The top photo is the next in my Prima Sun Kiss series,Paper, chipboard, prima bling, ribbon and lace. The bottom photo is my throw rug which I finished last night – it was meant to be a quick knit throw, but took me a little longer, because I spent most of my time trying to keep Luna the puppy away from my balls of wool. even now that it is finished she seems quite attached to it! Easter Monday here, reality hits tomorrow when it is back to work, but for now a bit of a tidy up in the craft room! til tomorrow….
Prima Sun Kiss 2 and 3..
Still with Prima Sun Kiss papers and matching chipboards, these ones are Mothers day cards.I have added lace and ribbon, and the swirly blingy bit is from prima, and I cut it into pieces and I have used it on a few cards,so although not the cheapest item I have ever bought, quite good value when you can use it on four or five cards!I hope you all are having a nice relaxing Easter , stay safe, Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Le Amour number 9
Todays card with graphic 45 Le Amour is so simple..just a piece of patterned paper a little smaller than my card base, with some lace and ribbon wrapped around it,a ribbon bow and an image cut from one of the other papers in the collection.I think this one would make a good mothers day card!.It has been a lovely weekend here in Adelaide, the weather is mild with just the right amount of sun and the nights have been cool enough to dig out the quilt so good for sleeping! Just what I like! Til tomorrow….
I can’t remember at all what company brought out these papers, and I was actually very surprised to see them in the group we are working our way through! I would imagine it was a collection that came out just after christmas when life was hugely busy and i bought without paying too much attention! anyway i obviuosly made a couple of quick cards with it before I filed it away, and I am sure we will see it again at a future date!!Simple cards, with inked edges ,lace and ribbon.( and a bit of fussy cutting). It is horrendously humid here today and there will be no sitting in the craft room. I have spent some time working on the family tree, and I am at apoint where I have to confer with dad, so that is where I will be this afternoon – besides they have refridgerated air conditioning which is not affected by humidity like our unit is! Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Home Sweet Home, kitchen tea
My sister was going to a kitchen tea, so I made her this card. I shaped the front of the card base like an apron, and then covered it and the inside with graphic 45 Home sweet home paper. I made a pocket for the front of the apron, and didn’t stick down the top edge so that I could pop a recipe card in it – the graphic 45 Home sweet home collection had these in the collection. Ribbon, and lace to finish! The weather here is much milder this week,so I am feeling a lot more comfortable, although it is heating up again for the weekend so I will make the most of the cooler weather while it’s here!Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Curiosity 10,11….
Oops! you all saw the 21st card yesterday! I liked it so much I put it up again!!!( technical glitch). The paper collection and matching collectables is Kaisercraft Curiosity, and I did a bit of fussy cutting, and just added a touch of ribbon and lace. I am glad I decided to go back and use the paper I have because I haven’t bought any paper yet this year..( I know!!). So far nothing has grabbed my imagination, but I am hoping that changes when all the american new releases hit our stores.Meanwhile this morning i am off to teach a lesson, so must go and get organised. Til tomorrow….
Goodbye to Kaisercraft blae and Ivy..
Today we say goodbye to Kaisercraft Blae and Ivy collection. I took it out for a last play, and the leftover papers in this collection have gone into the pile to sort and sell at Junes craft fair. I love the blue card at the top of the post – I used my Stampin Up bird punch, kaisercraft numbers die set, lace and ribbon for this one and the card below has prima flowers, ribbon, lace and bling.Thats another paper collection played with for the last time and culled! Just at least 100 to go!Now is the time for me to start on my Mothers day cards, so i should be able to get through a few collections in the next few weeks. For now though I am off to Paper Flourish to collect some supplies for March lessons. Til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft Little One 5,6, and 7..
Kaisercraft Little One paper collection and collectables.I had this paper out for a different reason, which I will show you all next time, but while it was out I did a couple of quick cards with it to top up my boxes.Very minimal embellishing on these ones, just my go -to ribbon, and a few buttons. I found a few heart shaped buttons in my stash and thought they were perfect for these cards. a welcome day off today, and the grocery shopping is done so i will spend a couple of hours in the craft room. I haven’t been in there much lately, it’s been too hot, and still is, but my fingers are itching to sit down and create, so I will get in the zone and ignore the weather! thank you all for your comments, I feel we are building a lovely card making community and I so enjoy hearing from all of you! til tomorrow…..
kaisercraft telegraph road.
I made these cards for a village class, so I kept them quite simple. The paper is from kaisercraft – telegraph road, and I added some lace, ribbon and flowers, punched leaves and stamped sentiments.Well, we are still hot here in adelaide,so far this month we haven’t had a day under 25c, so quite looking forward to winter this year!! I started work super early today, so home early, I am going to prepare some tea, and have a nice seat under the air conditioner duct with my book. Til tomorrow….
Secret Garden ..
WordPress has changed how I post on my blog, and I don’t like it! even Nathan my go to techie son is having problems, so I hope this works! Todays card is still kaisercraft Secret garden, the second to last card in this series ( for now) I couldn’t lose this paper, and have filed it away for future card making. This card has lots of goodies on it – punched leaves and butterflies, ribbon, lace ( a find from a country second hand shop), a doily, flowers and a collectable doily as well. i think this is my favourite, but I do love this paper. Today is a lovely day here weather wise, not too hot, so a good day for a bit of house keeping before a couple of hours in the craft room. til tomorrow….
