The Craft Fair..

I have been missing for a couple of weeks because I have been super busy organizing my craft stall for the local fair which took place over the last two days. I am sharing a couple of photos with you all, the first tables with the black tablecloths were my cards for sale, and the next two tables were the card kits my friend and I made up for sale. We were super busy both days and it was so good to catch up with all our local crafty friends , especially as we hadn’t seen them for two years! We had such a great time we have decided to do it all again so will have more goodies for sale same time, same place next year! Til next time ( when things will be back to normal) stay safe..

Tranquility..

I love this months papers and assorted matching ephemera from Uniquely Creative. There are a few different styles you can make with this collection from the most fussy Vintage, to modern, and even clean and simple. As you can see, I have issues with clean and simple! I have made up a few kits with this range for my ladies at the retirement village , and I am looking forward to teaching them later this week. It will be the first time in over a year that I have been able to visit them, so great excitement! That has kept me busy this week, it’s been good to get back to half normal! Til next time, stay safe….

Not so Shabby!

Sometimes I just want to create with my rather large range of flowers, and this group of cards was one of those times! The base paper range is Uniquely Creative Winter Rose, and I have used lots of extra bits and pieces….muslin, die cut leaves, metal pieces, pearl strings, lace, frames and laser cuts. So much fun to sit and see where the imagination takes you! Our weather has turned chilly, so I feel drawn more to my craft table, which is good for my mental health, and I am preparing a class for the retirement village ladies which will be fun too. Til next time, stay safe ….

Choose your Own Adventure!

This months collection from Uniquely Creative is called Choose Your Own Adventure, and I have been having so much fun making boys and young people type cards. Lots of elements on the papers to fussy cut, and the matching Creative cuts are very handy as well. This paper ideally suits this layer upon layer type of design and I am still learning how to do it, but I am having fun practising! The weather here continues to get colder as each day goes by, perfect crafting weather so I am finding a small amount of time each day to make at least one card just to unwind a little bit. How lucky we are to have a hobby that allows a little escape from busy-ness each day! Til next time, stay safe….

Graphic 45 Bird Watcher

I purchased a couple of new collections from graphic 45, this one ( Bird Watcher) is one of them. Graphic 45 always has terrific fussy cutting potential, and so that’s really all I relied on for these first 4 cards. The bottom card has some music paper that I found in a second hand book sale, and I die cut some leaf fronds from an old printed book for the other three cards. A handy hint to extend your crafting stash! Til next time, stay safe…..

Uniquely Creative Outback Divine part 2…

Hello! I hope you have all had a safe and Happy Easter with some time to yourselves to do what you love. My Husband and I went away for Easter to visit family, and had a terrific, relaxing time. It was our 40th wedding anniversary too, so lots of celebrating! On we go to this weeks cards. They are all made with Uniquely Creative products from the recently released Outback Divine collection. The third card is one I made for my mum and dads 65th weddiing anniversary which was a few days before our 40th. I do love the Australian flora and fauna in this range. Life is back to busy again, but i am going to make more of an effort to spend some time creating. it’s good for my health! Til next time, stay safe….

Uniquely Creative Wild ..last two

The last two cards made with the Uniquely Creative Wild collection are a total break from the Dinosaurs, much more feminine and very simple. I used an embossing folder on the top card, and some frondy leaf dies on the lower card. I haven’t done much crafting this week as my husband has been very ill in hospital. He is home now but very weak, so I am playing nurse. The one good thing is we are all out of isolation, so life will gradually get back to new normal. til next time, stay safe….

Mintay Urban Jungle part 2…

Her, as promised are the other 3 cards i have made so far with Mintay urban Jungle..a week late, I know, But things have been happening! First we were sent into a deep lockdown due to an outbreak of Covid. Thankfully our wonderful health professionals were on top of the contact tracing so swiftly we didn’t have to endure a very long “nothing but supermarkets and medical places open” for very long at all, and things are now almost back to normal with minimal restrictions. So a great time to craft I hear you say? No. My son is finally coming home after spending four years interstate, and not being able to see him all this year, there is nothing but excitement here as I empty my craft room to give him a place to lay his head until he gets his own place. Also now that the shops are finally open I have to do a last minute push to finish the Christmas shopping. Crafting will happen, but it is going to be sporadic for a while! In the meantime stay safe, Til next time….

Uniquely Creative Something Blue part 2…

Another three cards made with Uniquely Creative Something Blue. All the bits and pieces on these cards were in the creative kit,but everything is also available individually on their website. I love the cool colours in this range.. just what we need today when our temperature is so hot..over 38C ! A cool crafting day for me! Til next time, stay safe…

Mintay Merry and Bright

Three cards today made with Mintay merry and Bright. The first two are very simple , with just fussy cut images from the papers, and the third card is an accordian style card with step down features. I have shown you a few different angles, so that hopefully you see what I mean!lots of images from the papers, and added flowers and a doily on this one! This week I have been busy drawing up patterns – I am going to get the sewing machine out and try my hand at some dolls clothes for my little great niece..I am looking forward to trying something a bit different, but i also have to prepare a lesson for the village ladies, so a crafty week is on the cards! til next time, stay safe….
