Very last of Make it Berry..

img_9349-mediumThis is the very last of my October Afternoon Make it Berry collection. I have loved revisiting this collection, but  what is left of it has gone into the surplus to requirements bag, as I can’t keep everything. My craft room is becoming a fire hazard! I made this card as a DL size card ( cardstock 21 x 21 cm and folded in half) to accommodate the tall reindeer image. A bit of offset layering, lace and ribbon and this one is ready to go! A new series tomorrow, Til then ….

The last three Belle Vie cards

img_9340-mediumimg_9338-mediumimg_9339-mediumimg_9339-mediumHere are the last three cards I made with my 2 pieces of Julie Nutting Belle Vie paper. The bottom card ( which I have accidentally posted twice!)has a little fussy cutting on it and a metal charm as well, the second card has a paper bow made from a punch I bought from stampin up, and the top card has a little bicycle charm. I loved making this card series as I got to dig through forgotten boxes of bits and pieces to decorate them!I have a new plan – put one of those forgotten boxes on my desk and use them up that way!I have been busy today in the craft room fulfilling 3 orders, and working on a class which is coming together beautifully..til tomorrow…..

Stampin Up Birthday Blooms stamp

IMG_5635 (Medium)Todays card is a mix of embossing and stamping and colouring. The embossing folder I used on the background Is a kaisercraft Roses embossing folder, and I sprinkled a few rhinestones over it. The main image is a stampin up stamp from their Birthday Blooms stamp set and I coloured it with copics and fussy cut it out, attaching to the front of the card with 3d foam pads. A little ribbon and lace and this card is a very feminine card indeed! This morning I have been busy creating in the kitchen, an apple crumble for later, a pasta bake for a quick meal in the next couple of days, and some spinach soup for lunch today made with spinach from the garden. I feel i have earned some time in the craft room! til tomorrow….

More Ultimate crafts magnolia Lane

IMG_5632 (Medium)IMG_5633 (Medium)The other two cards I made while I had this paper ( ultimate crafts Magnolia Lane0 out on the desk …I love vintage style cards because I get to put lots of lovely ribbon and lace  on them, and I certainly did that with these two! The top card has lots of the collectables that I purchased with the paper layered on top of each other, as well as a doily, a flourish die cut, ribbon and some pearls that were laying on my table.Everything was inked with Tea Dye distress ink. The bottom card is more simple, the strip of paper below the blue ribbon was from the bottom of one of the papers – the identity strip that the barcode is on …sometime these strips come in very handy!butterfly and flower image is from the pack of collectables, and I used some gorgeous soft gathered lace to finish.Today is a day off, and it is a wild wet and stormy day day here, perfect for relaxing in the craft room! til tomorrow….

Truly Vintage with prima tales of you and me

IMG_0591 (Medium)Today I have indulged my favourite style – Vintage! The paper collection is Prima Tales of you and me, and I have used the same image on both cards. On the left card I fussy cut the image, and did some clean layering, inking the edges with tea dye distress ink as I went.I added a matching chipboard butterfly,a die cut leaf, Prima flowers and ribbon. For the right hand side I went for a more shabby feel – I love this style too, but have real trouble ripping and tearing my precious papers, but still I keep trying! I used the image as it was,die cut a flourish, and added some gold twine, a Prima flower and fussy cut butterflies, ribbon and lace. Today is a glorious winter day – the sun is shining, and this afternoon I am off to the retirement village to show the ladies how to make a bendy card! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Cottage Rose 5 and 6…

IMG_0599 (Medium)IMG_0601 (Medium)The cards today are still in my Kaisercraft cottage rose series, this time a thinking of you card, and a birthday card.I kept the thinking of you card very simple, with just a punched butterfly and ribbon bow. the papers on both cards are from the 6″ pad in the collection, and the sentiments are also from the pad.For the birthday card I added some lace and ribbon, liquid pearls and another punched butterfly using my Tim holtz butterfly punch. I have done a marathon grocery shop today, I am working full time hours next week for stocktake, so I am planning to cook a lot of meals on the weekend to save some time during the week! In the meantime, if I miss a couple of posts next week you will all know why! til tomorrow…

Graphic 45 raining cats and dogs

IMG_0590 (Medium)While I had my graphic 45 raioning Cats and dogs paper out to make the bendy card ( previous Post) I made one last card with it before putting all the leftovers into a bag for the craft fair sale. I had a couple of this image, so I used one for the base, and then cut into the second image to make some 3d layers. I added ribbon, lace and bling to finish. A day off today, shopping done, and now i am heading into the craft room to relax a bit! til tomorrow….

Mothers day, prima tales of you and me

IMG_6433Prima Tales of you and me paper collection and matching die cuts, with some gorgeous prima flowers, and some recycled beading and lace. The birdcage is by kaisercraft and I found it in the bottom drawer of my craft room – a drawer I don’t go into very often but will be sorting out soon to see if there are any more fantastic finds like this one, in there! I inked over the birdcage with tea dye distress ink, and I made my card a DL size ( that’s a 21 x 21 piece of cardstock folded in half and fits into a DL envelope – the size envelope that you don’t like to see in your letterbox cos it’s usually a bill!) to accomodate the tallness of the birdcage! A day off today, shopping done, and i am off to Paper Flourish to seek out new papers! Til tomorrow…..

Prima tales of you and me 1 and 2 Mothers day

IMG_6430IMG_6434The next few cards are Mothers day cards, and I took the photos with my little point and shoot, as Nathan was busy and I needed to get them into my for sale boxes, so the quality may not be up to Nathans standard!I love this new paper range by Prima ( tales of you and me) and I really enjoyed digging through my lace, ribbon and bling, and also did a lot of die cutting. The top card has a kaisercraft die, and the bottom has a memory box fence and gate, and a couture creations lamp post.I die cut a branch in glitter cardstock,I think that one was a kaisercraft die. A bit of fussy cutting, some small flowers, silver thread and a charm.Quick post today as it is back to work for me! til tomorrow….
