Truly Vintage with prima tales of you and me
Today I have indulged my favourite style – Vintage! The paper collection is Prima Tales of you and me, and I have used the same image on both cards. On the left card I fussy cut the image, and did some clean layering, inking the edges with tea dye distress ink as I went.I added a matching chipboard butterfly,a die cut leaf, Prima flowers and ribbon. For the right hand side I went for a more shabby feel – I love this style too, but have real trouble ripping and tearing my precious papers, but still I keep trying! I used the image as it was,die cut a flourish, and added some gold twine, a Prima flower and fussy cut butterflies, ribbon and lace. Today is a glorious winter day – the sun is shining, and this afternoon I am off to the retirement village to show the ladies how to make a bendy card! Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Cottage Rose number 7…
I am enjoying this collection of paper because I have been able to make quite a range of cards with it, wedding, anniversary, engagement, sympathy and now birthday.Todays card uses the 6″ pad only, and a few embellishments – green tara and kaisercraft flower, leaves die cut from the kaisercraft mini foilage die ( love this die – its a plate, and die cuts quite a few different leaves all in one go – great for die cutting scraps and keeping them on my desk for times when I need them)some stampin up gold twine, liquid pearls and a butterfly punched from my tim Holtz butterfly punch. The sentiments were also in the paper pad! Today is a good day…I have done the cooking I wanted to do in preparation for next week, the sun is shining after a very wet week – not that we ever complain when we get rain, my washing is drying on the line, and I am ready to spend some quality time in the craft room! life is good!! til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft cottage Rose number 2
Today we start a series of cards that I made with kaisercraft cottage Rose paper collection and matching collectables. This first one is a wedding card – I used a kaisercraft die for the sentiment and die cut it from stampin up silver cardstock.( this set of kaisercraft dies are brilliant – they have anniversary, engagement, birthday and congratulations all in the one set – brilliant value). The flowers are green tara and prima, and the silver thread is stampin up. I punched the leaves with my martha stewart leaf punch. This one is a favourite of mine! I was hoping to get into the craft room and make some more cards for my boxes, but I have a few orders to do, and I am picking up my new stampin up catalogue from my sister today, so will probably spend my spare time studying it and making an extensive wish list! Mothers day, prima tales of you and me
Prima Tales of you and me paper collection and matching die cuts, with some gorgeous prima flowers, and some recycled beading and lace. The birdcage is by kaisercraft and I found it in the bottom drawer of my craft room – a drawer I don’t go into very often but will be sorting out soon to see if there are any more fantastic finds like this one, in there! I inked over the birdcage with tea dye distress ink, and I made my card a DL size ( that’s a 21 x 21 piece of cardstock folded in half and fits into a DL envelope – the size envelope that you don’t like to see in your letterbox cos it’s usually a bill!) to accomodate the tallness of the birdcage! A day off today, shopping done, and i am off to Paper Flourish to seek out new papers! Til tomorrow…..
Prima tales of you and me 1 and 2 Mothers day

The next few cards are Mothers day cards, and I took the photos with my little point and shoot, as Nathan was busy and I needed to get them into my for sale boxes, so the quality may not be up to Nathans standard!I love this new paper range by Prima ( tales of you and me) and I really enjoyed digging through my lace, ribbon and bling, and also did a lot of die cutting. The top card has a kaisercraft die, and the bottom has a memory box fence and gate, and a couture creations lamp post.I die cut a branch in glitter cardstock,I think that one was a kaisercraft die. A bit of fussy cutting, some small flowers, silver thread and a charm.Quick post today as it is back to work for me! til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Le’Amour number 11
For the final card in my graphic 45 Le’Amour series I have made an easel card, and used a feather die that I got free on the front of a magazine. It cuts beautifully, and I love the shape of it.Just layering and minimal embellishing on this one. tomorrow we will start a new series – as much of a surprise to me as it will be to you because I can’t remember what we have coming up!The good news is I found my baby papers, the bad news is my pink buttons are still missing! No doubt they will turn up when I am not looking for them! graphic 45 Le Amour number 10
A gatefold design today made with graphic 45 Le Amour and just a bit of ribbon for embellishment.Tomorrow will be the last design using this paper for now, today I spent some time going through my boxes, in preparation for the craft fair in June, sorting out cards I am short of, and it appears from now until then I will be making a lot of mens cards! What a surprise! Not much mens papers around just now so I will have to rely on older paper in my craft room and stamp sets.I also spent a little while finishing off some baby boy cards I have been working on, and looking for my pink buttons! They have not been found, and nor has my stash of baby papers, I think the pink buttons must be with the baby papers, so find one and I hopefully will find both, but it beats me at the moment where they have got to. A bigger search will have to happen tomorrow!Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Le Amour number 9
Todays card with graphic 45 Le Amour is so simple..just a piece of patterned paper a little smaller than my card base, with some lace and ribbon wrapped around it,a ribbon bow and an image cut from one of the other papers in the collection.I think this one would make a good mothers day card!.It has been a lovely weekend here in Adelaide, the weather is mild with just the right amount of sun and the nights have been cool enough to dig out the quilt so good for sleeping! Just what I like! Til tomorrow….
