Today I am taking a break from preparing for my craft fair and meeting up with some great ladies I converse with in our craft group. It will be a lovely afternoon of crafting and chatting! Special Christmas card..
A quick visit back to Christmas cards, and this one was made with someone special in mind – she doesn’t like the traditional colours, so each year I get to experiment with non Christmas colours. This is this years one – the paper is from Stampin Up, and the dies are Kaisercraft. I backed the died outline with silver cardstock, ( the actual dies were cut out of black glitter card) and added some silver cord.Til tomorrow…..
Back to Christmas!
This is one of my favourite Christmas cards from this years’ makes. All supplies are from Stampin Up except for the bling, and the paper is a retired collection ( from stampin up) but I liked it so much last year I bought more for this years makes. This card and the next 2 I will show over the next couple of days were made for a village class I did a couple of weeks ago. I am back from my short break away to visit my son and his partner in Sydney, We had a lovely time, and the weather was good,my shoulder is still no good so I am now back off to the Dr to see what else he can do for me,I guess the craft room is still a no-go zone. Til tomorrow….
More Happy Reindeers..
Don’t these reindeers make you smile?I used an embossing folder for the background ( stampin Up) and ripped up white cardstock to make the foreground. I added aline of glue across the top of each layer and stuck on loose glitter.Fussy cut reindeers from stampin up home for christmas designer paper, and added die cut leaves and sentiment with kaisercraft dies. A sprinkle of red kaisercraft rhinestones and these which were a joy to make were done! Til tomorrow….
Home for Christmas
Stampin Up Home for Christmas designer papers, and cardstock. These ones are very simple with just a little layering and fussy cutting from the papers. The sentiment on the top card is by Kaisercraft and the bottom sentiment is a new stampin up stamp.Very quick and easy! til tomorrow….
The cutest Reindeer
We are still with Stampin Up designer papers from last year ( home for Christmas). One sheet was covered with the cutest reindeers, and I spent a couple of pleasant evenings cutting them all out! I cut the paper and cardstock into banners, wrapped some silver twine around the top, and stuck it all onto a card made from stampin up cardstock. The sentiment is stamped with an older stampin up stamp set, with a couple of kaisercraft rhinestones added too! We have a long weekend here, and i have quite a few orders to make as well as some family birthdays to keep me busy as well…Til tomorrow….
Christmas with Dies
Todays cards rely heavily on dies. The paper I used is by Stampin Up called Home for Christmas and it was released last year, but I still have a bit left. For the top card the sentiment die is a new release from memory box,and the scenery dies are by stampin up also a release from last year, but I didn’t get them in time to use them last year. The bottom card has a window die cut with a memory box die, with one of the stampin up dies behind it. The house and christmas tree were fussy cut from the stampin up paper. We are experiencing wild weather here at the moment, so will post this now in case we lose power again! Til tomorrow….
Yesterdays Retirement Village lesson…
Todays cards are the cards my ladies made over at the retirement village.Everything used ( except the ribbons on the top two cards) are Stampin Up supplies, and I admit I cheated on these ones taking inspiration from Pinterest! The colours I used on the top card was totally decided by the ribbon – I had it in my stash and was just waiting for a reason to use it- I love it! I always try to do three completely different cards for the ladies, and always include one male card, mainly because they avoid making them,so try to show them different ways of making and enjoying the process! this weekend my crafting mojo has finally reappeared, after going AWOL for a couple of weeks and I have been spending every spare minute in the craft room, so many ideas, so little time! Lots of wedding cards , they are a best seller over at the florists , luckilyn i love making wedding cards almost as much as baby cards! til tomorrow…..
stampin up birthday blooms, the second..
Here is the other card I have made with Stampin Up Birthday Blooms stamp set. Again, I coloured the image with copics, and used stampin up cardstock for my card blank. The paper is from stampin up botanical blooms designer paper ( has anyone noticed I have real trouble mixing my paper companies?)spellbinders scalloped die, and ribbon from my ribbon drawer. My voice is slowly coming back, but not enough to go to work, so today I will be resting, making a big pot of spinach soup, and hanging out a little bit in the craft room – Mothers day is only 4 weeks away, so I must make some more cards.Til tomorrow….
Stampin up designer paper..
In my quest to use up old papers I found two 1/2 sheets of this old Stampin up designer paper, and made these cards from them – I used every square inch of what was the equivalent of a whole sheet so great value here! The top two cards are quite straight forward with flowers fussy cut from the paper, sequins, gold twine and frilled ribbon – all products of stampin up. The bottom card in a box also has die cut butterflies( spellbinders)die cut in glitter card, and berry vine (kaisercraft) die cut in gold card. All the card stock used is also stampin up. Today will be a bit of a crafty day as I have a big card order to fulfill, and have one more card to come up with for the village lesson next weekend so a lovely day for me! til tomorrow…..
