I came up with this christmas front door card, and tried out 3 variations before I settled on the far right one as the one to go with. It’s quite easy to put together as it’s panels of card which I have hand embossed around,( stampin Up naturals ivory) and made the wreath with punched leaves, a ribbon bow and some liquid pearls in red, and kindyglitz. Don’t forget the door knob! Inside I wanted to look like a mantle piece so used two pieces of patterned paper ( kaisercraft twig and berries) and my stampin up stocking punch . I made little christmas cards to put across the top of my mantle piece using images from a piece of graphic 45 paper. My holidays are over, and I am back at work, so a little worn out, and may not make it into the craft room tonight – we will see! Elegant Bird
Todays card is a Christmas card, using Stampin UP Elegant Bird Die, and some scraps of paper. The glitter paper that I used on the birds wing is from Stampin Up, and I have been thinking and thinking trying to remember where I cut the word peace from, and I think I must have done it on my Cricut machine although if I remember differently I will let you all know!Quick post today, as it’s shopping night – Til tomorrow….
Canvas art number 1
As a bit of a break from cards ( just for today) i thought I would show you all something I have been experimenting with – Canvas Art.I have a few stamps that are shown off to better advantage when used in a scene like this, and it’s been in my mind for a while to try something like this. I used tim holtz ranger distress inks to colour the canvas background, and then stamped directly onto the canvas with some stamps from Oxford Impressions In the Deep. I stamped and coloured the fish seperately onto cardstock and stuck them onto the canvas, and added some netting, string and a brad for some added texture. I edged the canvas with Viva metallic paint in Gold.Hope you like my little diversion – back to cards tomorrow! Til tomorrow….

Christmas cards 2012 – simple…
Very little christmas purchases used on this one! The cuttlebug folder is Winter Tress, and I used my Tim Holtz embossing diffuser to leave an oval at the bottom plain so that I could stamp straight onto the cardstock. The stamp used came from Stampin Up Welcome Christmas, then all I had to do was add some thin gold ribbon, and die cut a flower from my Die – namics Upsey daisies die. I used stampin Up Chery Cobbler and handsome Hunter cardstock to try to make it look like a Poinsetta. had a lovely morning with my Ladies this morning, and spent a little time this afternoon in the craft room, mainly looking for things – I have to clean that room out!Til tomorrow…

Daydream Medallions and Christmas…
I found a way to use my new stamp set from Stampin Up – Daydream Medallions – on a christmas card. I love it when I can adapt everyday papers and stamps for christmas – it saves a bit of money to then spend on other crafty things! I embossed a cuttlebug folder using a Tim Holtz set 1 diffuser, which leaves that lovely flat surface in the centre for stampin on, which I did with Stampin Up wild wasabi ink and one of the medallion stamps from the above mentioned set. I inked around the edges of my card, and wrapped a little wild wasabi ribbon, and added holly with Rouge perfect pearls. I am looking forward to spending an hour or two in the craft room tonight unwinding … til tomorrow…
christmas cuttlebug card
This is the third in my spellbinders Lacey pennant christmas cards. I also used a cuttlebug embossing folder and spellbinders oval die. the paper is from Stampin Up – Be of Good Cheer, as is the wild wasabi ribbon. I finished it off with perfect pearls – Rouge and some kindyglitz.I have created a couple of different things this week, and I am hoping Nathan can photo them this weekend. Tonight I will be busy packing my craft bag – I am teaching 2 lessons tomorrow, so a busy crafty day ahead! Til tomorrow….
Be Of good Cheer…
This is the second Christmas card I made using my Spellbinders Lacey Pennant dies. The designer paper is Stampin Up Be of Good Cheer, as is the cherry cobbler cardstock and bakers twine.I threaded the twine through the loops of the pennant, and will try this idea again when I find some glittery thin gold ribbon – I think that would look effective. I am working on some different projects this week, but pretty tired after work so not getting very far… Til tomorrow….
