I found some lovely vintage paper that I had to have, it’s called Magnolia lane and the paper company is Ultimate Crafts.I have been a bit time poor for crafting lately but I did find a spare 1/2 hour to cut into this gorgeous paper. I also bought the matching collectables, and really the papers don’t need much else. Here is the first one , I made it in a gatefold style and decorated the inside as well as the outside.Inked all my edges with tea dye distress ink and the cardstock is from Stampin Up.My Body is protesting at being back at work, my muscles are a wee bit sore, so I am off to fill the hot water bottle and treat my back to some heat! Prima tales of you and me number 8
Here is the last in the series of Prima tales of you and me, purely vintage, with a kaisercraft dress form die used, and a chipboard butterfly from the prima paper collection, as well as an assortment of flowers, and some gold twine. the sentiment is a spellbinders die. I have been missing for a few days, I had a stall at the local craft fair, and i really enjoyed myself. I had some wonderful helpers, and caught up with lots of crafty friends, sold lots of cards, and today is all about restoring order in the craft room ready to start all over again for next year! I have missed blogging and will be glad to return to normal. oh, today nathan and I also plan to make a you tube video for the card in a box cards – many people have asked how I make them, so hopefully there will be a clip up by the end of the week! til tomorow….

Truly Vintage with prima tales of you and me
Today I have indulged my favourite style – Vintage! The paper collection is Prima Tales of you and me, and I have used the same image on both cards. On the left card I fussy cut the image, and did some clean layering, inking the edges with tea dye distress ink as I went.I added a matching chipboard butterfly,a die cut leaf, Prima flowers and ribbon. For the right hand side I went for a more shabby feel – I love this style too, but have real trouble ripping and tearing my precious papers, but still I keep trying! I used the image as it was,die cut a flourish, and added some gold twine, a Prima flower and fussy cut butterflies, ribbon and lace. Today is a glorious winter day – the sun is shining, and this afternoon I am off to the retirement village to show the ladies how to make a bendy card! Til tomorrow….
Mothers day, prima tales of you and me
Prima Tales of you and me paper collection and matching die cuts, with some gorgeous prima flowers, and some recycled beading and lace. The birdcage is by kaisercraft and I found it in the bottom drawer of my craft room – a drawer I don’t go into very often but will be sorting out soon to see if there are any more fantastic finds like this one, in there! I inked over the birdcage with tea dye distress ink, and I made my card a DL size ( that’s a 21 x 21 piece of cardstock folded in half and fits into a DL envelope – the size envelope that you don’t like to see in your letterbox cos it’s usually a bill!) to accomodate the tallness of the birdcage! A day off today, shopping done, and i am off to Paper Flourish to seek out new papers! Til tomorrow…..
Very Vintage
I can’t remember at all what company brought out these papers, and I was actually very surprised to see them in the group we are working our way through! I would imagine it was a collection that came out just after christmas when life was hugely busy and i bought without paying too much attention! anyway i obviuosly made a couple of quick cards with it before I filed it away, and I am sure we will see it again at a future date!!Simple cards, with inked edges ,lace and ribbon.( and a bit of fussy cutting). It is horrendously humid here today and there will be no sitting in the craft room. I have spent some time working on the family tree, and I am at apoint where I have to confer with dad, so that is where I will be this afternoon – besides they have refridgerated air conditioning which is not affected by humidity like our unit is! Hello, and it’s good to be back!Thank you for all your best wishes, i have had my knee op and am in recovery mode now – it already feels better, and just have to take it easy for a couple of weeks more, and then should be good as new! todays cards ( 5 of them today) are made using Prima’s new christmas range which is called a Victorian Christmas. Love this paper as it gives me a chance to use my ribbon and lace.
