Creating with Kays goodies..

IMG_0324 (Medium)I always enjoy going over to my sister Kays craft room, because she has so much more goodies than I do! ( I know!!), and she often says play with this and see what you come up with. On this particular day it was a Stampin Up die called Detailed Floral thinlet, and these were two of my creations. I used Night of navy and whisper white cardstock, and popped some gold card behind some of the detail on the card on the right, and followed the shape of the die cut on the card on the left for a bit of a border effect, white ribbon, touch of bling and a rose flower to finish off these rather elegant cards! Today I have been over at mums showing Mum and Kay how to watercolour with inks..this was necessary beacause Kay will be accompanying me on my cruise, and I am relying on her to help me teach my classes so she must know what we are doing!Anyway we had great fun,and now I am looking forward to spending an hour or so in the craft room after tea where I have a couple of orders to put together…til tomorrow….

It is my Great nephews second birthday soon and he is crazy for Dinosaurs. When I was at the craft fair I found a couple of sheets of patterned paper by Hobby Fun Co ltd which fit the bill nicely.I bought 2 sheets and managed to make 10 cards from them, some of which are shown here. No extra embellishments, just a bit of layering. Today i have my Mature Ladies class over at Paper Flourish and I am so looking forward to catching up with my ladies, so i must be off and get prepared! Til tomorrow….

Too Early for Christmas cards?

IMG_0326 (Medium)IMG_0308 (Medium)Is it too early for christmas cards? I was over at my sisters craft room a few weeks ago playing with all her new stampin Up products, and I made this card with some scrap cardstock and a couple of dies from the stampin up die sets – Birds and blooms, and Flourish, It wasn’t until I had made it that I thought it might be ok for christmas , I see though that the bling has moved around a bit so will fix that before I add it to the christmas box! And today a photo of a sleepy Luna, she was hanging around when we were taking the card photos!Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 safari adventure 2…

IMG_0342 (Medium)Quick post today, Graphic 45 Safari Adventure.I layered a piece of the green patterned paper from the collection onto my card base, trimmed back the image, fussy cut a tag from another piece of the collection, and stuck on a button ( which looking at the photo appears to have slipped down a bit – will have to check that!Meanwhile imagine the button on the top of the tag!!)Til tomorrow….

Stampin Up Tuscan Vineyard continued..

IMG_0322 (Medium)IMG_0323 (Medium)Here are the other two cards I made with all stampin up supplies, and the Tuscan Vineyard stamp set.The top card has an interesting background – I created an oval mask and then rolled over the vanilla cardstock with suede ink and a sponge roller. The resulting background looks like a sandstone wall which fits in perfectly with the theme of the card.Quick post today as I have just accepted a job on a cruise ship for a 7 day trip as an arts/crafts instructor and I have to plan out the lessons. Great excitement here, but will have to wait until March for the trip!Til tomorrow…

Tuscan Vineyard stampin up set..

IMG_0320 (Medium)IMG_0321 (Medium)I think I mentioned the other day that I would post some stamped cards, here are a couple of them and we will continue with them next post as well. All of these cards are made with one stamp set from Stampin up called Tuscan Vineyard, and all supplies used are by Stampin Up as well. The top card….I die cut a circle in some vanilla cardstock, and die cut the scenery stamp as well – the scenery stamp is actually shaped in an oval, so made that decision super easy! I coloured the scene with inks and an aquabrush, and stamped the swirls in the corners to finish. The lower card….I stamped the grapes on watercolour cardstock, coloured with inks and an aquabrush and fussy cut.Stamped the swirl down the outer edge of vanilla cardstock, wrapped a ribbon around, and attached all to card base.( the sentiment is from an older stampin up stamp set). This afternoon I am in the craft room working on september lessons and it’s all about Christmas! Have you started your Christmas cards yet? Time is flying and it will be upon us before we know it! Til tomorrow….

Bo Bunny Butterfly Kisses number 5…

IMG_0317 (Medium)Hello and welcome to my new subscribers! Today we are looking at the last of my Bo Bunny Butterfly Kisses cards ( for now..I love this paper collection and will be re visiting it soon, but for now I have to make some Fathers day cards). This one is my favourite of the series because I have gone back to basics, relying on the paper to do all the work! The base is stampin up cardstock, and the first layer is a piece cut from one of the 12 x 12 sheets. The next piece is from the matching noteworthy pack, and I fussy cut some pink / apricot frondy bits from more paper and added a butterfly collectable and ribbon bow. Today i am teaching a class over at the retirement village,so i must go and remind myself what we are actually doing and gather all my bits and pieces together! Til tomorrow….

Bo Bunny Butterfly kisses number 4…

IMG_0315 (Medium)Bo Bunny Butterfly Kisses paper collection…in the collection is a sheet with lots of mason jars printed on it,so I fussy cut them out and this is one of the cards I made with the result. I added a butterfly from the collectables pack and the brad on the flower at the top was from the collection of brads that came with the collection. I think I said it before..the brads are gorgeous! A bit of layering and a ribbon bow ( of course) and this one was finished! day off today, shopping done, tea prepared and I am off to the craft room! Til tomorrow….

Bo Bunny Butterfly kisses 2 and 3..

IMG_0313 (Medium)IMG_0314 (Medium)Cards 2 and 3 in my Bo Bunny Butterfly kisses series, and the top card continues on the theme set with the first card, using another die from the stampin up tea time set. This time I used the tea pot die, and filled it with fussy cut flowers from the bo bunny paper. The cardstock and ribbon is from Stampin Up.The bottom card uses all bo bunny papers, variously cut from 12 x 12 sheets. I fussy cut the butterfly and the gorgeous brad is also from Bo bunny, the brads that came with this collection are amazing!. The cardstock is from stampin up. Til tomorrow….

Bo Bunny Butterfly Kisses number 1..

IMG_0311 (Medium)Today we start a new group of cards made with Bo Bunny Butterfly kisses. I love the colours on this paper! The cardstock I used was Stampin up, as was the tea cup die. I punched some flowers, added some liquid pearls and a kaisercraft flower, and a ribbon bow. Today in the craftt room I have finally found some time to sit down andd create with the new safari adventures paper by Graphic 45, I thought it might be perfect for some fathers day cards , which is what the next few weeks is going to be all about!
