Simple Stories the story of us number 1 and 2

IMG_5758 (Medium)IMG_5759 (Medium)I bought just a few sheets of this collection – Simple stories the story of Us ( I think it’s really meant to be used for scrapbooking pages but I saw lots of card making potential) and made so many cards just in one sitting, that I am going to put them up two at a time otherwise we will be going for quite some time !the top card has quite a bit of product, starting with sequins to match the sequin patterned background, doily, die cut hearts, ribbon, kaisercraft mini flowers, martha stewart leaf punch, liquid pearls and a stampin up sentiment. At the other end of the scale the second card only has a few sequins and a couple of leaf punches. The rest of this one was fussy cut bits from the papers.Throughout the range of Cards that you will see I have used metallic cardstock in gold and / or silver for the matting. This afternoon I have been in the craft room planning April classes – I know I am really getting ahead of myself, but I had some new kaisercraft paper – it was released this month – Betsys couture – and I really wanted to use it for a class and April will be the first opportunity to do so. I love this paper, and can’t wait to start creating my own cards with this range! Til tomorrow…

Kaisercraft Sandy Toes number 2

IMG_5737 (Medium)Today we start a new collection – Kaisercraft Sandy toes.Great paper collection for this time of year although we have been lucky here lately – not too hot at all, just lovely sunny days. For this one I did some basic layering, and fussy cut the palm trees from a panel to place at the bottom of the card, stamped a sentiment with a stampin up stamp, and added a few sequins ( my new like) scattered across the card. Now that I have a couple of weeks off I will be visiting spotlight to get a few more colours.Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 time to flourish 8 and 9,october.

IMG_5735 (Medium)IMG_5736 (Medium)At first glance I  didn’t think I would use any of the October papers in the 12 x 12 pad of Graphic 45 Time to Flourish collection, because it was quite halloween themed which we really don’t get into here in australia, but on closer inspection I spied these gorgeous images of scottish thistles. That is my heritage, and I thought if I could make a couple of male orientated cards, that would be my Dad and my uncles cards sorted for this year. So, no ribbon, lace bling or anything too fancy, just a lot of matting, and a little fussy cutting, and strategic placement of said mats, but I really like how they both turned out,and no paper wasted!Til tomorrow….

Card in a box cards

IMG_4067 (Medium)IMG_4070 (Medium)So, I started to go through my papers to have a bit of a cull, and straight away got distracted. This is a kaisercraft paper, a couple of years old ( and I can’t remember the name), and when I bought it I hadn’t learnt how to make these card in a box cards. when I saw the paper again this is the first thing I did with it.I have been through to the card room to try and find the rest of the paper so that I can tell you the name, but I have lost it again, I don’t think I finished it with these cards so I am sure it will turn up again , maybe in another couple of years! Meantime, if anyone knows the name of this collection can they let me know cos it’s going to drive me crazy!Today I have been making baby cards – I had to pull out all the baby card papers to make a special card for a friend, so while it was out I made a few more. Now I have moved onto engagement/wedding cards using kaisercrafts new collection xo ( funny name!!)Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Time to flourish June number 7… the last….

IMG_4079 (Medium)Here is the last card i made with Graphic 45 time to flourish June papers. I have used every scrap of these few sheets, which doesn’t happen very often!. this card was another experiment with measurements for the stepper cards, an awkward size for envelopes, this one, so I had to get my envelope maker out to make one for this.a little fussy cutting, ribbon and lace, and it did become the inspiration for one of my classes in February, so really I haven’t seen the last of this gorgeous paper!Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 time to flourish number 6

IMG_4078 (Medium)This one is a side stepper card, ( graphic 45 time to flourish June papers) again, I just sat down with my cardstock and ruler and fiddled with measurements until I made something that would fit into a normal c6 envelope. Luckily for me I scribbled down the measurements and made templates of all these cards so that I could do them again, because I really like this one in particular – it’s perfect for showing off this beautiful paper. My holidays start at the end of next week, and I will get Nathan organised with the video camera and we will do a bit of a clip on how I made this one and the previous card posted so that you can all try ! As for the rest…. fussy cut bits , and layers on each step( which you can’t really see in the photo) and a gorgeous ribbon bow to finish. Two days of 6 am starts over with, a day off tomorrow, one more day of work and three days off after that – got to love long weekends!! Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Time to flourish 5…. June.

IMG_4077 (Medium)Todays card is as clean and simple as I get with Graphic 45 paper. A bit of white space left on the card, and a border punched with Martha Stewart lace doily  border punch, ribbon and fussy cutting.Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 time to flourish June, 3 and 4

IMG_4075 (Medium)IMG_4076 (Medium)two cards today, Graphic 45 Time to flourish, the June papers. The top card is lots and lots of fussy cutting with some lace and a ribbon bow, while the bottom card is a stepper card – I have been experimenting with measurements for these types of cards, so this one is a 13 x 13 cm stepper.Martha stewart lace doily border punch, lace and lots more fussy cutting here. This afternoon I have spent a couple of relaxing hours in the craft room stamping with some new stamp sets, but as usual the weekend has gone far too quickly! til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Time to flourish 2 June.

IMG_4074 (Medium)Card number 2 made from graphic 45 Time to flourish ( June sheets) . It’s no wonder I started with this month in the 12 x 12 paper pad – these colours together are my favourite!I fussy cut another rose and a piece of the border trim, and added a ribbon bow, lace and some liquid pearls. the cardstock is Stampin Up baja breeze, sadly retired, but I bought up big on this colour before it disappeared! til tomorrow….

graphic 45 Time to Flourish June..number 1

IMG_4072 (Medium)graphic 45 Time to Flourish ..the June papers. I think by now you all know how I feel about Graphic 45 papers,so we will get straight into the description! One layer on my cardstock ( stampin up pink piroutte) with a corner rolled down and a brad to hold it in place. I punched a border with Martha Stewart lace doily punch – this is my second one – I wore the first punch out…and a piece of lace trim and little bows over the top.The rose was fussy cut from the paper.I have taught a couple of classes this week, and had a great time with my ladies.I have also made a couple of purchases – some flowers ( can never have enough) and a few copic markers – yes I have given in and bought some. I had bought quite a few kaisercraft fusion markers, but they dry out very quickly and it appears that they have been discontinued so, really if I want to keep colouring I had no choice. we will see how I get on with them! til tomorrow…..
