IMG_5609 (Medium)This is the third card i made with Lawn fawn let’s polka in the meadow 6″ pad.The dies I used were Stampin Up Dress up, and a kaisercraft flourish circle die. The scalloped stitch die was My Favourite Things. Some punched leaves, kaisercraft flower and bling to add the finishing touches. I could have used the whole pad designing my dresses, but tomorrow I will show you what i did with the scraps I created! i am up very early for a saturday,I have done all my housework, pot of vegetable soup on the stove and now I am off to the craft room to come up with some designs using a new stamp set to inspire a group of ladies who fell in love with the stamps but have run out of ideas on what to do with them! Magnolia Lane collection

IMG_5629 (Medium)I found some lovely vintage paper that I had to have, it’s called Magnolia lane and the paper company is Ultimate Crafts.I have been  a bit time poor for crafting lately but I did find a spare 1/2 hour to cut into this gorgeous paper. I also bought the matching collectables, and really the papers don’t need much else. Here is the first one , I made it in a gatefold style and decorated the inside as well as the outside.Inked all my edges with tea dye distress ink and the cardstock is from Stampin Up.My Body is protesting at being back at work, my muscles are a wee bit sore, so I am off to fill the hot water bottle and treat my back to some heat! Kaisercraft limelight 1,2,3..

IMG_5626 (Medium)

When I was looking for something else altogether in the craft room, I came across some paper I hadn’t created with, so I stopped what I was doing and came up with 3 very quick cards that would be suitable for the men in our lives or even ladies that love nature! The paper collection is Kaisercraft limelight and I have used the matching collectables, papers from the 6″ pad and there my even be some bits of 12 x 12 paper here too.the top card was perfect to use one of my little clock charms on. Who knows what else is hiding in that craft room? Tomorrow I am back to work, so this afternoon is all about finishing up some projects on my craft table, and thinking about some ideas for upcoming classes. Til tomorrow….

Truly Vintage with prima tales of you and me

IMG_0591 (Medium)Today I have indulged my favourite style – Vintage! The paper collection is Prima Tales of you and me, and I have used the same image on both cards. On the left card I fussy cut the image, and did some clean layering, inking the edges with tea dye distress ink as I went.I added a matching chipboard butterfly,a die cut leaf, Prima flowers and ribbon. For the right hand side I went for a more shabby feel – I love this style too, but have real trouble ripping and tearing my precious papers, but still I keep trying! I used the image as it was,die cut a flourish, and added some gold twine, a Prima flower and fussy cut butterflies, ribbon and lace. Today is a glorious winter day – the sun is shining, and this afternoon I am off to the retirement village to show the ladies how to make a bendy card! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Cottage rose number 4….

IMG_0597 (Medium)I love this paper from the cottage rose range, and have an idea to use some of it to make a card shaped like a purse when I have it out next. In the meantime I have made and anniversary card, added a die cut sentiment, collectable heart, and prima and green tara flowers. I used some liquid pearls on the paper to highlight the quilted effect. These cards are all ear marked for the craft fair, which is only a couple of weeks away now, i can’t wait! love catching up with ladies who visit me from year to year, and of course checking out all the other craft stalls! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft cottage Rose number 3

IMG_0596 (Medium)Todays card is and engagement card, using all the same bits and pieces as yesterday card, including kaisercraft Cottage Rose paper ( 6″ pad this time) , collectables, and occassions die. I also die cut a couple of hearts with some silver cardstock from stampin up. Quick post today as my roast is ready as we speak, and then into the craft room – I have finally caught up with orders so today is freestylin’! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft cottage Rose number 2

IMG_0595 (Medium)Today we start a series of cards that I made with kaisercraft cottage Rose paper collection and matching collectables. This first one is a wedding card – I used a kaisercraft die for the sentiment and die cut it from stampin up silver cardstock.( this set of kaisercraft dies are brilliant – they have anniversary, engagement, birthday and congratulations all in the one set – brilliant value). The flowers are green tara and prima, and the silver thread is stampin up. I punched the leaves with my martha stewart leaf punch. This one is a favourite of mine! I was hoping to get into the craft room and make some more cards for my boxes, but I have a few orders to do, and I am picking up my new stampin up catalogue from my sister today, so will probably spend my spare time studying it and making an extensive wish list! Til tomorrow….

teen Male card….

IMG_3696 (Medium)Today I have my mind on young male cards as I have to make one for my nephews birthday, so thought I would post one I made earlier! I used Kaisercraft Attitude paper for the background, and stamped ( Deep Red stamp company) a drum set and just highlighted the image with a gold pen.A bit of paper piercing, and hand sewing and some assorted twine to finish. The nephew in question is not a drummer, so this one won’t do for him, so it’s back to the craft room for me! til tomorrow….

Stampin Up stippled blossoms stamp number 1

IMG_0306 (Medium)I thought I would show some stamped cards I made a couple of weeks ago. These two cards are made with Stampin Up Stippled Blossoms stamp set. Its a two step stamping technique. the first stamped layer is a solid stamp, and you stamp it in a lighter colour, then use the second stamp in a darker colour over the top to get a more defined image. On the left I used stampin up inks – daffodil delight and tangerine tango, and on the card on the right I used stampin up rasberry ripple and primrose petals. The leaves were done with garden green and pistachio pudding inks. I used an E K Success punch on both cards. Still struggling with this rotten cold, so it’s been a lazy day for me! Til tomorrow….
