prima A victorian Christmas…vintage style..5…9..

IMG_7240 (Medium)IMG_7241 (Medium)IMG_7242 (Medium)Hello, and it’s good to be back!Thank you for all your best wishes, i have had my knee op and am in recovery mode now – it already feels better, and just have to take it easy for a couple of weeks more, and then should be good as new! todays cards ( 5 of them today) are made using Prima’s new christmas range which is called a Victorian Christmas. Love this paper as it gives me a chance to use my ribbon and lace. I have also used just little bits of last years kaisercraft christmas papers, mainly to add the greetings, on the bottom three cards.Must get back to bed for now, but til tomorrow…..

Prima A Victorian Christmas…

IMG_7238 (Medium)IMG_7239 (Medium)Back to christmas cards, and these are my favourite cards to create – vintage. it means I can get out my lace and distress inks! I bought just a few sheets of Prima A Victorian Christmas, and I have extended that by using some scraps of last years kaisercraft christmas collections,as you can see on the top two cards. The rest is just layering, I have gone for red and brown, and adding some ribbon and lace to finish. til tomorrow….

Authentique Devoted, 3,4, and 5…

IMG_2948 (Medium)IMG_2951 (Medium)IMG_2952 (Medium)Three cards today to finish off my Authentique devoted series which got interrupted due to more pressing christmas cards! I had a bit of fun with these cards and used plenty of lace, ribbon, hessian, bling and even a button. I did go to the specialist yesterday, and found out I have torn a ligament in the back of my knee, so operation on Thursday and after that I may be missing from here for a few days while I recuperate, but until then…til tomorrow…..

IMG_2963 IMG_2963 (Medium)IMG_2964 (Medium)IMG_2959 (Medium)Here are the last 5 cards in my simple stories claus and co series ( sorry the top one uploaded twice – not sure what happened there!) The same simple cards as the others in this series with just the addition of ribbon and bling. the bottom card is a gatefold card just for something different! No crafting for me today, still resting the knee so spent most of the day with my laptop in bed sorting out my pinterest boards. a bit like spring cleaning really, and I am happy that they are sorted out. til tomorrow….

simple stories claus and co 13,14,15,16..

IMG_2960 (Medium)IMG_2961 (Medium)After a short diversion we are back to Christmas cards. These ones are made with Simple Stories Claus and co papers and journalling cards.Everything I needed was on the papers, I just added some ribbon and/or bling for a bit of texture.Today I feel I have made some progress with my knee – I had my MRI and x-rays done, and will find out whats going on on monday. Although it is still not good, I can hobble around a bit with the help of Dads walking stick – lucky he has a collection of them!each little trip requires a couple of hours rest afterwards, but not feeling so helpless as I have done all week!little steps…. til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft My Cherie number 3…

IMG_2901 (Medium)Kaisercraft my Cherie 12 x 12 papers. This was the final card in the class I taught,so just a couple of the 12 x 12 papers, ribbon and A kaisercraft die – border. I did buy this whole range , and one day i will sit down and use it! until then we will return to christmas cards tomorrow! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft my Cherie 2..

IMG_2900 (Medium)This is the second card we made in last weeks class using My Cherie paper collection from Kaisercraft. All three cards ( third one tomorrow) were made using 3 sheets from the collection and the ladies went home with lots of left over product to make more cards at home! The happy Birthday die is from spellbinders and we added a ribbon bow to this one.Still confined to bed, so today I moved some of my craft room ( or got Nathan to I should say) onto my bed and spent the morning doing some watercolouring. Also doing a bit of reading, but boy, it’s going to be a long week. Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft my Cherie 1…

IMG_2898 (Medium)A break from christmas so that i can show you one of the cards we did last week in my lesson. the paper collection is Kaisercraft My cherie, and we used the 12 x 12 papers. one of the papers has butterfly images all over it – brilliant for fussy cutting! We also used some ribbon, and a kaisercraft lace border die. Well. work lasted 3 hours yesterday before my left knee gave way, and I am now confined to bed waiting for an MRI on saturday. My Dr was great and got me into a specialist straight away, but even the specialist couldn’t pull any strings to get the mri done any faster, so now its a waiting game to have that done and see what he can do to get me back on my feet. meanwhile I am confined to bed rest, reliant on the males of the household for everything and working my way through the pile of unread books by my bed! Til tomorrow….

Simple Stories Claus and Co, 9,10,11,12..

IMG_2957 (Medium)IMG_2958 (Medium)Another 4 cards made with Simple Stories Claus and Co paper collection, along with the matching washi tape and journalling cards. The great thing with this collection is all I had to add was some ribbon and bling for a bit of texture, and not even that on some of them.We will take a short break of a day or two from this collection so that I can show you some non-christmas cards just for a bit of a change! Yesterday I took a box of leftover bits and pieces over to mums, and we sat and made 20 more christmas cards to donate to the nursing home my older sister is residing in. We have started to do this, and the residents are truly grateful to be able to go to the box and pick out cards for their family members. we ( my sister and I) have only been doing this for a couple of months and already 100 cards have been put to good use. It’s great because I have finally found a terrific use for all my odds and ends.Today is another hot day here in Adelaide and the last day of my holidays, so time to polish my work shoes and dig out my uniform! til tomorrow….
