Here are my last Christmas cards for this year,(I think) and all the products used are stampin up from their Christmas catalogue – so,woodland embossing folder, peaceful pines stamp set, perfect pines die set, and the father Christmas image is from the home for Christmas designer paper. I always wonder what to do with myself in the craft room after I have finished my Christmas cards – it takes me a little while to settle back into the rythym – maybe that’s just me or do other ladies feel that ? Today I went and saw my knee specialist, and thought I would be able to go back to work next week, but he said no, not for two more weeks, so I will be returning the week of Christmas. It was a big job he had to fix – split cartlidge, and needs a bit longer to heal. Thats OK – I get to spend a little bit of time in the craft room before I go back! til tomorrow….

Simple Stories Claus and Co, 9,10,11,12..

Another 4 cards made with Simple Stories Claus and Co paper collection, along with the matching washi tape and journalling cards. The great thing with this collection is all I had to add was some ribbon and bling for a bit of texture, and not even that on some of them.We will take a short break of a day or two from this collection so that I can show you some non-christmas cards just for a bit of a change! Yesterday I took a box of leftover bits and pieces over to mums, and we sat and made 20 more christmas cards to donate to the nursing home my older sister is residing in. We have started to do this, and the residents are truly grateful to be able to go to the box and pick out cards for their family members. we ( my sister and I) have only been doing this for a couple of months and already 100 cards have been put to good use. It’s great because I have finally found a terrific use for all my odds and ends.Today is another hot day here in Adelaide and the last day of my holidays, so time to polish my work shoes and dig out my uniform! til tomorrow….
Simple Stories Claus and Co 5,6,7,8..

Another 4 cards made with simple stories Claus and co, just the papers, washi tape and journalling cards from the collection.I added ribbon and bling, and die cut circles from glitter card for these ones. I like the fact that the greetings are incorporated into the paper designs in this collection. Today I have prepared a village lesson, and as I have officially stopped making christmas cards, I can now make a start on all the papers I have been buying and putting to one side. Ahh, what to choose first….til tomorrow…..
Simple Stories claus & Co 1,2,3,4…

I do like it when I see anew Simple stories collection on the shelves – i will buy one sheet of all of it and when I get it home I can sit down and make 2 dozen cards in one sitting. The papers this company release fit my style exactly. So this is their Christmas release and I bought the matching pack of washi tape style trim as well. The only things I added were some scalloped die cut circles ( from glitter card) and ribbon and a tiny bit of bling. My back is so much better today. It must have been the walking I did yesterday with my sister when we went on our day trip to Mannum to wander in and out of the shops in that country town.I am off now to the craft room to work on some January lessons … I know next year classes already! til tomorrow…..
kaisercraft silver bells, 17,18,19,20,21 and 22!

We have come back to kaisercraft Silver Bells paper colection because I know quite a few of my lovely followers have bought this collection and are enjoying seeing my creations with it. Six cards today, 3 more tomorrow and we will finally say goodbye to this one!these ones are all made from the 12 x 12 papers, collectables, and the only extra is ribbon.(Oh, there may be a little paper from the 6″ pad too, but it would be easy to substitute 12 x 12 papers).I have moved on from christmas cards for the moment, and I am playing with the new collection from Kaisercraft called sail away. It is great for male themed cards and the colours are beautiful clear red, and blue. I also bought a few of the new dies that tie in with this collection. I find I have become a little addicted to the kaisercraft dies because they cut so cleanly through my big shot machine. yesterday I spent a little time just die cutting anchors, chains and lighthouses so that I have a nice collection on the craft table, and don’t have to spend time getting up and down to die cut.Looking forward to a nice crafty session as long as my back holds out – in a bit of pain and off now to find the hot water bottle! til tomorrow….
5 christmas cards with a white theme….

The one thing all of todays’ cards have in common is the colour white!Bits and pieces used from the top – Kaisercraft reideer die ( with some glitter cardstock) and stampin up woodland embossing folder(new favourite folder), the next two are very similar, swiss dots folder on one, and kaisercraft dots folder on the other, the image is a couple of stamps from one of my stampin up christmas sets.4th card is a one layer card all done with stampin up Berry Merry stamp set and this one was directly copied from the stampin up catalogue. And last but not least the bottom card is spellbinders bauble dies, and kaisercraft merry christmas die again die cut with glitter cardstock.I think the bottom card needs a piece of embossed cardstock behind the baubles but this one was for an order which specified very simple.Sorry for posting so many today, but if we don’t start making our way through all my christmas card makes we will be still looking at them at Easter!! Today has been a lovely day – my Birthday, and Nathan and I went over to the shops this morning – first food shopping,( the butcher told me it was one of his staffs’ birthday, I wished my birthday buddy happy birthday and got a nice discount on my meat order!) and once that was done we had a meander through the shops, I bought a new handbag and book ( birthday money yeah!) and we had some lunch.Lovely day. til tomorrow…..
kaisercraft Holy night 1,2,3.

Three cards today all made with kaisercraft Holy Night. I don’t think I purchased any of this collection, so I think these 3 cards are made with scraps that I had left on my table after creating a class, as I know I did teach a class with this collection a couple of months ago.So, they would be made with the 12 x 12Â papers from the collection, and the greeti9ng on the bottom card is die cut using a kaisercraft die. I had a quick drive over to Paper Flourish this afternoon, and picked up some supplies for decembers lessons, prepared one class, and only one more to do, but tomorrow after the class I am taking I will come home and make a wedding card for an upcoming celebration, all for now…. til tomorrow…..
silver bells side stepper card
A quick post tonight, while tea is in the oven! This is my simplified version of a side stepper card. i have played around with the measurements so that it fits in a normal c6 envelope for ease of posting, and its just one cut and a few folds. I did a class with these and everyone got the gist of them very quickly! In a couple of weeks when I am on holidays Nathan and I will do a youtube video with all the measurements! In the meantime for the decoration I used Kaisercraft silver bells patterned paper, and inked all the edges with tea dye distress ink, and added a lovely silk bow, and some lace on the very back panel.Oops theres tea ready.. til tomorrow…..
stampin Up home for christmas, punches, and dies
The last few posts all have the designer paper in common, Stampin Up Home for Christmas, and this is the last one in this series for now.I have really enjoyed working with this paper as all the sheets were different from each other, with lots of fussy cutting potential, but all matched seamlessly. For todays card I fussy cut a poinsetta, and punched a couple of borders with my martha stewart border punch. I layered some paper, edged with ribbon, and die cut merry christmas with a kaisercraft die. A little cream bow finished. So quick, and easy to make quite a few at a time with this design. Taught another class today, this time over at the retirement village. The ladies are all christmas carded out so today we made some pretty female birthday cards.i am looking forward to spending alittle time in the craft room this evening, i have got some gorgeous vintage prima chrismas paper so I will be surrounded with ink, lace and ribbon. Can’t wait! til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Silver bells 5 and 6

Kaisercraft Silver bells paper collection and matching collectables. The top card has a piece of 12 x 12 paper as the background, a collectable image and the greeting is from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper. a touch of ribbon and lace completes that one. the second card has a piece from the 6″paper pad for the background and the baubles are a mix of collectables and fusy cutting from a 12 x 12 paper.collectables for the greeting, and ribbon to finish.we will take a couple of days break from this series, so next time something different! we will return to these later in the week. Another lovely weekend gone by, and its a very early start for me tomorrow, so early to bed tonight, but might still mange another hour in the craft room! til tomorrow….
