BoBunny Butterfly Kisses

_MG_1163 (Medium)_MG_1200 (Medium)_MG_1202 (Medium)_MG_1203 (Medium)Another group of cards I made while I was supposed to be cleaning up the craft room… What can I say, I am easily distracted. After I made the first card ( and these were quick cards…no hunting around for bits of lace and ribbon..everything was found where I was sitting..) I decide that this paper lent itself perfectly to the double zigzag shaped card, so the remaining three were done in that style. I have since filmed a youtube clip showing you how easy this card is to create. You should be able to find the link over there on the right…maybe click on the three little dots… Nathan has been playing with my site so you may notice a couple of upgrades! Til next time, stay safe…..

Uniquely Creative Winter Rose 1 and 2….

IMG_2188IMG_2190This weekend i received my new Uniquely Creative Winter Rose collection in the mail, so everything was put on hold while I fussycut elements, gathered matching cardstock and flowers and started to create! These are the very first two cards I made, using papers, creative cuts, and on the happy birthday card a glitter die cut using Uniquely Creative Flourish die, and a clear dome in the flower centre. The second card is all ready for dads fathers day card.. being scottish he will love the stag! I am off now to make more with this stunning paper collection! Til next time, stay safe…

A Scrap of Kaisercraft..

_MG_1170 (Medium)_MG_1172 (Medium)During the great paper clean up I found just a scrap of a collection. It’s by Kaisercraft but I can’t remember the name of the collection, but I stopped my cleaning and made two quick cards just because I couldn’t bring myself to throw away the scraps. Lots of layers and a bit of fussy cutting, a handmade frame on the lower card and some perfect pearl drops on the top card. I hope you are all coping with isolation, I have had a cold this week so haven’t done very much. I’m feeling a bit better today, so I am heading into the kitchen to make a big pot of soup. Our local greengrocer is doing home deliveries and it’s the highlight of our week to get lovely fresh fruit and vegetables delivered to our door! Til next time, stay safe…..

Last of the Kaisercraft Ladylike…for now…

_MG_1189 (Medium)_MG_1191 (Medium)These are the last two kaisercraft Ladylike cards I have made. I have a little paper left which will be used in the fullness of time but I have used all the matching collectables etc.. The top card makes used of some fussy cut elements and I die cut an oval from an old book. It’s time for make do and craft…nothing is safe when I can’t spend money on craft stuff as we don’t know what is still ahead of us! There is a pretty metal butterfly added to that one, while the bottom card is the last of the collectables from the Ladylike collection, and I added some flowers and a foil die cut leaf. I have done a lot of crafting this week and I am so glad to have this hobby that allows me to retreat into a very special crafting space. Stay safe, til next time,

Mens Cards..

_MG_1175 (Medium)_MG_1176 (Medium)_MG_1178 (Medium)There comes a time in every cardmakers calender when they have to do mens cards and mine was this week when it was time to book my June craft fair spot. Mens cards are always last on the list! This year I had some new dies to use so made it a lot easier, and I had my very old stamps which are dug out every year, stamped and coloured and teamed up with newer purchases to refresh the look. I kept the general layout very plain cos blokes really don’t like fussy! Next Saturday I have our first crafty girls gathering of the year so I have been very busy organising that and I am so looking forward to catching up with all the girls. Til next time….

A technique…

IMG_2114IMG_2117I was busy yesterday preparing a project and found I didn’t have the correct shade of carsdstock I needed to look like the rivets on a jeans pocket, so I thought I would make my own! I used Prima Metallique acrylic paints on some white cardstock and it worked a treat! The Brass hardware paint was the right fit for my project, but have lots of these little pots of goodness so I will be doing this more often for my projects that require a more bespoke colour for little die cut bits. Why buy more cardstock when I can make my own? In other unrelated news our pear tree has once again been prolific and today is pear stewing day..I will be found in the kitchen up to my elbows in all thing pear !

A Boys Card..

_MG_1174 (Medium) A quick boys card today with some dies that I sourced, cut in a few different colours of stampin up cardstock and googly eyes added. The papers are old bits that I stumbled on while sorting out stash , which led to the making of this card…see how I get distracted? As you can guess the great destash continues….will it ever end? Til next time…

Uniquely Creative Urban Garden 3, 4 and 5….

_MG_1153 (Medium)_MG_1156 (Medium)_MG_1158 (Medium) Today’s cards are thre more I made using Uniquely Creative Urban garden paper collection. There is a multitude of opportunities for fussy cutting with this collection and i took full advantage! I did a little layering with stampin up cardstock, and on the bottom card added a ribbon bow, some lace and a clear cabishon in the centre of the big flower. The die I used is a Uniquely Creative Stitching rectangle die, and I hand cross stitched the greetings on each card with some embroidery thread I had in my sewing box. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting sewing these as I watched tv, and will do that more often! The big clean up continues, in between organising our crafting get together and planning something big to share in a couple of months! Til next time…

Uniquely Creative Urban garden 1 and 2..

_MG_1190 (Medium)_MG_1193 (Medium)I have thoroughly enjoyed creating with this paper collection from Uniquely Creative called Urban Garden because it is gorgeous and right up my alley with lots of fussy cutting but also because a good friend of mine designed it! She is an amazing artist and that shows through all the beautiful designs in the collection. I used a uniquely creative die on the top card called stitching rectangle frame die, and I used it more in the next three cards which I will post next time.I added little clear cabishons in the middle of the flowers, did some fussy cutting and that was it for that one. The second card is lots of layering with some Stampin Up cardstock and patterned paper. IMG_2085 (2)

Yesterday I spent an enjoyable afternoon playing with my new Uniqolour water markers. They are also by Uniquely Creative, are really easy to use and I now have some images ready to turn into cards today! Til next time…..

Mintay Bloomville…

_MG_1088 (Medium)_MG_1098 (Medium)Mintay Bloomville is a gorgeous paper collection, with glorious colours to work with. Lots of fussy cutting opportunities, but I only did a little bit for these two cards. As with every Mintay collection there is a sheet of really pretty mini card fronts and they are what I used for the focus here. As usual when I am working with any Mintay I did lots of layering..I like to get as much of the different paper on one card as I can ..lol… The only extra I added was the little oval metal on the second card and the sentiments. I have added a photo my  little Luna, who waits patiently for me to move from the crafting table and play with her.. Til next time…._MG_1077 (Medium)
