Shop 3 Corsets!
Shop 3 is a corsetry shop – all good main streets should have one! I used Graphic 45 Steampunk debutante paper, and Oxford impressions stamps – Corsetry – and I placed a little lace behind the lower windows. As with all the shops, there is acetate for the window glass. I’ve been busy creating in my room today, and will have to get my photographer on the job now to take some photos. Til tomorrow…..
Shop 2 Florist
Shop 2 in my series is the Florist. The canopy paper is from The little cake shop range from docrafts, and the patterned background paper in the top windows is from Papermania. I used stampin up cardstock – bashful Blue, and assorted stampin up stamps for the flowers . The name of the shop (Bloom) is also a stampin up stamp Another shop tomorrow! Til then…..
The little cake Shoppe
The name of this paper collection inspired the card, and I didn’t stop at one shop – I made a whole street! Over the next few days you will be welcomed into my shoe shop, flower shop etc etc…. I used Docrafts paper – The little cake shop, white card, and acetate for the windows. I cut the windows with my rectangle nestabilities, and that was the trickiest bit, making sure the windows lined up. I fussy cut the cakes from the paper for the lower windows. I had great fun making these cards, I hope you like them! Til tomorrow…..
Basic Grey Curio
Here is a card I made a couple of weeks ago, after I bought some Collection element chipboard pieces that were in the shape of a dressmakers dummy. I shaped the top of the dress to the chipboard, and crease folded the skirt. The papers used were Basic grey Curio, and I added lots of lace, just cos I love using it! Til tomorrow…..
Inked Embossing folder
Today I played around with my embossing folders to create a different look to my background. I used bazzil cardstock, a butterfly die, and lace and pearls, and for the background I swiped a Pixie Pink ( Stampin up) stamp pad over my embossing folder before I put it through the cuttlebug. A really quick and simple way to achieve a different look. I am busy today doing a huge order for wedding cards, which I have almost completed, but I also have to make some name day ceremony cards and I’m not sure what would be acceptable for that occasion – has anyone got any ideas? I would welcome any suggestions! Til tomorrow…..
Poppy Parade/Daffodil delight
Â
I made this card on a very hot day, and I think the weather influenced my colour choices, but I think it turned out ok! It is for a friend at work. I used Poppy Parade and Daffodil delight Stampin up cardstock, a Butterfly die cut, assorted flowers, Magnolia Jewels on a silver wire, and kaisercraft pearls.Short post today as its shopping night tonight. Easter Card
Todays card uses a sizzix die that I picked up really cheap on line, and a martha stewart punch. I can’t place the patterned paper, but I’ve had it for a while, and the basket and eggs were created using circle and oval punches. Today I haven’t done any class set ups or cards for my boxes, cos I’ve been creating a street full of shops! I’ve had great fun going through my stamps and papers to create a cake shop front card, a shoe shop, florist, and corsetry shop. I still want to do a travel agents, a handbag shop and a hardware shop. The more I do, the more I think of ! At this rate I’m not going to get anything else done! Til tomorrow….
Cheers to You
Todays card uses Stampin up Cheer to You stamp set, and Taken with teal cardstock. The patterned paper is Basic grey Junebug, and I also used Kaisercraft pearls, and coloured the stamped images with twinkling h2o’s.I have used this samp set a lot – its so versatile! Tonight I’m working on a card that features a cake shop window – I’m using acetate for the window panes. If it works I’ll post it when my photographer has time to take the photo! Til tomorrow…..
Teen Girl card
Todays card is so quick to make! When I first started cardmaking, I bought these outline stickers, and then wasn’t sure what to do with them, so they sat in a drawer for a couple of years, til I moved into my craft room and found them, so thought I would finally do something with them. I used Kaisercraft patterned paper, and bazill cardstock, and stuck the outline sticker onto some shiny paper. I then hand cut it out and mounted it onto the card along with some metallic ribbon. Til tomorrow…..
