A little break from all things Christmas today. I recently had the pleasure of roadtesting some new Kaisercraft dies for my local craft shop – Paper flourish, and one of the dies is featured here on todays card. I was most impressed with the quality of the dies, and particularly liked the way they fell off the die without very much persuasion at all! Here I have used it as it was intended – just die cut a couple of feathers and inked around the edges. On other cards I used the negative cut to sponge through onto my paper( which worked brilliantly) and ran other feathers through the die cutting machine in an embossing folder which also worked a treat, so lots of use from this die!The bird stamp on this card is by oxford impressions, and the flower is Prima. sentiment stamp, ribbon and linen thread are all from stampin up. til tomorrow….

The last fabscraps Vintage Christmas

Thank you to everyone who sent me wishes on hearing my Dad wasn’t well. Thankfully he is back to his normal self now, and just resting at home.Cards today are the last few I made with Fabscraps Christmas paper. For these ones I just focused on the paper, and added some chipboard, seam binding, lace buttons and bling.I taught a lovely class of ladies this morning – it was just the tonic I needed after a stressful couple of days, and I am hoping to see the inside of my craft room over the next couple of days because I am so far behind with my Christmas cards, still have about 100 to do, so its going to be a big push to get them all done this year. Til tomorrow….
fabscraps vintage xmas

I have been missing for a day or two because I have been busy with my dad – he took ill and was admitted to hospital, but I brought him home this morning and he is back to his cheeky self, so much relieved!I have posted a few cards to make up for it though and these are all made with a couple of sheets of Fabscraps xmas paper. One sheet was entirely tags so I made good use of them and that stretched the paper to make quite a lot of cards. I have added assorted ribbon, lace and charms to finish.Today is going to be a lazy day catching up on some lost sleep. til tomorow…..

These are the only cards I have made with this paper so far -I keep getting distracted!it is a lovely vintage paper though, and hopefully I get back to it before Christmas! All I had to add to it was ribbon and lace.Today was my first day of holidays, but it was all about spring cleaning today, best to get it all out of the way at the beginning of my short break and look forward to crafting later in the week. Kaisercraft garage days number 6
A quick and easy one today – Kaisercraft garage days and stampin up totally tools stamp set. I didnt want to cut the image down to fit my card front so I left it just a little bit higher than the card front. I thought I would loose too much of the effect if I cut it down and it turned out ok!nothing else on this one except the fussy cut badge in the bottom right hand corner. Got to love doing mens cards card with a minimum of fuss!I have taken a break from planning out my village lesson – just one more card to do, and already my mind is wandering, thinking about which paper collection I am going to play with next – I have a lot that I haven’t cut into yet because I have been so busy with xmas cards, but I am going to take a break from them and create something different – my boys ( and husband) are putting on a wrestling show tonight so I have hours of uninterrupted card making ahead of me .. bliss…. til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft garage days 4 and 5

I went deep into the blog archives to see what cards I had previously posted using this paper ( kaisercraft garage days) only to find that I had only posted a couple before now. This is terrible – it means somewhere in that craft room there is a lot of paper for men that has not been utilised. This is an oversight that will have to be remedied – maybe this weekend!I have a class to prepare, and more christmas cards to make, but I am sure I can fit in some mens makes somehow!Todays cards are a little dark – I think the shiny properties of the top card played havoc witgh nathans camera, but hopefully you get the idea. The stamps for the tools are from Stampin up – old ones I think called Totally tool. These are great for mens cards and you may still be able to get them on e-bay .Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Garage Days
I had to do some mens cards this month,so the first paper I reached for was Kaisercraft Garage Days, although I don’t have a great deal of choice – mens themed paper seems to be the hardest to find.here I have combined it with some tool stamps which I got a few years ago from Stampin Up so I am not sure if they are still available.I have also used a few of the matching collectables, and stampin up cardstock. Must run – work is calling…til tomorrow….
papaya collage stampin up stamp set
Every now and again my ink pads call to me, and I stamp my heart out! This happened the other day with this stamp set from stampin Up. It’s called Papaya Collage, and all the stamped elements on this card ( except the sentiment and script in the background ) came from this set.I layered up a couple of pieces of cardstock, and stamped and fussy cut until I was happy with the result.I added a dove charm, ribbon bow and pearls to finish. Today has been another stamping day – christmas this time -and next week when I am on holidays Nathan and I will do some photoing.Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Mint Twist …more..

These are definitely quick and easy cards, most of them just use a couple of the collectables from Kaisercraft Mint twist, and very little paper and extra embellishments have been used at all, so perfect for selling in packs and totally different style to what I usually do!.Today I have been busy with Nathan filming a clip for the paper flourish blog which will be posted on Wednesday. I had some lovely things to play with – some new kaisercraft dies and some of this months Tropical Punch paper from Kaisercraft.Nathan has just told me he has finished the editing so I am off to see how it turned out. Til tomorrow….
