After all the lacy, frilly, flowery cards I have been sharing lately I thought it was time to show you some Mens cards which I have recently made. The papers I have used are from Kaisercraft called Hunt and gather and they were a release from a couple of years ago! I don’t have much left so thought I should just use it and finish with it On the top card I fussy cut the fish images from the paper, stuck them on some cardstock, and ran that through my big shot in an embossing folder ( stampin up). This is a technique called embedded embossing and I love the effect, you will notice it quite often on my cards. For the second card I stamped my fisherman onto a variety of patterned and coloured papers, then cut out bits and pieces of him, and stuck him all together again – I also like doing this technique because I can give him a patterned shirt etc doing it this way instead of colouring the image.Til tomorrow….

more mothers day cards – Kaisercraft Cottage Rose..

Another Mothers day card, this time using kaisercrafts new release paper Cottage Rose. This is my kind of paper, and for this gatefold card I have used the 6″ pad. The panel on the front is from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper, and I have used Prima flowers to decorate. I have included 2 photos so that you can see ( sort of) how I decorated the inside panel as well. All the little leaves and twiggy branches were die cut with a great new die from kaisercraft – I love it, and all my scrap green papers are now die cut with it and stored in a container on my desk so that I always have foilage at my fingertips! Today is Village lesson day, so I must head to the craft room to get all my gear together, and remind myself what we are making- tomorrow I will post pictures of the cards the ladies created.Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft My cherie thank you..11 and 12…

Here are the last two cards made with Kaisercraft my cherie, for the meantime anyway! These ones are thank you cards – I have made a huge range of cards with different sentiments with this collection, so it’s a great one for all round cards. The top card has a mix of 6′ pad papers and 12 x 12 papers, and the bottom card uses just the 6″ pad.I found some flowers in the bottom of a drawer, wound some silver thread in the back ground and finished off with a big bow and fussy cut butterfly. My roast is in the oven, my shopping list written out for this week, and now I am going to round up Nathan and his camera and take some photos of my latest makes ready to post!I must take this opportunity to welcome all my new followers, thank you for joining us, feel free to comment and join in crafty conversations! Another Thinking of you card using kaisercraft My Cherie paper collection. the background paper is from the 6″ pad, and the sentiment and butterfly are cut from 12 x 12 papers from the same collection, with a few flowers added.I rounded the right hand corners to fit in with the curved lines of the sentiment. Tomorrow i have a couple of thank you cards from the same collection, and then we will move on to some Mothers day cards as that is just around the corner. We have a lovely lovely weekend here weather wise, and I have spent some lovely hours just sitting in the back yard in the sun, a lazy weekend! Kaisercract Ma Cherie 8 and 9…
A change of pace today with a couple of thinking of you cards made with kaisercraft ma Cherie paper collection. I fussy cut the flower sprays from a sheet of 12 x 12 paper, and the lovely embossed paper on the background id from the 6 ” pad, as is the greeting and butterfly.very similar cards – subtle differences – the background papers are two different papers, and the cardstock used are two different shades of grey. This morning I was digging through my graphic 45 paper looking for special papers to use for a village lesson, and I need a lot of the same paper as my ladies want to learn how to make a bendy card and graphic 45 is the only paper I have in large quantities – mainly because once home with it I find it very difficult to cut into – I love it that much!Going through it all Ideas were springing from everywhere – I will never have enough time to make everything I want to, but at least I have realised the time has come to use this paper! So any spare time this weekend will be spent with Graphic 45!Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft coastal escape 1,2 and 3

A beach theme today with the wonderful papers from Kaisercraft – coastal escape. All the cards here are made with just a couple of the 12 x 12 sheets, and they were a lesson I taught a couple of months ago at paper Flourish. The trim is by Green tara, and the large happy birthday die is from kaisercraft, the smaller one is by spellbinders. The bottom card is a great sketch idea to use up those little strips we always have left over!My voice has come back, and I am starting to feel more like normal again, just a s well really, I need a ll my energy to chase after that puppy who has developed an obssession with my balls of wool. No amount of telling off will put her off, and yesterday she had unravelled 3 balls all through the house.I must invest in a zip up bag that she can’t get into! Til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft My Cherie card in a box
Quick post today as I am back to the work routine! This is the last Kaisercraft My Cherie for now,as I said I have a lot of this paper so it will pop up again…I did a card in a box, fussy cut the butterflies from one of the 12 x 12 sheets, and stuck them on thin strips of acetate. The paper on the actual box is from the 6″ pad. Kaisercraft Ma Cherie 5 and 6…

Two cards today, both with the same decoration, but one done portrait style, and one done landscape style. Background papers are from the Kaisercraft Ma Cherie 6″ pad. The interesting thing about these two cards …On yesterdays card when I die cut the printed sentiment from the 12 x 12 paper I was left with a spotted frame with a hole in the middle, so for todays’ cards I die cut a circle from more patterned paper to fit the hole, rounded the corner with a fancy corner punch from Stampin Up, and used that to create my focal point – I just had to add a fussy cut butterfly ( this collection has a whole sheet of gorgeous butterflies on it to fussy cut!), some liquid pearls on the top card and gorgeous rose trim on the bottom card. After spending my crafting time this week making mens cards I am ready to break out the lace, flowers, ribbons, pearls and create some vintage cards with my new Prima papers – can not wait!! but first Nathan and I have to go and photograph aforementioned mens cards. til tomorrow……
Kaisercraft Ma Cherie number 4
I have some more Kaisercraft Ma Cherie cards to show you. This first one is simply a panel of 12 x 12 paper on top of a card blank ( stampin up cardstock), and I die cut a piece of the card front 12 x 12 papers with a circle die, die cut a scalloped circle ( spellbinders classic scalloped circles) and added flowers, ribbon and a couple of fussy cut betterflies. I knew I had bought this paper, but I searched high and low and couldn’t find it so I bought it all over again, then found the original purchase! I now have lots of this paper, luckily its a beautiful paper range and since making this group of cards I have pulled it out again and it is currently on my desk ready for new ideas this weekend!Til tomorrow….
Mum and dads 60th wedding anniversary card
Today I am showing you the card I have made for Mum and dads 60th wedding anniversary which is next week. I used Kaisercraft true Romance papers, and fussy cut a lot of the flowers and just stuck them on with double sided tape. The 60 you can glimpse amongst the flowers and foilage was die cut with the Kaisercraft numbers dies with glitter card. There are tabs cut into the card to give it its curved shape, but you can fold it flat for the envelope.I went around all my edges with spun sugar distress ink. I must be off now, I have to find a suitable verse to put inside! Til tomorrow….
