embossing and die cutting

IMG_4120 (Medium)The rose die that I used on these two cards was a freebie on the front of a card making magazine. On both cards I die cut the rose, then stuck it on contrasting card and fussy cut around it to give the two tone effect. I have some border embossing folders so they are the ones I used on the card on the right, and I used my Kaisercraft rose embossing folder on the left card – that folder is becoming a favourite! the fancy edge on the left card was die cut with spellbinders borders dies. Both cards were finished off with ribbon bows. The “with love” is another freebie die,and I die cut the letters on the other card to spell Mum.Quick post today, til tomorrow…..

  1. Both are lovely Helen..xx…how is your little Luna going? My little Jack Russell puppy was born last week..so in about 7 weeks little Bruiser will join the family..xx

    1. How exciting Marcia – puppies are wonderful! Although Luna is 4 months old now and getting into all kinds of mischief – I am teaching myself crocheting and I have lost count of the amount of times she has run off with my wool. One day i came home from work to fing three balls completely unwound and spread through our the house – lucky she is too cute!

      1. It’s been 10 years since I’ve had a puppy…I’m sure there will be lots of fun and games with a little Jack Russell..good on you for learning to crochet..I find it much easier than knitting..crochet some little flowers for your cards..they will add some “pop”..xx

      2. I love jack Russels,Our last dog was a jack Russell, and Luna is 1/2 jack Russell.I am looking forward to being able to crochet my own little doilies for my cards!
