I finished my orders yesterday, and here are two of them, the top card is being posted, so had to stay quite flat. I used Stampin Up botanical blooms dies and stampin up cardstock for this one, and die cut some glitter flourishes, punched a glitter butterfly, and added liquid pearls and sequins. the bottom card was much more textured with lots of flowers, more glitter flourishes, and key and ribbon bow. I am caught up with my orders now, but no crafting today, I am taking Mum out to spend her Mothers day money at Paper Flourish and we will visit spotlight too – we are on the hunt for very very fine paint brushes for dad, I found them on-line but they are very expensive and he goes through so many so we will have a look around locally.Til tomorrow….

Yesterdays Retirement Village lesson…

Todays cards are the cards my ladies made over at the retirement village.Everything used ( except the ribbons on the top two cards) are Stampin Up supplies, and I admit I cheated on these ones taking inspiration from Pinterest! The colours I used on the top card was totally decided by the ribbon – I had it in my stash and was just waiting for a reason to use it- I love it! I always try to do three completely different cards for the ladies, and always include one male card, mainly because they avoid making them,so try to show them different ways of making and enjoying the process! this weekend my crafting mojo has finally reappeared, after going AWOL for a couple of weeks and I have been spending every spare minute in the craft room, so many ideas, so little time! Lots of wedding cards , they are a best seller over at the florists , luckilyn i love making wedding cards almost as much as baby cards! til tomorrow…..
embossing and die cutting
The rose die that I used on these two cards was a freebie on the front of a card making magazine. On both cards I die cut the rose, then stuck it on contrasting card and fussy cut around it to give the two tone effect. I have some border embossing folders so they are the ones I used on the card on the right, and I used my Kaisercraft rose embossing folder on the left card – that folder is becoming a favourite! the fancy edge on the left card was die cut with spellbinders borders dies. Both cards were finished off with ribbon bows. The “with love” is another freebie die,and I die cut the letters on the other card to spell Mum.Quick post today, til tomorrow…..
stampin up birthday blooms, the second..
Here is the other card I have made with Stampin Up Birthday Blooms stamp set. Again, I coloured the image with copics, and used stampin up cardstock for my card blank. The paper is from stampin up botanical blooms designer paper ( has anyone noticed I have real trouble mixing my paper companies?)spellbinders scalloped die, and ribbon from my ribbon drawer. My voice is slowly coming back, but not enough to go to work, so today I will be resting, making a big pot of spinach soup, and hanging out a little bit in the craft room – Mothers day is only 4 weeks away, so I must make some more cards.Til tomorrow….
Stampin Up birthday Blooms stamp set
Although I have called this post stampin up birthday blooms stamp set I have only used one stamp out of the set.As I sit here looking at the set I see lots more potential for this one – it has a nice range of sentiment stamps, focal image stamps and even a cute heart border stamp so I will have to leave it out on my desk to play some more!I stamped this image with memento black ink, coloured with copics, and die cut with spellbinders scalloped circle die. The cardstock is stampin up regal rose, and I embossed the background layer with kaisercraft roses embossing folder.I popped over to Paper flourish today to pick up some papers for June classes, and found a few new dies and papers to put in my basket so can’t wait to get into the craft room, but for now I am off to the Dr to get something for my lack of voice! til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Ma Cherie number 4
I have some more Kaisercraft Ma Cherie cards to show you. This first one is simply a panel of 12 x 12 paper on top of a card blank ( stampin up cardstock), and I die cut a piece of the card front 12 x 12 papers with a circle die, die cut a scalloped circle ( spellbinders classic scalloped circles) and added flowers, ribbon and a couple of fussy cut betterflies. I knew I had bought this paper, but I searched high and low and couldn’t find it so I bought it all over again, then found the original purchase! I now have lots of this paper, luckily its a beautiful paper range and since making this group of cards I have pulled it out again and it is currently on my desk ready for new ideas this weekend!Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Le’Amour number 11
For the final card in my graphic 45 Le’Amour series I have made an easel card, and used a feather die that I got free on the front of a magazine. It cuts beautifully, and I love the shape of it.Just layering and minimal embellishing on this one. tomorrow we will start a new series – as much of a surprise to me as it will be to you because I can’t remember what we have coming up!The good news is I found my baby papers, the bad news is my pink buttons are still missing! No doubt they will turn up when I am not looking for them! Til tomorrow….
graphic 45 Le Amour number 10
A gatefold design today made with graphic 45 Le Amour and just a bit of ribbon for embellishment.Tomorrow will be the last design using this paper for now, today I spent some time going through my boxes, in preparation for the craft fair in June, sorting out cards I am short of, and it appears from now until then I will be making a lot of mens cards! What a surprise! Not much mens papers around just now so I will have to rely on older paper in my craft room and stamp sets.I also spent a little while finishing off some baby boy cards I have been working on, and looking for my pink buttons! They have not been found, and nor has my stash of baby papers, I think the pink buttons must be with the baby papers, so find one and I hopefully will find both, but it beats me at the moment where they have got to. A bigger search will have to happen tomorrow!Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Le Amour number 9
Todays card with graphic 45 Le Amour is so simple..just a piece of patterned paper a little smaller than my card base, with some lace and ribbon wrapped around it,a ribbon bow and an image cut from one of the other papers in the collection.I think this one would make a good mothers day card!.It has been a lovely weekend here in Adelaide, the weather is mild with just the right amount of sun and the nights have been cool enough to dig out the quilt so good for sleeping! Just what I like! Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Le amour 5 and 6

Some cards over the next couple of days from a range from Graphic 45 , Le Amour. The top card has lots of fussy cutting, and just a ribbon bow, whereas the bottom card has a bit more work – I die cut a dress form with a kaisercraft die, and a small doily ( also kaisercraft) and added a ribbon, gold thread and a stampin up cream ribbon rose for some added texture. Today while shopping a had a look at some greeting cards, just out of curiosity – I haven’t bought a card for years, and I couldn’t believe the prices!! $10 for a card! Wow! I will stick to making mine – I save money and relax at the same time – it’s win win! Til tomorrow…..
