KaisercraftPeek -a -boo 7,8..

img_0707-mediumimg_0709-mediumHere are the last two kaisercraft peek-a boo cards for now, the top card has lace, ribbon and a couple of punched hearts, rounded corners and paper from the 6″ pad, while the bottom card is still using the baby girl collection and matching collectables but i have managed to make a lovely floral birthday card with it. I have been busy putting the final touches to all the cruise kits, with the help of my wonderful sister Kay – so lucky she was able to do most of the work while I was out of action with my shoulder ( which is now well on the road to recovery but i still have to be careful) So glad she is coming along with me on the cruise, she deserves it after all the work she has done! Today is all about preparing march lessons if I get a chance to venture into the craft room. Life is hectic here just now! til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian 7 and 8 the last 2..

img_3308-mediumimg_3309-mediumHere are my last 2 cards made with Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian for now.The cardstock I used is from Stampin Up and blends in well with the colours on this paper. Just lots of layering and fussy cutting on both cards and a ribbon bow on each for a touch of texture. As I am still restricted with my shoulder as to what i can acheive in the craft room i thought this weekend I might have a try at making some flower sprays, so i have been gathering odd flowers, leaves , wire and various other bits and pieces and will sit down this afternoon and see what happens! Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian 5 and 6

img_3306-mediumimg_3307-mediumA quick post today as I am all behind after spending an hour with Nathan chasing that little puppy all over the neighbourhood after she escaped from a hole in the fence which Nathan has now patched temporarily until Joe gets home and fixes it properly! The top card is just one of the images from a sheet of 12 x 12 paper ( graphic 45 Cafe Parisian) and the bottom card is a gatefold design – I like doing them because it’s easy to decorate the inside as well and then there is no “insert” dilemma! I found a scrap of yellow ribbon for the bow. Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Ooh La La 3..

img_3297-mediumStraight away I must confess this is not my design..it is the design of my good friend Mandii, who designed it for the Class in a box kit that I bought from Paper Flourish.I don’t usually do the designs suggested in the box, I go off on a tangent and do my own thing, but I fell in love with this one of Mandiis. Everything on the card was in the box, and of course the main item is the gorgeous Kaisercraft Ooh La la papers. This is the last with this paper for now, I have many more waiting to be photographed so we will be returning to it soon, but next up on the blog list is some more Christmas cards, we are getting to the end of them now! Today is my little puppy’s first birthday so i must go and make a fuss of her…til tomorrow….

Second village card

img_3530-mediumThis card is the second village card I made with the ladies a couple of weeks ago.The cardstock is Stampin up, and the glitter die cut is a kaisercraft die and kaisercraft gliter card. The Merry Christmas and the pointsetta dies are Kaisercraft.I backed the glitter flourish circle with a plain die cut circle, and scattered a bit of bling. I have ventured into the craft room today, die cutting is out of the question, but the lure of so many new papers that I haven’t been able to play with is too much! I am creating with Kaisercraft Ooh La la, – I bought a class in a box from paper Flouirsh and there are enough bits and pieces in the box that I don’t need to die cut anything so it’s all good. A quick card..

img_3537-medium

While I had the Kaisercraft true Romance papers out practising my pleating skills I made a very quick card to pop in the box ready for next year(!),I know but I go where the inspiration leads me..Just two pieces of layered paper , inked around the edges with tea dye ink,a fussy cut flower, and one of the tags that came with the collection.A bow to tie in the colours of the butterfly and bird, and the little doily under the tag and this was a very quick make.I am still nursing my sore shoulder, off to the Dr shortly because it has to be better before I fly over to Sydney at the end of the week to visit my son who works over there!Til tomorrow….

Another Pleating technique

img_3536-mediumAfter mastering the previous pleating technique, I stepped it up and tried aone that was a little more difficult. Lots of measuring on this one, but well worth the effort for the finished product.I am just hoping as I sit here that i have filed away the measurements! As the paper I used was so close to the background layer I inked the edges of the pleats to define it a little bit.The flowers I added were from Kaisercraft and i added a punched leaf and a ribbon bow to finish. The paper collection is Kaisercraft True Romance, and older release ,but one of my favourites.I have a really sore shoulder today, and not much use of my right arm, so I think the craft room is out of the question this weekend, looks like a reading weekend for relaxation! Til tomorrow…

Graphic 45 St. Nicholas 3 and 4..

img_3523-mediumimg_3524-mediumHere are the other two cards I made with Graphic 45 St. Nicholas paper collection. I had to pack that paper away to work on some orders, and I haven’t got back to it yet.On the top card I did something a little different – I used border stickers to frame the main image, while the bottom card has a little bit of fussy cutting. I think we will take a bit of a break from all things christmas next time and have a look at a few other cards I have been making!Til tomorrow…..

Graphic 45 A place in time number 7

IMG_7237 (Medium)Here is the last card I made with my 2 sheets of Graphic 45 A place in time March cut outs. tomorrow we will move on to some cards with a tropical beach theme, in keeping with the very hot weather we are experiencing here1. Here I used stampin Up garden green cardstock, some lovely purple bazil, a cheery lyn tropical flourish die and a few flowers. the image was actually two, which I folded in half, lined up the bracket shape and stuck them together. Thats all for today, I am teaching a lesson tonight so must go and get organised. Til tomorrow…

Grapohic 45 A place in Time number 3

IMG_7233 (Medium)Graphic 45 a place in Time march Cut outs paper, and some pretty Bazil for matting. The card stock is Stampin Up Garden Green, and just a little lace down the side. A liberal squirt of Kindyglitz and this one was a very quick make indeed!Very hot day here in South Australia, so definitely no card making tonight – just trying to stay cool in front of the T.V. for me!
