Uniquely creative Wise and Free 3 and 4..

IMG_2019IMG_2020 I was sitting in the craft room doing some die cutting, but the heat was too much..it’s 10:30 am here and already 32C and more than a little bit humid, so I have moved to a cooler part of the house.Todays cards continue our series of Uniquely creative paper collection, matching Creative cuts, and assorted pretty bling . The owls on the top card have little clear resin domes over their eyes, and i have inked all my edges with Frayed Burlap distress ink. There is also a chipboard feather on the top card which I painted with Nuvo platinum mousse. i am now revising my crafty plans for today, I think I will stamp out some images, dig out my copics and sit under the air con vent! Til next time….

Kaisercraft ladylike 5, 6, and 7..

_MG_1115 (Medium)_MG_1118 (Medium)_MG_1119 (Medium)_MG_1120 (Medium)I am back after a little break when I enjoyed a lovely cruise, and taught many lovely ladies in a series of craft classes. Now I am madly chasing my tail catching up on so many things that need to be done before Christmas day, but it was all worth it! Todays cards are from a set I made with Kaisercraft ladylike collection – the 6″ pad and just one sheet of the 12 a 12 from the same colection ( the one with the roses all over it with lots of fussy cutting opportunities!) I trimmed the front of the top card down so that you can see some of the inside and decorated that as well, as you can see from the second photo. I added bead trim and lace to that one and one of my homemade resin birds. The other two cards are very simple and just rely on the papers, and a little layering. Next time we will move along to something different…til then…..

Kaisercraft Ladylike 2, 3, and 4..

_MG_1095 (Medium)_MG_1096 (Medium)_MG_1097 (Medium)Todays cards are made with kaisercraft ladylike 6″ pad, and matching collectables. I only bought one of the 12 x 12 sheets..the one with all the roses on it.. a fussy cutters dream paper! I have added lots of lovely lace, flowers and die cut branches and leaves. I love the colours of this paper, and have just made and made with it. I will be missing for a week or two, as my cruise leaves on Monday. I have already packed my cruise class suitcase and I am looking forward to meeting lots of lovely crafters. I will be back! til next time….

Mintay Together..

_MG_1051 (Medium)_MG_1053 (Medium)Two cards today made with Mintay by Carole Together 12 x 12 paper collection. The top card has lots of fussy cutting, and I have just added a few fabric flowers in the lower left corner, as well as a sentiment. The lower card still has a little fussy cut elements, but has more added bits…lace, a chipboard corner ,white die cut leaves, some more flowers, and an extra layer. the chipboard corner blends in better in real life! I have had a lovely crafty week, but now all the cards I have made need inserts as a finishing touch, so that is my job today! Til next time….

MIntay Bloomville..

IMG_1586IMG_1588IMG_1590IMG_1592I have had the best fun making cards with Mintay Bloomville paper collection.. I have used nothing but the papers and some cardstock and layering for these ones, and lots of fussy cutting! I haven’t done any crafting this weekend – my son is visiting from Sydney and we had a wedding to attend yesterday. It’s been a busy weekend. This week I am officially packing all the Christmas craft supplies back into the craft storage in the shed, finalising the cruise lesson packing, and then can concentrate on my craft fair boxes..I have to sort through them all and see what is needed in them. That’s me sorted for the week! Til next time…..

An Assortment of Christmas cards..

_MG_0382 (Medium)_MG_0388 (Medium)_MG_0398 (Medium)_MG_0402 (Medium) Todays cards use an assortment of embossing folders, dies and a little bit of older Stampin Up christmas paper. When Stampin Up brought out this range of paper a couple of years ago I loved it so much a bought a bit more than I needed, so I have a nice supply of these cute deers, and the little village houses. I have used glitter paper, and they all came together so easily. This is my favourite kind of card making..little scenes…and also shows how easy it is to combine Christmas stash with ordinary embossing folders and dies. I have finished with Christmas card making now, and this week have been playing with some gorgeous Mintay papers for an upcoming project. I am hoping this week to get a bit more crafting done,  I have got so many papers still not cut into and i have to start thinking about filling my boxes for the craft fair next year!! Til next time….

Assorted Christmas cards..

_MG_0380 (Medium)_MG_0391 (Medium)_MG_0424 (Medium)These three cards were made with lots of bits and pieces left on my desk after other projects. The top card has a bauble die, embossed background, my Merry Christmas die, and ribbon. The second card is a favourite design of mine – all white, a little embossing, and minimal stamping. The third card has some washi tape, music paper, one layer of a poinsettia die with a holly leaf on top and again the merry christmas die. All of these cards are perfect if you are making quite a few cards the same. Today my job in the craft room is to prepare the inserts for all my Christmas cards… a job I always seem to leave til last! Til next time….

Prima Christmas in the Country part 2…

IMG_1484IMG_1485IMG_1486Here are the other three cards I made with Prima Christmas in the Country. I made these ( and the previous three cards) as a pack for my ladies, so there are six different papers out of the A4 paper pad, a few Prima holly branches ( gorgeous), a couple of metals and some cardstock. They are very simple to put together and I love the vintage feel! This week i have had a break from crafting as I did painting of a different nature and painted nathans bedroom. I am clearly a very messy painter as I am still trying to remove the splatters from my arms, legs and even toes!! Today I am looking forward to resuming my usual seat at my craft desk! til next time….

Prima Christmas in the Country..

IMG_1481IMG_1482IMG_1483We are deep into Christmas card making now and these are cards I made with my second Christmas paper purchase..Prima Christmas in the country. I just used the A4 pad, and did some fussy cutting. With the addition of a holly die, some Prima holly leaves, lace, metals and some matting these cards came together easily. I have moved away from papers now and have started doing some die cutting and embossing to make full use of all my Christmas dies – those ones will be up after next week when we finish with the Prima! Til next time….

More Stamperia Pink Christmas…

IMG_1566IMG_1565IMG_1564IMG_1563Stamperia Pink Christmas continued today and this paper lends itself to as much or as little bits and pieces that you want to use. The top card is a gatefold design, so the inside has a bit of decoration as well. I have die cut some circles a little bigger than the paper images for matting . The third card has no extra bits, just the gorgeous paper and on the others I have used all sorts of bits and pieces that were hanging around on my craft table! This week has been wet and windy here so lots of time spent at the craft table..I have taken out all my christmas papers from years gone by and I am determined this year to use some of that instead of all new papers! We will see how that goes…. til next time…
