt for very very fine paint brushes for dad, I found them on-line but they are very expensive and he goes through so many so we will have a look around locally.Til tomorrow….

Authentique Devoted number 1..

IMG_2949 (Medium)Yesterday was one of my sisters’ birthday and this is the card i made for her as she has a little dog the same as this one! The paper is a new collection from Authentique ( love the feel and quality of this companys paper) and I just did lots of layering, corner rounding, inking of edges, and added ribbon, lace and a prima flower spray.  The cardstock is from stampin up.I am off today to teach a class, looking forward to seeing my ladies. it’s going to be a hot day here today.. we seem to have skipped spring and headed straight into summer this year! Til tomorrow…..

Bo Bunny Isabella numbers 2 and 3

IMG_3190 (Medium)IMG_3192 (Medium)Love the colours of this paper – Bo bunny Isabella. The cardstock is stampin up as is the sentiment stamp, and I have used a variety of flowers, mainly Prima on the bottom card and the bunch on the top card is Manor House. Martha stewart leaf punch, ribbon and liquid pearls are the rest of the supplies I used.I had some new stamps to colour last night, and today I have spent an hour or two in between housework making up cards with the finished colouring.Til tomorrow…..
