Mintay Birdsong 1, 2, and 3…

_MG_0027 (Medium)_MG_0028 (Medium)_MG_0029 (Medium)Todays three cards are made with Mintay Birdsong. Mintay is a polish paper company that i have recently been introduced to, we are using their collections a lot in classes, and I have not yet seen a collection that didn’t inspire me. The papers have lots of fussy cutting elements which is my favourite thing, but the top card has no fussy cutting , just layering of papers and a frame , flowers and flourish to decorate…(I did fussy cut the butterfly…couldn’t help myself). The second and third cards have more fussy cutting as well as some flowers and rose gold flourish die cutting. Tomorrow I am teaching some cards i designed using this paper collection and there is lots  and lots of fussy cutting involved in those cards…the ladies will love it! We will sit, relax, and snip away while we catch up with each others news..I am looking forward to it. Til tomorrow…..

Prima lavender Frost..1 and 2..

_MG_0003 (Medium)_MG_0005 (Medium)So many beautiful paper collections, so little crafting time! Today’s cards are made with Prima lavender frost range. Starting with the lower card,I layered up paper from the 6″ paper pad, and a printed vellum piece ( which was in a pack of the flowers that were released with the collection), a journaling card from the 3 x 4 lavender frost journaling cards, some fussy cutting from papers, and various flowers and leaf die cuts. The resin frame was a seven paper Dolls frame.  For the top card I cut some banners from leftover strips, and added a metal finding, and in this case the frame was one I made with a mold and some no more gaps filler from the hardware shop! I just ran over it with some Nuvo Fresh Copper mousse on my finger.

Mintay 7th heaven..

img_0957img_0959Have you all seen Mintay Paper collections? they are gorgeous and I am lucky enough to work in a craft store that stocks them…needless to say when they arrive (it’s like Christmas at work when boxes of stock arrive!) I am beside myself and always end up taking one of everything home! The collection I have used here is called 7th heaven, and we did an all day class at work with them last november, and this is one of the cards I made with my leftovers. A hint of lace, a metal piece cut in half and just peeking out from the oval die cut, and lots of lovely fussy cutting and flowers. Once made I realised this card was not going to fit in an envelope, so I sat down with my ruler and worked out measurements to make a box. I cut a window in the box and backed it with acetate so that I can still see the pretty card! I have made quite a few of these cards in boxes now, and really love the idea of giving them when I am  giving cash or a gift voucher for a birthday. I am so glad to say that mum and I brought dad home from hospital yesterday after 2 weeks of worry, a little more frail, but in good spirits and he will build himself back up now that he is home. Thank you all for your wishes and concern. Til tomorrow…..

Stampin Up Blended Seasons Stamp Set…

_mg_0023 (medium)_mg_0026 (medium)My sister gave me a stamp set by Stampin Up before Christmas and I finally found the time to ink it up, with Archival ink stamped onto watercolour paper, and colour with my zig watercolour brushes in a few different colourways. Once I had experimented with colour all that was left to do was to turn my images into cards. I just used bits and pieces of odds and ends to make these three cards.  I have been missing for a few days because I am trying to get ahead in my lesson planning as I lose a little bit of time when I go on my cruise next month. So looking forward to meeting new ladies ( and some gents) in my cruise classes!A day off today, so all the craft gear is out and I am off to do some more crafting! Til tomorrow….

Pion Days Gone By continued….

IMG_8018 (Large)IMG_8020 (Large)IMG_8022 (Large)Here are todays cards, still with Pion Days Gone By collection, beautiful soft colours in this range, and I have just added some lace and ribbon with a little fancy die cut borders . These cards didn’t need anything else, they have a lovely vintage feel about them! Its very warm here just now, I have been lazily playing in the craft room, but also enjoying the season and spending most of my free time with family. I have worked a few days in between and we have been busy putting out all our new ranges.. some gorgeous papers coming through from Mintay , Photoplay and Prima – so lots of ideas buzzing around in my head! Meantime, til tomorrow…..

Last three lemoncraft Yuletide today..

_MG_9680_MG_9682_MG_9684Today we say farewell to my Lemoncraft Paper makes, and these three are made in the same way as the cards on the previous post. I have used a lot of the molds that I made on these cards, and I painted them with prima alchemy paints. I have been busy finishing off my January classes, and they are done now so I have a little window of time to do some ” me ” crafting, and I am thinking wedding cards,I have some new stamps and dies to try out  although you know these plans could go out the window when I actually sit down to craft! Til tomorrow….

Lemoncraft yuletide continued…

_MG_8340Sorry I have been missing , but we had a computer hiccup here this week, and thank goodness it is fixed now with no loss of files! Today we are continuing on with Lemoncraft yuletide collection, which is perfect for vintage style cards.I did a bit of layering with bits of offcuts on these two, and added a ribbon to the left and a ribbon and a flourish that I made with a silicone mold and gap filler (!) and painted with prima alchemy paint.meanwhile i have finished my January lessons and have a couple of new stamp sets on my desk to play with. I have to make two male birthday cards and one of the stamp sets is perfect for both boys so that will be first on the agenda! Til tomorrow…..

Lemoncraft Yuletide paper collection..

_MG_8323 (Medium)_MG_8336 (Medium)Today we are embracing vintage with this collection from Lemoncraft called Yuletide. I have added a few interesting bits and pieces to these cards – The top card has a flourish i made with a mold and some painters caulk, and then painted with prima Alchemy paints,. I also foiled a small chipboard piece, and added some gold thread and a pearl and all my edges were inked with Tea dye distress ink. The bottom card has more of the molds I made and painted gold, a ribbon and a bit of a die cut I had lying on my desk! I have just finished working a very long two weeks with just a couple of days off, so not much time for crafting as I have been catching up on housework today, but things should get back to normal now..and it’s time for me to be thinking of my January lessons – wow the new year already! til tomorrow….

Stampin Up Santas Workshop..

_MG_8343 (Medium)_MG_8344 (Medium)_MG_8345 (Medium)Here are some more fun Christmas cards I have made with Stampin Up Santas workshop collection. I have added the bare minimum of embellishing to this group of cards, the papers are already embossed and / or glittered, and I have just fussy cut extra layers for some 3 D effects.  I have finished my Christmas makes for this year,( but have so many more to show you ) and normally at this stage I pack up all the Christmas for next year, but this paper is staying out and I will continue to make cards with it throughout the year, it is so much fun to work with! Til tomorrow……

Stampin Up Christmas 2018..

IMG_8109 (Large)IMG_8112 (Large)IMG_8113 (Large)Todays Christmas cards use all Stampin Up supplies from their seasonal catalogue. I have used the chicken wire, washi tape, ribbon, and stamps ( stamp set is called Joy and Noel, and I coloured with Copic markers) and the corregated pieces behind are embossed with Stampin Ups new corregated embossing folder..this will be a favourite used all year round! It has been a busy week with work, and at home I have moved my craft room so that my second son can move back home for a short while, as he relocates from Sydney back to Adelaide for work. It was an eye opener to move that craft room and realise how much supplies I have gathered over the years. Time to start using all of it! Til tomorrow…..
