My minds eye ..Fancy That ..2..

IMG_7232 (Medium)My second wedding card made with my Minds eye fancy that. Lots of lace, and gold thread here, and the heart is fussy cut from one of the journalling cards. I always look at the journalling cards first, and if there are any that won’t make a suitable card topper they get fussy cut up into pieces I will use. Nothing is wasted with the journalling cards!Til tomorrow…..

My Minds Eye Fancy That…1..

IMG_7237 (Medium)A complete change from christmas cards… wedding cards! The paper collection is My Minds Eye Fancy that, and I have half a dozen celebration type cards to show over the next few days. This paper is foiled, so didn’t need much embellishing – the journalling cards that go with the collection are great for toppers, and all I added to this one was some gold string/twine..this card is for our friends wedding this weekend( I may miss it due to the whole knee thing, but the rest of my family will go).I have gathered my supplies for my January classes and all ready to head into the craft room, I am ok as long as I stop each hour and elevate the leg for equivelant time so it’s getting much better! Today is a terribly hot windy dusty day here, and I am glad I am inside! til tomorrow…..

graphic 45 Le’Amour wedding card

IMG_2942 (Medium)Yesterday we attended the wedding of some friends, ( it was lovely), and I made this special card for them. The paper collection is Graphic 45 Le’Amour, and I did some fussy cutting and layering, and used one of the journalling cards from the same collection at the base of the card. The Bee in the heart up in the top corner is there because one half of the couple is called Bea, and I thought it added a very personal touch! she can take it off the card and keep it as a memento of the day if she wants. Til tomorrow…..

Three more Wedding cards

IMG_6532 (Medium)IMG_6537 (Medium)IMG_6536 (Medium)Here are the final three of my wedding card series – the top two cards are made with kaisercraft on this Day paper collection, and the bottom card is a mix of papers I found in my drawer, and prima flowers and some punched leaves. I think the flowers on the top two are also Prima, and of course ribbon and lace used liberally on all cards! Today I have been putting together some Prima doll stamp cards, and mulling over ideas for my July classes. can’t believe I am already thinking about july – where is this year going? Til tomorrow…..

Cuttlebug Wedding card idea

IMG_0864 (Medium)This is a card very similar to one of the cards my ladies made in a class last month. All white cardstock, and a piece of white cardstock run through a hearts embossing folder. For the cake I cut 3 squares – 5cm,4cm,and 3 cms and rounded the top corners of each, then stuck them together along the top edges of the squares. Mount on the card front with foam pads, add ribbon and punched flowers, some kaisercraft pearls, your own sentiment and this is a simple wedding card done!Off to work I go… til tomrrow…..

Simple Stories the story of us numbers 11 and 12

IMG_5769 (Medium)IMG_5770 (Medium)Here are the last two cards in my simple stories – the story of us series. The top card (anniversary) has just lace and sequins added, while the bottom card just has a bit of fussy cutting and sequins.I did enjoy making these cards – the paper was so easy to work with, and I made all these cards just in one sitting.Love it when that happens.Last night I went to a class to learn how to colour with copic markers, lots to learn all at once, so today I have been in the craft room practising, but I have to get a few more colours before I can complete any of my images. So I moved onto distress ink colouring as I have a lot of images stamped out ready to paint, so no completed work today, just relaxing fun playing with colours! til tomorrow…..

Simple Stories – The story of us, 9 and 10.

IMG_5767 (Medium)IMG_5768 (Medium)Two wedding cards today, although the bottom card could also be used for anniversary, engagement or even valentines day, from Simple stories the story of us paper collection.A bit of fussy cutting involved here, especially on the top card, and just some punched leaves, pearls, and ribbon bow to finish. Thank you all for sticking with me through this simple stories marathon, we have two more tomorrow and then we will move on! I certainly got my moneys worth with theses few sheets of paper!Today I sat down at my craft table and found some images I had stamped and coloured, so I turned them all into cards so feel good – I tidied and created all at once! Til tomorrow…

Simple Stories, The story of us 7 and 8

IMG_5765 (Medium)IMG_5766 (Medium)Two more cards made with Simple stories ..The story us paper collection. I used doilies and flowers, punched leaves and liquid pearls on both these cards, and the addition of die cut hearts ( one run through my machine with a swiss dots embossing folder) on the bottom card.Today I was out and about looking for a  smaller desk for my craft room. The trestle table just invites random placing of items, and before I know it no room for me to work, but so far no luck in my search. ikea have an ideal one but they were out of stock, and I really wanted to organise my room while I was on holiday, but i will just have to wait!Til tomorrow….

Simple Stories, the story of us 5 and 6..

IMG_5763 (Medium)IMG_5764 (Medium)Simple Stories, the story of us paper collection. the beauty of this paper was that it didn’t need too much else to complete the cards. The top card has some fussy cutting, sequins, ribbon and a leaf punch, while the bottom card has the addition of a doily, flower some sequins and leaf punch.Today I have been busy putting together some Ikea furniture, while Nathan rejigged the sitting room corner where my computer lives. So pleased with myself that I managed to follow the instructions and build my 2 drawer wooden filing cabinet, and I only have a couple of screws and thingmajigs left over. I hope they weren’t integral to the sturdiness of my cabinet! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft yuletide 14 ..not christmas!

IMG_3179 (Medium)This paper was in the pack of 12 x 12 Kaisercraft Yuletide I purchased, but as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to make a card other than christmas with it.It is in the lightest shade of old fashioned pink, so ribbon and lace were also a must! I die cut a Memory Box catalina wreath, and Tilda flourish ( also out of kaisercraft yuletide) and just added pearls and Prima flowers to finish.day off today, but a huge amount of shopping to do, and a birthday card for an order to complete, but up to date now and after a work day tomorrow I am looking forward to finally getting some crafting done on the weekend.Til tomorrow….
