Prima Sweet Peppermint 5 and 6..

img_3319-mediumimg_3320-mediumWe continue on with my series of cards made with Prima Sweet peppermint, and I enjoyed the chance to rummage around in my lace stash to make these ones! The gold tape I used is by kaisercraft, and I distressed edges and inked with Tea dye distress ink. My wonderful mum and sister did a lot of die cutting for me yesterday so that I could fulfill an order, so I have been enjoying the craft room today, in the peace and quiet as everyone else is off doing their own thing! Kaisercraft Ooh La La 3..

img_3297-mediumStraight away I must confess this is not my design..it is the design of my good friend Mandii, who designed it for the Class in a box kit that I bought from Paper Flourish.I don’t usually do the designs suggested in the box, I go off on a tangent and do my own thing, but I fell in love with this one of Mandiis. Everything on the card was in the box, and of course the main item is the gorgeous Kaisercraft Ooh La la papers. This is the last with this paper for now, I have many more waiting to be photographed so we will be returning to it soon, but next up on the blog list is some more Christmas cards, we are getting to the end of them now! Today is my little puppy’s first birthday so i must go and make a fuss of her…til tomorrow….

Kaisecraft Ooh La La..!.

img_3296-mediumThis is the first card I made with kaisercraft Ooh La La paper collection. I love this collection and bought the Paper Flourish Class in a box because it had all the 12 x 12 papers as well as a lot of other bits and pieces that match in with the papers. I also purchased the 6″ pad and another pack of collectables to extend the set.I am so glad I did because it’s the only collection I have been able to use in my craft room while I am not able to use my shoulder. I haven’t needed to do any die cutting as there is enough in the collection to keep things interesting. Anyway this one uses papers from the 6″ pad,a sentiment and ric rac from the box,and some punched leaves and flowers from Kaisercraft and Green Tara.Til tomorrow….

Stampin Up Star of light

img_3531-mediumThe third and Final Village card was one made with almost all Stampin Up supplies. The Stamp set is Star of light and I also used the matching die set. I stamped little stamps in blue sky ink before running the layer through a stampin up embossing folder. This one is a very simple card with very little embellishment. I have managed to make a few cards over the last couple of days, pacing myself and staying right away from the die cutting machine!Thank goodness for Kaisercraft ooh La La paper collection – no need for dies with this collection! Second village card

img_3530-mediumThis card is the second village card I made with the ladies a couple of weeks ago.The cardstock is Stampin up, and the glitter die cut is a kaisercraft die and kaisercraft gliter card. The Merry Christmas and the pointsetta dies are Kaisercraft.I backed the glitter flourish circle with a plain die cut circle, and scattered a bit of bling. I have ventured into the craft room today, die cutting is out of the question, but the lure of so many new papers that I haven’t been able to play with is too much! I am creating with Kaisercraft Ooh La la, – I bought a class in a box from paper Flouirsh and there are enough bits and pieces in the box that I don’t need to die cut anything so it’s all good. Another Pleating technique

img_3536-mediumAfter mastering the previous pleating technique, I stepped it up and tried aone that was a little more difficult. Lots of measuring on this one, but well worth the effort for the finished product.I am just hoping as I sit here that i have filed away the measurements! As the paper I used was so close to the background layer I inked the edges of the pleats to define it a little bit.The flowers I added were from Kaisercraft and i added a punched leaf and a ribbon bow to finish. The paper collection is Kaisercraft True Romance, and older release ,but one of my favourites.I have a really sore shoulder today, and not much use of my right arm, so I think the craft room is out of the question this weekend, looks like a reading weekend for relaxation! Graphic 45 St. Nicholas 1 and 2…

img_3520-mediumimg_3522-mediumI managed to find a little time to make some Christmas cards with the new Graphic 45 St Nicholas range. Graphic 45 still remains a favourite paper company of mine because I can fussy cut so much of it.So lots of fussy cutting on the top card, and a little on the bottom card along with some ribbon and cardstock from stampin up.A rainy day here, different from our 30 c weather we had yesterday, but a great day for the craft room! Til tomorrow…

Kaisercraft Christmas wishes ..the last..

img_3509-mediumimg_3510-mediumThis is the last of the Kaisercraft Christmas wishes series for this year. I will put the rest away to start me off next year. The top card is another gatefold, while the bottom card uses up a few scraps punched into hexagons, inspired by the shape of the greeting which came from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper. The trim on both cards is from Stampin Up. I have cleared my craft desk of all things christmas for today and I am going to explore the possibilities with my new purchases…I think Graphic 45 to start!Happy Crafting, til tomorrow…..

More Happy Reindeers..

img_9364-mediumDon’t these reindeers make you smile?I used an embossing folder for the background ( stampin Up) and ripped up white cardstock  to make the foreground. I added aline of glue across the top of each layer and stuck on loose glitter.Fussy cut reindeers from stampin up home for christmas designer paper, and added die cut leaves and sentiment with  kaisercraft dies. A sprinkle of red kaisercraft rhinestones and these which were a joy to make were done! Til tomorrow….

Sweet Nothings 7 male card…

I buy a lot of very pretty feminine paper, so my goal is always to try and make one male card with them, but the Kaisercraft sweet nothings range nearly defeated me, it is so soft and feminine. I am cheating a little calling this a sweet nothings card, but I did use the images from the collectables pack that co – ordinates with this range. The background paper is a scrap of Prima paper, and I used a prima stamp around the edge of a hand cut tag. The quote I printed out on my printer.Tonight I am heading into my craft room, and it will be the first time in ages that I have a long session in there – I will hang a do not disturb sign on the door!
