We are jumping all over the place this month, but I found a baby Boy card I made with kaisercraft Little one paper and collectables that I forgot to post.I used and elephant collectable on a card front from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper and glued on some buttons, fibbon bow and linen thread.Love the elephants in this collection! Today I was over at Mum and dads and put together some cards which I will finish in a couple of weeks when I go to our ( a few crafty friends and myself) craft afternoon get together. I have decided if I have everything ready to stick together I might actually get something done rather than just chat the afternoon away, although that is fun too!I have a few orders to do tonight and I want to get them done quickly because I have a big bundle of new stampin up stuff to play with. The Christmas papers are gorgeous and I have many ideas for them. Also have lots of new stamps, ribbon, embossing folders and dies.Today has been a glorious day here in Adelaide, and I have even had the air conditioner on for a little while, that’s the earliest in the season it’s ever been on so I wonder if we are in for a long hot summer?Til tomorow….

Qick and easy Christmas card
Here is a quick and easy Christmas card using non-christmas bits and pieces. Die cut ( or punch) a circle, punch out a handful of leaves, stick them around the circle, add sequins, a ribbon bow and a happy christmas sticker and done! You could step it up by adding an embossed or patterned paper layer underneath, but some of my customers like the simple ones for their xmas cards which is why this one was made. I am back in the craft room this afternoon making more christmas cards with the kaisercraft silver bells collection. This paper collection is my favourite so far this season, and the ideas keep coming! Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Little One 2..
Kaisercraft Little one paper collection – the 6″ pad and matching collectables with a touch of ribbon! I really enjoyed playing with this collection, although i have only made a few cards so far, they are very different from my usual vintage style baby cards. Love the colours! today I am finally enjoying some time in the craft room, finding my chriatmas mojo. It’s all coming back to me! The weather here is very distracting, the sun is shining, the bees are buzzing about and blossom is exploding on some of the fruit trees, it’s lovely just sitting out in the garden feeling the sun on my face! til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 time to celebrate double easel card
What lovely weather we had for a short time today! It was lovely to feel the sun on my face, although it has grown rather overcast now, I am glad to have had the opportunity to get all my washing dried! I taught a full class of 18 this morning with 5 new cardmakers as well, so I was very busy, but so enjoyable! Talking of classes , todays cards are actually a couple of cards we did in a previous class of mine. Paper is graphic 45 Time to celebrate, and they are double easel cards. No other embellishing necessary, just the papers, a fair bit of fussy cutting, and a couple of ribbon bows.Looking forward to this weekend, when I will be making a start on Octobers lessons. Time is flying – it will be Christmas before we know it, and that will be the theme for October! Til tomorrow….
Bo bunny Madeleleine 3 and a conversation about scissors
Bo Bunny madeleine collection, fussy cut bird detail and some strategically placed ribbon bows and lace!. I was asked an interesting question today by a blog visitor, and I thought I would take some time to answer and add some tips as well. I use Fiskars scissors when I am fussy cutting – not your normal fingers through the holes type scissors though, I use the squeeze type, mainly because I don’t get tennis elbow with these type of scissors. I was suffering badly from tennis elbow with the amount of fussy cutting I do when I used the normal style scissors. My scissors are not cheap, but I am only on my second pair in over ten years of fussy cutting, so value for money I think. Other scissor related facts – I have my one pair for fussy cutting, I have a pair of surgical scissors( very sharp) for ribbon, lace and material, and a pair of very cheap normal scissors for cutting anything sticky. other cutting tools… my fiskars trimmer which has been with me from the very beginning is in my take everywhere craft bag, and my stampin up trimmer and making Memeories rotary trimmer are on my desk in the craft room. The rotary trimmer is for cutting my cardstock as I make all my own card bases and I have had it for about 7 years now and never had to replace a blade, and the stampin up trimmer is for everything else. I like it because I can also score on it and it has handy measurements on it which almost makes my ruler redundant! hope this helps … til tomorrow….
Bo Bunny madeleine 2.
For this one I rounded all my corners, inked all my edges and fussy cut one fo the frames from a piece of the paper from the Bo Bunny Madeleleine collection as well as the bird cage and bird. I ran a piece of lace around the bottom of the card and tied a ribbon into a bow for the top of the cage. all good intentions to spend the evening in the card room while everyone is out tonight, but it is really cold through there so it might be an evening in front of the tv and heater! til tomorrow….
Bo Bunny madeleine 1.
Todays card is made with Bo Bunny Madeleine paper. I love the soft colours of this paper, and here I have done a bit of fussy cutting and layering and added some lovely satin ribbon a pearls to finish. recently in the craft room I have been gathering my Christmas supplies to make a start on Christmas cards, but it must be too early even for me because I just keep procrastinating and I haven’t achieved anything. I will give it one last go this weekend and if there is no results i will leave it for another month! Til tomorrow….
The last 2 Graphic 45 a ladies diary cards
Here are the last two cards made with graphic 45 A ladies Diary with a bit of baby to bride and le romantique mixed in there too I think. I have done these last two as double easel cards – my favourite card shape when using graphic 45 paper, and the best bit is they fold down flat to fit in a normal c6 envelope.some fussy cutting, chipboard pieces, lace and ribbon, and that’s most of this fabulous paper used!early morning starts again this week, so I am going now to have a bit of a nanna nap! til tomorrow….
