Male card – gone fishing…

For a bit of a change I thought I would show this humorous card I made using a stamp set I found while on holidays last year in a little craft shop down the coast. The brand name is Sullivans, and I haven’t seen it anywhere else, but it has some great images in the set, including this one of a rather unlucky fisherman! The papers I used were Kaisercraft Hunt and gather, and I stamped the fisherman a few times, and paper pieced him back together to get this effect. This is my favourite way of stamping.Today I have been making more Mothers Day cards with my new papers, but no photos yet as my photographer has been tied up all weekend with photos for their wrestling shows. They had 2 in a row this weekend, so he has been super busy. Now to organise tea, and then maybe another hour in the craft room.. Til tomorrow….

The Open Sea

While we are on a bit of a roll with mens cards, I thought I would post this one I made, using all stampin Up supplies. The stamp set is called the open sea, and I used sahara sand, cherry cobbler and not quite navy cardstock, and the same in ink. I tied some bakers twine down one side. A day off tomorrow and I am certainly looking forward to that! I will be doing a fair ammonut of crafting – I have a Mothers day cards marathon to attend, and a couple of orders to fulfill. Shopping tonight, so no crafting tonight.. Til tomorrow….

Sweet Nothings male card

Here is a male card i made using one of the kaisercraft sweet nothings12 x 12 sheet of paper and a couple of the collectables. The Happy Birthday is Stampin Up perfectly penned. Simple but effective! A very productive day today, finished one order, and just a couple more to do … Hopefully this weekend I will make some cards to photo, otherwise we will have nothing to show on my blog next week!Tonight I am teaching a class over at the retirement village and looking forward to that. Til tomorrow….

Cuttlebug card no.6

A very early post today as I have a retirement village class tonight. I found some Basic Grey paper that I have had for a long time ( Basic grey Mellow) and thought it would make a great male card. I teamed it up with my sizzix rosettte die, and my new nestabilities nested lacey pennants. The cardstock I used was stampin Up early Espresso, and the ribbon and bakers twine are also from Stampin Up. The greetings stamps used were from stampin Up sets – birthday whimsy and riveting. Til tomorrow….

The open Sea…

I have abandoned my sweet nothing series for a while as we have filled a whole week with them and I thought it was time for a change of scenery, so today I want to show a card I have made with my most recent Stampin Up purchase. It is a stamp set from their new mini catalogue called The Open sea, and I have used the matching designer papers called Nautical Expedition. I stamped all the images with Chocolate Chip ink.Not much more to this one! I have spent the afternoon at Mums making some Boy type cards, as I have neglected them lately!  Time for tea, so Til tomorrow….

Sweet Nothings 5 ( a male Card)

I am still using kaisercraft sweet Nothings collections, and in keeping with my resolution of trying to make a male card out of these beautiful girlie papers I keep buying , this is what I have come up with for todays cards. The paper is the 12 x 12 version of kaisercraft sweet Nothings, and I also used the matching Collectables, and some Kaisercraft printed acetate and Tim Holtz game spinners. I used the tim Holtz Umbrella Man die – isn’t he great-, and added a quote that I particularly like. I came home from teaching my Paper flourish lesson full of good crafting intentions, had a lay down on the bed and woke up to find it was 4 o’clock – all those early 4.30 am mornings must be catching up with me ! Maybe I will do something tonight in the craft room – Til tomorrow…..

Another male card

This is a stamp from Hooked on Craft that I found on my recent holiday. It was great to colour, using my aqua brush and an assortment of stampin up pads. The cardstock is also stampin up and the paper is Kaisercraft Up Up and Away. I will be doing more with this stamp, more stamping and colouring altogether as my village ladies are all keen to learn how to colour. Great fun will be had by all of us next lesson! Thats the end of the working week for me, a very busy first week back at work, and I am looking forward to a couple of days off. Market day tomorrow, always enjoyable…. Til tomorrow…..

Happy Fathers Day

Here is a Fathers day card which would also suit any Gardeneners in the family. I used Websters pages Farmers market paper ( lovely collection, and I haven’t begun to do it justice yet) and Stampin Up Pumpkin Pie cardstock. last night while I had the house to myself I pulled out all my cardstock scraps and made my colour chart pinboard which Nathan photoed this morning and as soon as he loads the photos onto the computer I will post it. I’m really glad I did it, and I can see it’s going to be invaluable already. Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 fathers day card

As its fathers day on Sunday, I thought i had better get back to showing any fathers day cards I have left in the queue! For this one I have used kaisercraft Timeless – script rof the background, and Graphic 45 A proper Gentleman for the image and tag. the cardstock is stampin up – early espresso.Today i was over at paper flourish making up my October lesson, and while there I picked up the most gorgeous laced printed acetate, and some luscious soft satin ribbon. They are sitting on my craft table along with some lace and stick pins, and I have lots of ideas swirling around, so thats the plan for tonight! Til tomorrow….

Another fathers day card

Here is another Fathers day card, using Kaisercraft Hunt and gather 6″paper pad, and a stampin up vintage brad.  quick and simple!  a late post for me tonight, as its my late finishing day at work, and I probably won’t go into the craft room tonight as I’m a bit tired. Til tomorrow….
