Assorted Christmas cards..

_MG_0380 (Medium)_MG_0391 (Medium)_MG_0424 (Medium)These three cards were made with lots of bits and pieces left on my desk after other projects. The top card has a bauble die, embossed background, my Merry Christmas die, and ribbon. The second card is a favourite design of mine – all white, a little embossing, and minimal stamping. The third card has some washi tape, music paper, one layer of a poinsettia die with a holly leaf on top and again the merry christmas die. All of these cards are perfect if you are making quite a few cards the same. Today my job in the craft room is to prepare the inserts for all my Christmas cards… a job I always seem to leave til last! Til next time….

Kaisercraft Christmas Wishes 4,5 and 6…

IMG_8054 (Large)IMG_8073 (Large)IMG_8075 (Large)Kaisercraft Christmas Wishes collection pack, collectables and 6″ pad…Not much else required..a bit of bling, a ribbon bow ….thats it! The bottom card has a sentiment which is a Couture Creations hot Foil stamp which I did on my Go press and Foil machine and then die cut with a Seven paper Dolls die. When i have my Hot foil machine out I tend to do a few at once so that I have a bit of a collection to choose from on my desk. I have to say I do love my foil machine! I have been spreading the word about it , running regular classes at paper Flourish showing all the different things you can do with it, and some of the ladies have given me more ideas and uses too which I am looking forward to investigating. In the meantime, today is my craft and chat gathering and looking forward to catching up with my crafty friends for a relaxing afternoon. We may even get some crafting done! Til tomorrow….

It’s time for Christmas!

IMG_8041 (Large)IMG_8037 (Large)IMG_8072 (Large)Today begins the official start of my Christmas card makes..and I am starting off with cards made with kaisercraft Christmas Wishes paper collection. I purchased the collection pack, collectables and the 6 ” pad, and I have made so many with this collection already. I will ( to alleviate boredom!) put them up 3 at a time and we will have a couple of breaks through out to also see other cards I have been making. My favourite card fold this year has been the double zig zag card so the first few are all in this design. Everything on these cards except for the bling  has come from the listed supplies at the start of the blog,  the collection pack comes with a sticker sheet which has come in handy for the strips across the smaller zig zag fold. I have done a little fussy cutting from some of the papers – the birds and the holly for example. Today is a day off but I am off to have a cortisone injection in my foot…not happy as I have had these before and they hurt!! I am hoping for short time hurt for long time gain! Til tomorrow…..

Couture Creations Christmas…

_MG_9833 (Medium)I have a few more Christmas cards, this series made with Couture Creations Let Every day be Christmas A4 paper pad and matching collectables pack. I mounted the Bird collectable onto a spellbinders scalloped circle die cut, and added some Stampin Up trim ..Quick and simple! I am home now after a hugely busy morning in the shop, and I have been die cutting some Christmas trees for a large Christmas card order I have to fulfill, now that they are done I am going to sit down this afternoon and do some fussy cutting of baubles and presents to decorate, Til tomorrow…..

A Christmas village..

_MG_9839 (Medium) We are going to take a small pause in the Kaisercraft letters to Santa series today so that I can show you a card I made with Stampin Up Hometown Greetings Die set and a piece of patterned paper from their Christmas Around the the World designer series paper pack. I die cut the houses from  gold and white glitter cardstock, and baqcked the houses with some shiny pieces of an acetate type piece.. I have no idea what it was, Mum handed it to me over the table, unsure of where she had got it, but it worked a treat as windows. Next time I do these, I will use some plain acetate as I have no more of the scrap mum gave me, and I will try colouring the clear acetate with Copic markers to see if I can get the same light shining through technique. The trees and star are Kaisercraft wooden pieces, foiled with my Go Press and Foil machine. Our clocks jumped forward an hour for daylight saving, and I have spent all morning chasing my tail, wondering where the day is going…Time is truly flying! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa 5 and 6..

_MG_9847 (Medium)_MG_9848 (Medium)Hello There! continuing on with my Kaisercraft Letters to Santa series, the top card uses the 6″ pad, collectables and ribbon, as well as some kindyglitz for shimmer, and some red Nuvo drops for my berries. The lower card is a gatefold design, with papers from the 6″ pad and images from the 12 x 12 pull apart sheet, and a couple of the collectables as well. I like doing gatefold cards for Christmas cards because it’s quick and easy to decorate the inside panel rather than having to stop and prepare an insert ! Quick post this afternoon, I will sign off now and go and prepare some dinner, til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa 1 and 2…

_MG_9843 (Medium)_MG_9844 (Medium)After a short break we are back to Christmas Cards! This series is a big one so i am going to post these ones 2 at a time. The paper collection is Kaisercraft Letters to santa, and I purchased the 6’pad, 12 x 12 papers and the collectables so on most of these cards you will see a bit of all these elements.  The top card is 6″ pad on the base, collectables in the corners and the image is  from a piece of 12 x 12 paper fussy cut and inked around the edges with tea dye distress ink. I foiled a piece of kaisercraft wooden flourish with green foil and added red berries with some Nuvo drops. I used the same products on the second card with the addition of ribbon and lace. We have had some lovely weather here this week, so I have spent a little bit of time sitting in the garden enjoying the sun on my face, but today I am going to do some seriuos die cutting of flowers and leaves because I want to master the art of flower shaping..I think that is something I could do in the evening while watching tv, and it will put my many flower dies to good use too…Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Christmas jewel number 5

_MG_4597 (Medium)Todays card is interesting because it uses some of the strips of offcuts from papers from the 6″ pad used on other cards. A great way to use up scraps. The decoration is from the kaisercraft christmas Jewel collection, and the greeting is from the sticker sheet and layered onto more scrap paper. I love the colours of this papr collection, and today we got in the september Kaisercraft releases which are both Christmas paper collections and I love the red/green vintage collection so that will be my buy for this month! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Christmas Jewel number 3

_MG_4595 (Medium)Carrying on with my Kaisercraft Christmas Jewel series, this one is really simple, with a piece of the 6″ pad with the deer image printed on it layered onto white cardstock, a sentiment from the matching sticker sheet, a matching collectable and 2 kaisercraft chipboard pieces which I foiled with my Go Press and Foil machine with silver foil. Today is the gathering of our Craft and chat group. So looking forward to catching up with my crafty mates this afternoon, and now I am off to gather some projects to take with me although there is always more chat than craft! Til tomorrow….

This years first Christmas card….

_MG_9104 (Medium)

Today is my Craft and Chat group get together, and the challenge set for todays get together was Christmas in July so I quickly whipped up a couple of cards in between class and cruise preparations to take with me . Here is the first one. The bird was a chipboard piece I found in the bottom of a drawer when I was looking for chipboard to try with my new Go Press and foil ( it foiled beautifully).I used  a whole layer of glitter cardstock on the background, and die cut a Paper Rose die in gold foil for the sentiment. The Holly is a kaisercraft die, and the stitched oval is a Paper Rose die. Little kaisercraft rhinestones for the holly berries. I have come up with all the card ideas needed for the cruise, now all that is left is to prepare all the kits. That will take quite some time with a lot of die cutting , embossing, and layers to cut.For now though I am off to gather some supplies to take with me to my craft group get together. Til tomorrow….
